Perhaps the best small hotel I've ever been to. Cozy, kind, family-friendly, beautiful surroundings. The castle and the city center are a few minutes' walk away. A very tasty breakfast. The room is clean and comfortable. Many thanks to the host for an interesting tour of the rowing museum and an informative story about rowing. My wife and I liked everything.
My wife and I love autotourism. And we are carefully working out the entire route, including the selection of hotels for overnight stays. And I am pleased to say that I have a nose for good hotels. Since we were traveling to Kaliningrad, we had a double border crossing, the duration of which is unpredictable. In this case, I think, an overnight stay in Lithuania is simply necessary. And there is no better place to stay than in Trakai. My nose didn't let me down this time either. I recommend Rowing Hotel - Academia Remigum to anyone who decides to spend the night in Trakai. We spent the night here from August 5th to 6th, 2019. Cozy homely atmosphere, wonderful breakfast, picturesque view of the lake and the castle from the high shore. Very friendly hosts. It is necessary to say in particular that it is interesting here! The hotel looks like a small museum of the hostess's family. The family history is inextricably linked with rowing. And this is demonstrated by a large number of high-ranking sports awards. A walk from the hotel to Trakai Castle (which is about a kilometer away) leaves delightful memories. Such a beauty! And we had a great dinner on the way. Friends, visit Trakai. And be sure to stay at the Roving Hotel!
