The hotel was booked as part of the tour, so I can't say anything about the price/quality issue. Overall, the hotel is not bad, everything you need is there, the pool is small but clean. The view of the backyard is not very good, but the one on the pool is very good.
Tomorrow is sooooo modest. Scrambled eggs, tea, sausage, bread, and fruit were all I could eat. There were some Thai pasta with spices and always some stewed vegetables, I can't say they were delicious. Fresh vegetables were given 2 times a week. I wanted more vegetables in the heat, so I bought them myself at the market.
The airport is just around the corner (2 km), but a good beach is far away. We had a rental car, so we drove every day, choosing a new beach.
If you have a car and you are not a fan of noisy resorts, then you can safely book. It's like grandma's in the village in the evenings)
Quite a nice hotel. Fairly new, spacious rooms, there are 2 sinks, it is very convenient, a huge window, comfortable mattresses and large beds, there is an elevator, a small swimming pool, quiet and lots of greenery around, large Parking. There are soft drinks, beer and a cafe at the reception. The prices are more expensive, but it is quite possible to intercept. The only thing that is far from the sea, walking is not an option for me at all, but we take a bike or a car and voila....5 minutes to the sea, 3 to the store. Moreover, the beaches at the airport are not worse and there are fewer people than Kata or Karon. In general, I advise you, I took a package tour, this hotel was the most affordable + a car for 10 days and was very pleased, much better than I would have lived somewhere on Karon.
We got here by the grace of Anex, we took a combined tour of 3 days in Phuket and 10 in Koh Samui, they brought us here for the first day of rest, selling us this guesthouse for a 4-star hotel, since we did not have the opportunity to choose a hotel in Phuket and in order to get to Koh Samui we had to agree to a hotel according to the fortuna system. Fortnoy led us and other fortune seekers into this... In general, as a one-night stand, it's probably a normal hotel, but selling and passing it off as 4 stars is pure deception, we have traveled a lot in Asia, and such hotels usually do not have any stars. 4 stars is a certain level of comfort that you can count on, even according to the fortuna system. In this case, Anex surpassed many tour operators who awarded this hotel 3 stars (which, of course, are not here either). S4 Nayang - the hotel is located near the airport, there is almost nothing around within a 1km radius, except for the houses where the locals live. The nearest place with cafes and exchangers is about 1 km away, the sea is about 2 km away, the hotel itself is an old shabby place, from a terrible dream, there is no question of any 4 stars on the hotel's website. The room has a bed, a TV, a refrigerator, a kettle (which must be placed on the floor to turn on), a bedside table. Outside, the pool looks more like a trough. It's good that we had to spend only 1 day here, I sympathize with those who bought a whole tour on the fortuna system and got here, although according to this system you will either get here or to a similar place that does not correspond to the stated 4*.
