A beautiful complex. When the restoration is completed and the work with the park is completed, I hope it will be great! I advise you to visit. It's a good museum, albeit a small one. Friendly staff. But aaa always lacks a travel service. The only cafe in the city center, but they only feed tourists from buses. But the number of tourists in their own cars is large. But there's nowhere to eat!
It's not the first time we've been here. A very interesting place, which every year, thanks to the reconstruction program, becomes more beautiful and informative. You can explore the complex yourself by visiting the museum and walking around the territory, but, of course, it is more interesting to listen to the guide. After all, they know many secrets and secrets of the history of the palace.
One of the main attractions of Ruzhana and Belarus in general. The large territory of the museum, architecture combined with beautiful nature. A fairly large collection of museum exhibits is located in several halls of two buildings. Very friendly and competent guides who tell interesting stories and will definitely answer additional questions. There is a good parking lot next to the museum.
It's great that everything is being restored in the fully restored 2 buildings of a very interesting museum. There is also an old functioning church in Rushany with a very beautiful exterior and interior decoration. Since September, it seems that organ concerts will be held there, in any case, the schedule is already there
We came with our family from St. Petersburg to visit our relatives, Belarus is beautiful as always, my mother was born in the village of Mogilevtsy in 1949, four years after the war, but by the will of fate, after graduating from secondary school, she was sent to her uncle in Kazakhstan, to Karaganda, where she stayed and I was born and I grew up in Karaganda, but at the age of 47 I ended up in St. Petersburg (in 2016). The road to the village leads through Lyskovo and Ruzhany, when you pass through the cities of Belarus there are steles with the dates of the founding of the cities, many under 1000 years old. Sapieha Castle is impressive, there is a special contrast between the restored part and the destroyed one. The western part of Belarus was under Poland until 1939 and Polish lords lived in these castles until the last, almost all were destroyed during the war, but the state restored them and now you can admire the castles of Nesvizh, Kosovsky, Mirsky, Ruzhansky. In the town of Kamenets, 50 km from Brest, the Belaya Vezha border tower has been preserved. For that time, it was just a monumental structure, like a skyscraper for a modern person. Belarus is beautiful, the people are amazing, the language is such that when they talk to you, it's like they're singing. All the best to this land and the people living on it.
How wonderful that the reconstruction of this wonderful building has begun, until it completely collapsed. This is very important! The entrance to the museum is inexpensive, and the guide is very erudite. You can walk around the territory for free. Excellent view of the surrounding area. I really want to see how this palace will look in its final form.
It's a pretty interesting place. It is impressive that part of the palace has been restored, and part has been left in a ruined state. Many people like destruction. The staff is friendly. The side part is painted in a pungent green color, a strange choice. Pastel would be more appropriate, in my opinion. I took off one star because something was missing. There is something to compare it with.
Today we visited Sapieha Castle in Ruzhany with an excursion. While in Minsk, take your time, be sure to visit this landmark. It was not completely restored. But what has been restored is amazing. The castle was built in 1784-1786. A mixture of Baroque and classical styles. The ruins of the unrepaired part will leave an indelible impression. It is easier to get from Minsk as part of an excursion group by bus.
I really liked the complex. Restoration is carried out with love, everything that can still be restored is being restored. Even in its ruined form, the building makes a strong impression. Original exhibits reflecting the corresponding era have been collected. The guides are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It will be interesting to come here again when the theater opens.
The scale of historical buildings is impressive. The atmosphere of the place is as impressive as possible. The ruins are steeped in history and very impressive.
It is a beautiful place, it is very good that this facility is being restored.
The rich history of the family of princes from the Sapieha family who lived in the palace is impressive. A small part of the palace, the entrance group, has been restored. A quiet and peaceful place, you can take a leisurely walk, visit the museum and touch the history.
It's a pity that they realized too late for restoration. Judging by historical data, there was an interesting complex. Saturated Istria. We enjoyed walking through the restored buildings. Experts are mostly copies, but you can still recreate the atmosphere of that period. We wish you to complete the restoration work and open the museum in full.
A beautiful place, like everything in Belarus! It is under restoration, some fragments have been restored! A must for dedication! Thanks to Alexander Grigoryevich for his work and care in preserving the history of his beloved republic!!!
A good place with a historical architectural complex. It can be seen that restoration work has been carried out .
It so happened that when visiting this complex, the museum had a day off. Therefore, the view was only from the outside.
It is clear that there are not enough funds to fully restore the complex.
A pleasant museum. There are quite a lot of interesting authentic exhibits with a small area of premises. I was especially struck by the wooden coat of arms, which hung on the frame without any covering for a couple of hundred years, and has been preserved!
The palace complex itself is still under restoration, but part of it has already been restored and tours are being conducted. The guide is simply in love with the palace and its history. It's a pleasure to listen. And there is something to see.
An atmospheric place, especially the part of the complex that has not undergone reconstruction. There is a museum that is definitely worth a visit for a full perception of this historical site.
I liked the museum! An interesting selection of historical materials about Ruzhany, the castle and its owners Sapieha. I hope for further expansion of the exposition and the publication of a book about the castle and the Ruzhans.
