Then they moved to the ground floor with a view of the pool, this is considered the warm side-the room is more or less normal, but I also had to spend time repairing the shower. You need to wait at least 15 minutes for hot water. In general, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The next day they gave me the 4th room, the toilet flowed there, it was fixed. But all the rooms were very dirty, I wiped the table everywhere with a towel - it was black. The bathroom door felt like it was dirty with shit.. I didn't wipe it off myself, and it feels like it won't be wiped off anymore. Hurghada itself also left a bad impression - there is garbage everywhere and a lot of abandoned buildings. We rested together with my husband from September 30 to October 9, 2023. The hotel itself is of course two stars, no more. The third one was thrown purely for the staff of the bar and the cleaning service - the guys are doing well, they are trying. If you leave a tip, they generally go out of their way to help you and leave you in a good mood.
Once it was clearly a good hotel, but a very, very long time ago. The rooms are tired, the furniture is shabby, plumbing, refrigerator, air conditioning - on the verge of the fantasy of the 70s. Dirty floors and dusty curtains. But towels and bed linen are fresh, changed as needed (if not thrown on the floor, they will not change).
The food is so-so, but this is Africa, where can luxurious vegetables and fruits come from there? Meat, side dish were always available and quite edible. Sponge cakes are so amazing in general, even my mom doesn't always get to bake them. In the end, we got used to the food and it even became very tasty.
Drinks are also so-so, but worst of all - worn plastic and battered and chipped glass (rarely seen) glasses and cups, as well as dirty cutlery with dried remnants of food. They are not washed, but simply rinsed with water, not very thoroughly. Especially squeamish comrades are strongly recommended to take their dishes, or win back a set, wash it with soap in the room and carry it everywhere with them.
Alcohol is strong, surprisingly tolerable, but we still only tried it once and then preferred beer (also so-so, but you won't go blind from it 100%, and at the expense of gin and vodka, confidence is already a little lower, but my husband and I are not really fans of the strongman).
The pool is super dirty, I do not advise swimming in it, except for those days when the supervisor comes. Then the pool is cleaned of greasy film, feathers with leaves are removed from it and you can swim.
Upon check-in, we were offered a room with a sea view for $ 15. We gave 20 and got a sea view on the 5th floor (but keep in mind that this is the second line, so the view is primarily on the city, and then on the sea). Everything worked, the room turned out to be clean, and the receptionist was extremely friendly and ready to help us during the whole vacation. In general, if you communicate with people normally, and not to pump your rights and demand some special treatment for paying them three kopecks, then suddenly you will get a good room, and drinks will be brought to the table, and money will be helped to change, and a souvenir will be given as a souvenir.
However, the water pressure in the shower head was very weak, despite the fact that a powerful jet of water was beating from the tap itself. The problem was precisely in the watering can, but we did not complain, deciding that it was not such a big problem to change the room because of this, in which everything else works and a beautiful view from the balcony. As a result, I took a shower for at least half an hour at first, and it was unrealistic to wash my hair with a watering can at all, I had to wash off shampoo and conditioner under the tap, crouching in three deaths. Towards the end of the vacation, of course, I got used to it and bath procedures took less time.
On the very first evening, when trying to open the door to the room, the key simply broke in the lock, which, judging by the reviews, is a common problem in the hotel. I didn't have time to be afraid that we were left without money, all things and documents for an indefinite period, as an employee Mohammed came to the rescue, breaking into the vacationers in the next room and asking tourists to let him on to their balcony, and then from the next balcony he climbed onto ours and opened the room, picking out a broken key and opening the door from the inside. Let me remind you that the height is the 5th floor and the city street is below. The young man literally risked his life, and judging by the calm reaction and the worked-out scheme, he did it not for the first time. Did anyone leave him a dollar before us for this feat? I doubt. But from that moment on, Mohammed and I greeted each other warmly all the time, talked about football and generally became friends.
After this story, it turned out that there was only one room key left, and it was given to us. I had to ask for cleaning separately and leave the key at the reception. But we knew for sure that no one would climb the room the rest of the time, unless they climbed over the next balcony.
It's a five-minute walk to the beach. The beach and the sea are excellent, convenient entry, fish, crabs, there is a small reef. But there is not enough space, there are not always enough sun beds for everyone.
The hotel is located in the old town, if you are interested in immersing yourself in the authentic atmosphere of Hurghada itself, and not staying in a sterile hotel zone with other tourists - the hotel will suit you very well.
To summarize: if you plan to sleep at the hotel only and refuel with food as fuel before long walks, trips and excursions - well done.
If you are going to bask by the pool, eat goodies and spend time idly enjoying the infrastructure of a fashionable resort - run away from here as far as possible. With children - especially, they will definitely be bored here and they will pester you all the vacation.

Of the minuses, the sea is certainly far away. But if you don't have sore feet, that's fine. 8-10 minutes on foot. There is a gentle good entrance to the sea. They won't let you drink or eat either. We paid an additional $20 to stay until 6 pm.

The beach is between two breakwaters, about 100m long by eye.
