A very interesting historical atmospheric place, it's a pity they started to reconstruct it too late. So far, only one tower has been restored, in which a small exposition is presented - it looks pretty. Work continues and if the neighboring wing is restored and the lake next to the castle is restored, a beautiful ensemble will turn out. The basement and the first floor are now in conservation (all that remains), but these ruins look beautiful and majestic. Golshany itself seems to be steeped in history - many historical buildings have been preserved in the village, after visiting the castle in Golshany, I immediately wanted to reread V. Korotkevich's novel "The Black Castle of Olshansky". There is a Struve geodetic arc point near Golshany, if you have time, you can stop by to inspect it.
A beautiful, bright and warm place, from which you absolutely do not want to leave. All floors of the tower are beautifully furnished, and the ceilings there are very unusual). Beauty! At the moment (August 2024), the entire tower of 4 floors is open to the public (including the basement, which V. S. Korotkevich wrote about in the book "Chorny Zamak Alshansky"), a large area on the lower level, where there were underground rooms and a beautiful passage with arches on the ground floor.
A great example of proper conservation of an old castle! Everything is carefully preserved, transparent "roofs" are made on the ruins. I really liked the system with ladders and bridges to explore every piece of the castle. The restoration of the tower is still underway, but the interior exhibits are already on display. The appearance is amazing ;) Compared to the already reconstructed castles, this feeling of the old eras has been preserved here, it is definitely worth a visit :)
I would also like guides to appear.
