The Sandyq restaurant in Astana is a culinary gem that exemplifies the artistry of Kazakh cuisine. Each dish, from the meticulously crafted salads to the main courses, is a testament to the chef's mastery. The horse meat, in particular, was exceptionally tender, succulent, and cooked to perfection, while the salad dressings were simply exquisite.
The appetizers, notably the breaded snacks such as samsa, were delectable, and even the butter possessed a unique and delightful flavor.
Our primary motivation for visiting was to witness the live performance by the gifted singer Bek Nuriddinuly, and it proved to be the highlight of the evening. The performance featured a dombira player and a lady playing the qobiz, their music adding an unforgettable dimension to the dining experience.
Regrettably, the tea fell short of the high standards set by the rest of the meal, cooling down too rapidly.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Sandyq to anyone seeking an authentic Kazakh culinary experience in a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.

The restaurant is very authentic! Atmospheric! A decent menu! Girls, boys in national costumes! Everything was explained, prompted, and quickly served. The signature tea is beyond praise! Delicious meat, pleasant staff, what else do you need on a trip!! Kazakhstan, respect!!!

How to go to a restaurant and go to the intensive care unit.
Honestly, I'm shocked by the current situation and how did this happen with such a level of excellent service?! I'm attaching all the screenshots for accuracy.
24.04. My husband and I arrived at the restaurant. We were well received, and the program began (a screenshot of the visit with the date in the photo)
We ordered koumiss, soup, hot. When I took a sip of koumiss, I didn't like it, it was bitter and had a strange aftertaste, but it was a matter of taste. After 10 minutes, I felt sick, began to feel dizzy, severe nausea and diarrhea. I asked the waiter to bring me an antihistamine, but there was no first-aid kit. After 5 minutes, I lost consciousness, and if it hadn't been for my husband, I would have died right there in the gym. They called an ambulance only at his request. I understand that there are individual reactions, but I've never had this, even though I've drunk koumiss before.
The staff wanted to remove me from the hall in every possible way so as not to interfere with other guests, but not to help.
As a result, an ambulance, intensive care.
And the epogee was that the staff also asked for money for the full order, from my husband, while I was dying in intensive care. I am attaching a screenshot. To the order where they only took a sip of koumiss. We didn't even have time to take out the full order. I'm shocked!
They didn't even ask about my health, no support or responsibility.
Bravo to the doctors and my husband that I was still alive.

This is a new restaurant with good locations and comfortable halls on three levels. The cuisine is Kazakh, festive. These are not only meat, but also dairy products that are traditional at celebrations of the inhabitants of the Great Steppe. The staff is well prepared and helpful. We were in the city for one day, the guide recommended this restaurant.
All the dishes that were ordered are very tasty!Beshbarmak is a large portion, we could not overcome it. We highly recommend ordering tea, beautiful serving! And very tasty eggplant!

This is a chain of restaurants in Almaty, Turkestan, Shymkent and Astana. I've been everywhere except Shymkent. I liked the food in Almaty and Turkestan the most. It's also delicious in Astana, but it seems like a smaller portion. And so there is a good national restaurant and you can bring guests from abroad to show our Kazakh flavor and delicious food

Everything is fine and wonderful, but very expensive. The high cost simply does not fit into my head. There were two personal portions of besh with meat as expected and one portion without meat, plus noodle soup, plus eggplant salad, plus Caucasian slicing, a couple of teapots of tea with national sweets and voila 134,000 tenge.
The peculiarity of this place is the absence of fish and alcohol on the menu.
There is also a museum.
VIP cabins are very comfortable and cozy.

My family and I, including adult parents and children, visited the Sandyk restaurant in Astana in July. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be very negative. Immediately upon arrival at the restaurant, the alarm played for 20 minutes, which caused us all to have a headache.
The service leaves much to be desired. On a scale of 10 points, I would put 3. We constantly had to call the maintenance staff, which was extremely inconvenient. Also, the door through which the food was taken out was right next to our table, which also did not add comfort.
The food was average, I would rate it 5 out of 10. We often visit restaurants in Almaty, where the level of service and the quality of the dishes are much higher.
It seems to me that the management of the Sandyk restaurant in Astana needs to review its policy and improve both the service and the overall atmosphere of the institution.

There is no vegan menu at all. Only side dishes. It is clear that the restaurant serves traditional Kazakh cuisine, but parmesan in salads has nothing to do with it. In the modern world, in restaurants that position themselves as haute cuisine, you need to have at least a couple of dishes on the menu (!!! not side dishes!!!) for people who do not eat meat for one reason or another (including health reasons).
A huge fat minus.
Another disadvantage: they do not observe the serving of dishes. They bring it in at the end. While you are eating the salad, the second one is brought, as a result it gets cold.
Not vegan friendly.

Positive: beautifully decorated, in local traditions, pleasant music and atmosphere.
Cons: very slow waiters, obviously recently accepted, did not bring our order, begged to take the dish). The wife ordered soup and a bread basket, brought soup and waited 5 minutes for bread. I didn't like the soup. We ordered Tashkent tea and dessert - solid 4.
But the prices are very high, it's not worth it.

Good rest. The lamb is simply delicious. Soups, snacks, pastries are excellent.
There is no alcohol from the word at all.
But there are museum exhibits, in the form of saddles and carpets.

Kazakh national cuisine.
To begin with, this food has been familiar to me since childhood and I really like it.
Beshparmak is just flying ...
there are several types of Kuyrdak, with finely chopped meat and with larger cuts. Everything is excellent too.
We ordered three types of salads, eggplant salad, warm meat salad and vegetables with herbs, I do not remember the name.
I didn't try the first courses, but there were several types of soups on the menu.
Among the drinks, I will note koumiss of several types and shubat (camel milk).
Hot baursaks, samsa, tortillas.
Everything is great for my taste.
The staff is a bit dumb.

The waiting time for dishes is 20-25 minutes

Interior: it caught my eye that there were carpets everywhere, both on the floor and on the walls. I didn't notice anything else surprising. But the halls (2 floors) are very bright and spacious.
