The hotel is located in the center of the old town, which is of course very convenient. The metro is nearby. The embankment is within walking distance. The room has everything according to the standard, but if you want to have a view from the window, then you definitely are not here. You will have a view of another building, and window to window with a distance of 3 meters. Then you will have problems with water. One day we swam under absolutely cold water in the evening, the other day it was not cold. Then we were told that we need to swim until 23 o'clock, then there will be no hot water. Breakfast is there late at 9 o'clock, and if you want to have breakfast early, then you will face the displeasure of the woman who cooks, and who will tell you all this. I don't recommend it.
There is no view, the audibility of the neighbors is 100%, there were interruptions with water, it is difficult to find, it is difficult to drag a suitcase along the paving stones into the hill. There is breakfast, but for three. The owners of the hotel are very pleasant and helpful, as are the Azerbaijanis in general) but there are many more comfortable hotels in the Old City for the same money.
Very convenient location, located in the old city of Baku, however, it was difficult to find from the first time. The hotel is 2019, relatively new. The room is small, but everything you need is there. WiFi on 5+. Cleaning every day. Towels were also changed every day, the rest was given as needed. We had breakfast. They included: cheeses (different), eggs, sausages, vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, olives are different), bread, coffee, tea, honey, jams, yoghurts. If desired, Aitan can cook porridge or fried eggs. She also baked delicious pancakes. We had enough. Elnur is an administrator, always helped with advice or business. Very responsive and calm. Aitan will always support you with conversation and advice.
The linen is clean, the beds are comfortable. The plumbing was working properly. It's just a pity that the shower is separated from the toilet by a thin curtain, nothing else. But nothing can be done. In old cities, houses and apartments are always very compact. In general, a very cozy, homely, calm hotel.
Nice hotel in the old town. Clean, cozy rooms, a beautiful place for breakfast.
The room itself is small, but very clean and tidy, without foreign odors. The air conditioner is working.
Very polite owner.
Cleaning and change of towels on request, good Wi-Fi. To explore the center itself - an excellent location. A simple breakfast, but delicious.
A good family hotel in the heart of the old city of Baku. Soulful service. Handmade breakfasts)) If you are used to buffets in expensive chain hotels, you will probably be unhappy. And so, everything is delicious and plentiful.
Among the disadvantages are noisy rooms due to poor sound insulation.
But all this is redeemed by the location.
I recommend
The hotel is not bad, very polite staff, standard breakfasts. The room itself was not small, everything you need is there. There were dirty pillowcases and a bedspread (maybe just unwashed stains, but still unpleasant). The room smells strongly of sewage from the bathroom, there is no shower cabin as such and all the water draining into the drain periodically stagnates. This makes the entire toilet bowl and floor wet, respectively. I lived alone and there was such a result after taking a shower, and it turns out that there is an opportunity for 3 people to live in the room. I imagine what will happen after everyone takes turns taking water treatments. Another point is noise insulation. I lived on the second floor and every time I jerked when falling asleep from the doorbell and from when someone started talking loudly at the reception. The view of the city that was stated on the Island is, to put it mildly, not true. Those who have not been to Baku should understand that the old city is narrow streets where all the houses look out the windows. My windows overlooked the Folklore Institute. And when students and staff come there on weekdays, don't even count on sleeping longer on your vacation. If you open the window a crack, and even if you don't, there is a lot of hubbub, conversations can be heard even if people are talking in a normal tone. I didn't want to write anything bad, but I think that people who want to stay at a hotel should know about all sides and make the right decision.
A nice, small hotel, only 6 rooms, three minutes from the Icheri Sheher metro station ... but there are a number of disadvantages: lack of sound insulation as such, you can hear everything from the first floor!!!! Breakfast is prepared on site, scrambled eggs, omelets, pancakes, but!!! A lady who would cook at 7 in the morning, rattles the dishes, discusses the past evening, and the smell of food in the room is such that it's like you're already in the kitchen!! It is impossible to sleep. And so: clean, cleaned every other day, dental kit immediately in the room and not on demand, for breakfast: scrambled eggs, omelet, boiled eggs, yogurt, sausage, cheese, olives, olives, bread (there is a toaster) tea, coffee, juice, jams, cucumbers, tomatoes, tangerines, bananas ...and so every day without changing anything
Of the pros: Good location, in the heart of the old town away from the roads and within walking distance to all attractions. At night, the room is quiet, you get enough sleep. There is a lovely woman in the hotel (Aika), she is also a cook and a room cleaner, makes delicious coffee and omelet with tomatoes in the morning))) Room cleaning every day. Well, that's it! And now about the cons: the room did not match the photo, the furniture was old, the refrigerator did not work, there was no bottled water in the room, the TV did not work (they asked to fix it several times) they did just before leaving 🙈 The bathroom is terrible! Mold on the corners of the shower. There were dirty towels on arrival in the room. Several times in the evening and in the morning there was no hot water. There is no liquid soap in the soap dish, a meager and not always replenished assortment of gel and shampoo in bubbles. In the morning, the smell of food being cooked for breakfast in the room, I had to wake up at 7 in the morning and open the window. The audibility of voices from the corridor and from the reception is great 🤣😂🤣 Especially at 6 in the morning 🙈 And this is for 5K ₽ per day!!!!! Administration, you either lower the price or make repairs. We lived in a Deluxe type 🙈🙈🙈🙈 in fact, the standard for staff. The room is small, there are no chairs, the view from the window is right on the roof, the window is really on the roof)))) There's a mountain of cigarette butts under the window. We ordered a transfer to the airport, an old garbage dump arrived for 35 manats, the driver of which got lost in the streets of the old city, In short, I definitely wouldn't have stopped there for the second time. The review is purely personal, maybe someone was lucky with the number more, but definitely not us!
Excellent location, courteous staff, clean and spacious room

