Nice, clean, easy to navigate train station. Working stuff are helpful. Easy to get in and get out.
Afrasiyab fast trains are comfortable and fast and cheap. I fully recommend it. It is safe.
The only worst thing is that the smell at the train (Afrasiyab) toilets. It is disqusting. Hope they will find a way to figure it out.

We visited Uzbekistan in early March 2025. We visited 3 cities Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand. So, I was most impressed with Samarkand, clean, beautiful, kind of modern, but at the same time there is so much ancient architecture that has been preserved perfectly, the people are generally friendly, I really liked it, I recommend 100%%%

A beautiful train station in Samarkand. The information in the hall is in Russian and Uzbek. The waiting room is large. There are a lot of seats. There are coffee shops, the prices are of course the same as at any train station or airport.

SAMARKAND RAILWAYS , trains travel from the station to any area, high-speed train afrasiyab, very comfortable I advise everyone to buy tickets for this train in the train there is air conditioning in the summer it is cool inside, there is a kitchen kitchen where you can eat delicious food, there are drinks and coffee kopuchino , Americano, there is a cheeseburger, here, if desired, on the train carriage where the kitchen has a panoramic view of the surroundings, you can view the whole way from the train window, I wish you all a good rest and comfort, welcome Uzbekistan!

I was there on June 27. It's a little hot in the train station, there aren't enough trash cans. For some reason, there is no information on the scoreboard about which platform the landing will be made on. Afrosiab was waiting, as were many other passengers from tourist groups. The people, unaccustomed to the lack of information about the platform, were worried. The number of the ob platform was revealed shortly before landing, and I had to rush there in a hurry, practically running. It's hardly good for a pretty train station.

Quite a modern small train station. The entrance is through a checkpoint, they look at the ticket, they didn't ask for the passport, although they can.
There are free toilets in the basement, and an underground passage to tracks 2 and 3.
The ads are broadcast in Uzbek, Russian and English. The guards also speak both Russian and English.
On boarding the train, they also only checked the tickets.