The castle complex is currently undergoing reconstruction. You can visit the museum and walk around the territory. I am sure that when all the buildings are restored, the entire infrastructure will work – it will be a wonderful place to visit. But even now it's worth a look and see.
The museum complex was impressive. Part of the palace and park ensemble has not yet been restored, and this is very interesting in contrast. The museum exposition is small, but quite decent.
Beautiful ruins. The town itself is also pleasant. Restoration work is underway at this facility, but the idea is not yet clear: either everything will be updated, or they will leave part of it as it was, like comparing two eras. As for me, it would be better to restore everything, otherwise it will fall apart to the end. There is nothing wrong with "new models". Yes, it's time and money, but it will still be better and more attractive as a result.
A wonderful place with a beautiful history. By all means book a guided tour - the sweetest and most educated people who know and love the history of their native land
Unfortunately, the palace ensemble was very badly destroyed during the Great Patriotic War and its restoration began relatively recently. The western and eastern wings, where the museum and art gallery are located, have already been restored, and the southern building of the palace, where the theater and manege were located, is being restored.
In general, it's pretty good, but I personally wanted more abandonment :) there are metal ladders and plastic protective panels... It is very difficult to take a good photo without these elements of modernity. I understand that this is protection against vandalism and safety measures...
The location will appeal to fans of abandonments and mysteries. It will also be interesting and unusual for a beautiful shooting and photo shoot .
Restoration work is underway.
Plus - a wonderful, atmospheric place.
It is very beautiful, there is something to see and where to walk.
Minus- there is simply nowhere to eat.
On weekends, most often the restaurant in the castle itself and the "cafe on the swamp" is closed for special service. Ie, if you want to have a delicious meal and sit over a cup of coffee, admire the views of the estate, the castle and the beautiful lake will not work ......
Sorry.
Of course, there is still a lot of work to be done. But, what has been done is impressive. It turns out to be a contrasting palace complex. On the right is a restored part, and on the left is a dilapidated one. There is a wonderful tourist project in the future.
I liked everything very much. Some of the buildings have not yet been touched by modern restaurateurs, with modern building materials. It's nice to see the old walls...
It's a great place. Restoration is currently underway. The museum is open, unfortunately we did not get into it, it was just lunch. The place itself is very impressive. Built by Lev Sapieha in 1602. It's a pity, it's badly destroyed.
A beautiful ensemble of the Sapieha family palace complex . The buildings are arranged in a ring ; some have been restored , there are ruins of a ruined palace in the last century; in fact, they are even more interesting and more attractive photos than the updated part.
I think I've already written it. It is mandatory to visit. In addition to the complex itself, such attractions will allow you to get acquainted not only with the major cities of Belarus, but also with towns and villages.
You can visit it once. We wanted to have lunch in Ruzhany, but we couldn't. One cafe was closed for special service, the second pizzeria is open only from 16.00. Longing and sadness. In such a place, places for a snack could be organized for tourists. The only stall with ice cream and hot dogs was working on the territory of the complex with a huge queue. Everything is for people.😆
It is very beautiful, despite the unfinished construction. The guide (the lady in the hat) She talked about everything so enthusiastically. I just didn't want the tour to end. Thank you very much! We will definitely come back after the reconstruction is completed.
It is worth visiting this place, a lot of things have been preserved and restored. The history of the castle (it looks more like an estate or a family house to me)interesting. The population of this village is only 3-4 thousand people, and how clean and well-groomed is everything…
In general, I recommend visiting 👍🏻
I love places like this, steeped in history. Atmasferno, a good museum. It is a pity, of course, that he will not fully recover! The older the sights, the more difficult it is to restore, as I understand it!
In 2015, there was an entrance arch. The buildings were destroyed. By 2024, one building has already been restored, and the interior is being finished. We hope it will be opened to the public in two years, but for now we are walking on the street. There is a small museum to visit in the building where the arch is. The rest of the buildings are under restoration.
Very well restored, interesting expansions, but unfortunately not all rooms were open for viewing. Friendly personal. There is parking. I was struck by the well-groomed territory where you can walk and enjoy nature
This assessment is primarily due to the quest that had a positive impact on everyone, the children were delighted.
In my opinion, the castle itself is inferior to the mundane and non-secular in color.
The guides try to interest the visitors, but frankly, what they have now is not enough
Majestic. It is a pity that the reconstruction takes place in one place: part is not being restored, it is being destroyed, part is painted in different incompatible shades of green
It is worth visiting the beautiful entrance gate and the ruins of the palace.
We drove by car towards Brest, even just for 10 minutes to admire - there is a hook 30 km away. We did not take the tour because we arrived at dawn, perhaps we will visit next time - the second building will be opened, which is currently under repair.
It has been restored wonderfully, but the exposition of the museum is "poor" - the palace is huge, and the tour is conducted in 5-6 halls. There are not enough pieces of furniture and household items.
Landscape design and the view around is inspiring.
An interesting place. It was built in the style of classic Russian estates. It is still under restoration, but the museum is already working. Since this is a government program, I think it will be fully restored in a couple of years