1. Upon check-in at Sands of time, it turned out that there was a "plumbing problem" with our room and it was impossible to check into this hotel. 2. They settled in the neighboring Utopia, saying that it was the same level 3. In fact, these are furnished rooms, broken furniture and plumbing in the bathroom (see photo), door locks that do not work. 4. The level of this "hotel" is absolutely not comparable to the declared level of The Sands of Time, it is a maximum of 2 stars. 5.They asked us to wake us up at the airport at 4 a.m., and also to leave a dry ration instead of breakfast for the road, because we had paid for a room in The sand of time with breakfast. In fact, no one woke up, of course, no breakfast was prepared, there was no one at the reception at all!. 6. It's all very similar to fraud - to sell another hotel under the guise of 4 stars and beautiful photos in general. 7. If we wanted to book a simpler hotel, we would have ordered a simpler one, but we chose a hotel in the local flavor and history, and expected to get it, not furnished rooms! be careful, I do not recommend this hotel, you may be deceived and will not be compensated for anything!

The hotel is in the center of the old town, delicious breakfasts, small rooms. A colleague complained about the room on the ground floor, where there is good audibility. Minus (and plus) - you can't get to the hotel by taxi. Stop at the metro station, from there the fastest way to the hotel

The hotel is located at the very top of the old town. Taxis are not allowed there, and it is unpleasant to carry a suitcase up the mountain. There is no elevator in the hotel, the stairs are very steep. The rooms are more or less neat, only the bathroom leaves much to be desired. Instead of a shower stall, there is a curtain, after each bath, a flood is provided. The shower splashes in different directions and falls on my head. The beds are decent, they don't creak. The doors are plywood, there is no sound insulation, but the most unpleasant thing is that all the smells from the kitchen in the room, you wake up from the stench of fried onions. The breakfasts are modest: cold sausages, an omelet floating in vegetable oil, slices of cheese under a food film, cold tea in ordinary cups, or instant coffee. The room is cleaned every two days, only in the bathroom. In general, it feels like I came to visit distant relatives. On the first day they pretend that they are glad to see you, on the second they are interested in when you will leave, and on the third they begin to send you away. You can stay for the weekend, no more.
Excellent mini-hotel in the heart of the old town of Icherisheher, near the Shirvanshahs Palace in Baku. You have never regretted that you stayed here, you immerse yourself in the oriental flavor of the old town and all the sights are within walking distance. Friendly staff, delicious breakfasts.
Pleasant staff, responsive. The hotel is in the old town, the finish is fresh, I liked everything. The only thing is to look for a long time, you won't find it without a map, it's better to call in from the main gate.
Problems with the staff: the premises smell of old rags, the TV remote control does not work - the batteries are dead. There is no lobby. The lobby employee did not offer to help with things
We would like to express our gratitude to the staff and management of the hotel, especially Aityan Khanum, for the warm welcome and positive mood. The hotel is very cozy, clean, quiet, delicious hearty breakfasts. Excellent location of the hotel. We will definitely come back here many more times. Further success.
Not very clean in the room and the view from the window on the wall of the house, the breakfasts were "poor" in February. One of the advantages is the attentive staff and not too far from the sea.
Convenient location in the old town, near the Palace of the Shirvanshahs. Cozy family hotel. Good breakfasts. Among the disadvantages: a cold floor in winter, take warm socks, in summer, I think, the most😊
