I really liked the ancient city of Sagalassos. Not as hyped as Ephesus, but there is something special, attractive. For example, the first rain-receiving grid in the ancient world, which is in the photo.:))
You can move around the territory on footpaths. Sometimes there are steep stairs. The observation decks offer scenic views of the surrounding area.
Perfectly preserved. A large area. Beautiful views. It's sparsely populated. It is cool in the heat (altitude 1000+ meters). Definitely worth a visit. I recommend
A great and still little-known place.
We went there from Isparta by public transport. It's still an adventure, so if possible, it's better to rent a car or take a taxi.
The museum itself is not only interesting ancient ruins with artificial waterfalls, but also a beautiful view of the valley.
So if possible, be sure to visit Sagalassos! There are still few tourists, entry is relatively inexpensive.
