Walking around the city, we saw a cafe with a fountain in the center of the site, the place seemed decent. But right on the approach to the fountain, the contents of someone's stomach were located, deciding that this was local street art, they settled down at a table, but alas in vain. The food is below average, the service is below average (but this is the whole country), the toilet is like at train stations (also paid). Only one thing is above average - prices!

The food in the cafe is delicious, Caesar with shrimp occupies a separate place in my heart, but there are big problems in the work of the bar. We ordered a mojito and a blue lagoon, so there was nothing but vodka in the cocktails. They were very upset about it. I don't think I would have gone there a second time.

The prices are the highest of all the places visited in Gagra.
The service is so-so, the expressions on the waiters' faces are as if they hate their job and the customers who come most of all in their lives.
The most surprising thing was that when they asked us to take the dish with us, they brought us a container and left. In all restaurants, they usually either take the dish away and put it in a container in the kitchen, or the WAITER puts the food in a container with customers.
So also this container costs 30 rubles..This is the first time we have come across such a restaurant policy.
10% tips are automatically added to the bill..Hmm, I'm sorry, but why should we pay for tea if we packed our own food, paid on top for the container and watched the dissatisfied faces of the staff all evening?

We had a rest in February. I wanted to admire the blooming mimosa.
Many hotels and guest houses were closed. In Ruslan, we were warmly welcomed and settled in a cozy room with a sea view. The presence of a balcony in the room pleased me. It is a pity that it is narrow and common- for the entire length of the hotel without partitions.
The car was left at the hotel. There is enough space.
There is a cafe in the courtyard of the hotel. In the summer, we were well fed there. The dining room is across the street.

We visited the Ruslan cafe, I have not seen such rudeness!!!
We sat for a good amount, and maybe we would have stayed on, but! We ordered fish in a batter of 600 rubles, they brought it in a batter, the waiter assured us that it was in batter, they called the cook, he said that it was in a batter, and that he did not have a zack in batter. The waiter was called, she said again that it was in batter! And then the manager came and started yelling at us. Like, we're freaking out, the waitress is crying!
"What don't you want to pay!!!?" "Stop it!" she yelled. We weren't going to leave the bill unpaid, we just wanted to get the dish that we ordered. As a result, they don't have this fish at all, and they forgot to remove it from the menu. Usually the managers sort out the situation and the guests are happy to come back, for example, a compliment from the institution. Well, then it became scary from this beast woman that she would now call a horseman and take us to the mountains)))))) not everyone here is hospitable!
In general, we were sedimented by the insolence of this screaming woman, we just paid and left.
And it was so accepted after quarantine!

The location is gorgeous. Right on the beach. We lived in a room that overlooks the sea. Falling asleep to the sound of waves is just space. The rooms themselves are old, the air conditioning did not work. Everything needs to be repaired.

The pork kebab is dry, the onion was served with a strange smell.
I do not recommend homemade wine.
The fresh pastries are delicious, I can't add anything for them.

A good hotel, by local standards. The rooms are clean. Friendly hosts and most importantly - the hotel is located on the seashore, a gorgeous view from the windows. In spring, you can often see dolphins constantly swimming in the sea, right in front of the hotel windows, 100 meters away. We have been vacationing in this place for 9 years. You can see a lot of interesting things and relax mentally at sea.
I recommend both this hotel and the country of Abkhazia itself.
