Short and to the point.
Positive aspects.
Sea.
The buildings are located directly on the seashore. There is a hull in which there are 20 steps from the exit of the hull to the entrance to the sea. A large number of rooms, ranging from "I forgot when the last repair was here - building 7 "Azure", room 7323" to "and we have 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs, etc. - building 6 "Eucalyptus". Building 6 is decent, the Comfort-Connect room is good.
The sanatorium is located close to the historical part of Sukhum.
Not far from the paid Mocha beach, 25 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by taxi. If you want to feel what a real beach in Abkhazia is, and what it means to sunbathe comfortably, go there. For 200 rubles you will get a gorgeous sunbed under a gorgeous canopy. Yes, it won't be the first line, but it doesn't matter.
Now the negative points.
If you eat primarily at sea for the sake of the sea, then you can settle in this place. If you are willing to accept that you are a little nae...Yes, but you came first of all for the sake of the sea, then I repeat, you can settle.
And so be prepared for the fact that:
- you can be accommodated in the junior suite building 7 "Azure", in which the repair stopped at the entrance door to the room. And the number will correspond to the one declared at the time of sale only on a formal basis. There will be 2 beds with a manufacturing date of 1900 of some year, on which you can do everything. For example, drying apples, laying out things. But there is no way to sleep, because when you turn over, the creaking is such that they wake up in the next room. Or a sofa, the evenness of which is inferior to the evenness of the pebbles on the beach. Or here's a bathroom, without ventilation. And if the neighbors are washing from below, then without water, because there will be no pressure.
The girls from the reception desk. You can't trust them. Generally. You can negotiate with them about anything, they can promise anything. But, since they change almost every day, all yesterday's promises disappear with the arrival of a new employee. The issue needs to be resolved here and now.
Canteen. Be ready to fight for food. Conditionally, of course, to fight. The small area of the dining room does not allow to receive everyone. At some points, trying to add food to myself reminded me of a sketch from the program "In the world of animals": Africa, the desert. The body of one small lamb is lying and hundreds of hungry hyenas are rushing around it in an attempt to tear off a piece for themselves. But as soon as you get something for yourself (if you're lucky) Also try to find a table to eat it. I can't say anything about the quality of the food because such an organization in the meal did not suit me and the maximum that I ate there was cereal with milk for breakfast. Thank God you could always eat them. And so a cafe or restaurant. The guys cannot organize a comfortable meal for vacationers from different buildings.
Here's another disadvantage, with paid meals, be ready to pay again. And you can not refuse to eat when buying a ticket.
The narrow coastline. The presence of buildings killed by time in the field of view and on the beach. The absence of a normal canopy, even in those places where deck chairs are rented. Well, you will also have to fight for a chaise longue and an umbrella from the hotel. Although we must be honest, this phenomenon is found almost everywhere. However, the moment that umbrellas and sun beds are given out in one place, the crowding of people in this place is no different from relaxing somewhere on the "Imiretinsky beach" in Sochi. What I think is unacceptable for Abkhazia, with its unimaginable beach lines.
For me, a comfortable stay in the pension "Country of the Soul" looked like this: I woke up and immediately went to the sea, breakfast "cereal", again to the sea until 11 or a walk through the historical part of Sukhum, a trip to a cafe, Mocha beach, dinner in a cafe, a walk through the historical part of Sukhum.
I've never seen a worse hotel and service in my life. I put 1 star purely for nature and the sea nearby.
The numbers, as written in the description, are new, that's right, but they are not removed from the word at all. We have been waiting for a towel for a whole week, asking every day at the reception to bring a set. We had a room for 3 people, but only 2 towels and shower accessories. I also slept on a mattress on the floor for 1 day, because they did not have time / forgot to put the bed, and if I had not gone and raised a scandal, no one would have brought this bed. In addition, the light is steadily turned off several times a day and it is unclear when it will turn on. Elevators periodically break down and get stuck. One of the advantages of Wi-Fi in the room , which also works every other time . Some buildings also have stools and a table on the balcony. We did not have it , although the trip was not cheap . The reason is that they did not have time to deliver , order , or bring . I also had to beg constantly.
Canteen. A separate topic for discussion , the food is just as bad as it can be , some kind of dog slops , everything is raw , dirty , there are not enough plates forever , huge queues , full house , and all because the food is in a chaotic order throughout the dining room without any logic , people are poisoned here every day in the truest sense of the word And I also got very poisoned on day 3 and spent the whole night at the toilet. Nobody really wipes the tables, so if you're a fan of a late breakfast, be prepared for a super dirty table.
And one more joke, this boarding house is simply not physically ready for a large number of guests, they sold more vouchers than there are rooms, so some people had to move to other hotels)
In general, I will not wish anyone to rest here in my life. Especially if you've been abroad and know what an All-inclusive should look like
Rather, everything is turned off. The food in the dining room is half-cooked and tastes disgusting.
They got sick with rotavirus on the third day, so much so that the horses almost moved.
Toilet paper and shampoos need to be begged several times, they probably don't understand at first.
The rooms are dirty, with mold on the walls.
The staff is rude and covers themselves as best they can in case of conflict situations.
I strongly advise against it if you don't want to ruin your vacation
As I understand it, last year or this year they renovated and now all the buildings belong to the same owner. Well…
I went with the desire to relax, and not stand in queues for everything. Problems with check-in began, there was a huge queue, there were not enough staff, the girls at the reception rolled their eyes, half of the people were in this queue for relocation, because some kind of program did not work at the hotel and people were moved to different rooms every other day, this problem was well avoided. We were registered by 10 a.m., we came for the bracelet only at one o'clock, I don't understand why we can't give it out right away, the girls at the reception said that "you need to bring it from the 14th floor, come up to one o'clock." Why can't I bring it in advance?
You can't even drink water, sit on benches on the street, yeah. They don't let you in for lunch on time, but standing in front of the dining room in the sun is some very stupid meal schedule, depending on which building you live in and it can't be changed. For example, I don't want to go to breakfast at 9 when it starts at 7. No one will clean up after you in the dining room, or even wipe the table (15 people sat at it before you!) and for 9 thousand a day for two, I think they are obliged. The food is very inconvenient.
I noticed that the hotel employs old people and very young people, sometimes excessively arrogant, people who believe that it is hardest for them.
The sea is muddy, a river flows nearby, the pool is small, the grill bar is portioned and 1 tiny portion in one hand, like everything else described by the advantages of this hotel on the website, and, of course, after an hour-long queue.
The elevator is sooooo slow, half of the vacation will be spent waiting for it.
I understand that free alcohol is a plus of this hotel and the whole emphasis is on it - rather a minus, there are a lot of men around 40 years old with eternal fumes. By the way, I tried 1 sip of wine - the muck was diluted or opened a day before, in general, I poured it out to the plants.
The only cool thing is the view from the window on high floors and the pond with lilies and frogs, the advantages end there.
There are MUCH BETTER places in Abkhazia, where the elevator runs, and the room is cleaned, and the staff does not talk to you as if they are doing you a favor, and the sea is cleaner and warmer. I really regretted that I came for such money,
I was looking for new positive impressions - I did not
find them, alas.
It's the worst place I've ever seen!
P.S. And Anna Asti is constantly playing in the dining room and similar tracks are very loud, and most vacationers with children.
The Country of the Soul Holiday home is a terrible place to relax. And everything is ruined by a disgusting dining room with disgusting food and service. There are not enough dishes. They wash poorly. They take out dirty and wet clothes. There are not enough forks and spoons. Plastic cups. There are not enough plates. There are fights for free tables. The food is so disgusting that we went to a paid restaurant. The unsanitary conditions are complete. Rotovirus is universal. Of the five of us, all of us have been ill. The rooms, although decent, are not cleaned. The bed is not changed. They haven't changed it in 6 days. Dirt is everywhere. They give free wine and beer in plastic cups - the swill is disgusting. The sea is dirty. The staff has no idea about the travel service at all. From the good: there is a children's pool and an adult pool, the location of the complex.
Hotel review: Country of the soul. A budget vacation, it says everything - starting with the service, food and ending with the contingent that is resting here. But in the future, perhaps everything will be fine when the owners repair everything, but the price tag will be different accordingly.
Repairs everywhere, water and light outages for a day, chicken and pasta in the dining room 24 \ 7. The room is cleaned only on request from 5 times. There is no playground or sports ground. The pool is dirty, the sea is bleach. Internet and TV in the room are barely there. This is about the Country of Soul hotel
We had a rest in the 19th. A lot has probably changed since then. The place is beautiful, a huge territory with a park. The building itself belongs to different owners. We lived on the 5th floor. From 3 to 5 there were the best rooms. Of the cons: the rooms were not cleaned at all. A river flows nearby, so the sea is not very clean.
A beautiful quiet place, 5 minutes from the embankment, the Country of the soul Hotel is located on the seashore, as in Soviet times. Different floors, different services. The room has everything you need. The prices are budget. They clean up if you ask. We were on the 12th floor twice, the owner of Givi, very friendly. In September, we stayed on the 9th floor, I do not know the name of the hostess, I spoiled the whole impression, she is a rare boor, she also has the 10th floor. For some reason, she wanted to move us to another floor a day before departure, despite our refusal, which we just did not listen to. We will look for other options.
Unfortunately, the sanatorium does not have the same appearance as it was 11 years ago. The whole sanatorium is surrounded by cafes, there is a construction site on the territory.
There are no old buildings, or they are under repair.
I didn't like the sanatorium
Who wants to plunge into the atmosphere of the Soviet Union, velcom!!!. Grandfather Lenin meets in front of the entrance, inside the same parquet, and amazingly preserved. But all this is nothing compared to the view from the windows!!!! The sea of different shades, the mountains, the old town!!! And the exit from the sanatorium directly to the shore!!! And what else is needed if you come from wet, sunless St. Petersburg to warm up and swim? You can eat in the cafe right in the building or in the adjacent dining room with a large selection of homemade food. I really liked it!
They lived in the "Land of the Soul". It was like being in the USSR. By the way, on the 9th floor, although later we moved to the third, but because we decided to stay, and other people had already booked our rooms. The hostess is a good woman, she helped and responded to requests. We went to the canteen at the Breeze to eat. For 500 rubles a day, they were very well fed. Of course, those who are used to a buffet in Turkey and red fish with caviar will not like it there. Great canteen. We are happy with the rest.
We lived on the 14th floor , as we understood , this is the only floor on which repairs were made , the rest are just a council department , but the main thing is clean for us , we are not in Abkhazia for the first time , the view from the window is gorgeous , but 3 stars for the attitude of the staff , as if we came to live for free , well , the residue in the form of a cockroach also remained
The former air defense sanatorium, now it is the Country of the Soul hotel. Each floor has its own owner from the residents of Abkhazia. There is practically no repair, everything is as it was during the existence of the sanatorium.
It's clear that the state Department, but we're not going to sit in the room, are we? The sea is nearby, a gorgeous view from the loggia, the availability of cafes for every budget. In general, Apsny, we will come 10 times!!!
A great place is the Sanatorium itself and the territory. It's guarded. Good -clean sea. The food was very good, even wine was given. You have to be more careful in the city.
The sanatorium is in a neglected state, the elevators do not work well, in a word, the Council of Ministers is inside the rooms. Plus the first line from the sea, nature and not expensive rooms.
