(Alas. expert, what rules did the following review violate? At least one?). HE IS MORE DEAD THAN ALIVE. The Russian authorities allowed a COMPLETE ROUT of almost our entire representative office – both formal and personal - in the Czech Republic, which was previously complimentary to us. Even in the humanitarian field, far from politics, in the field of scientific and cultural cooperation. In peaceful and calm times, gradually letting down the brakes and turning into an empty formalism "for show" all the relevant work on interacting with our compatriots abroad, helping them and uniting them around centers like this. And also for active interaction with organizations interested in all Russians and sympathizing with us and specific representatives of the Czech people. Which is obvious from the example of this (which was quite good compared to its current position) Center's. In which, for the last couple of decades (and especially for the last three years), partly for well-known objective reasons, the "live" work has practically "disappeared". The RCSC itself, even on its own website, now positions itself only as a Russian House (is it really out of modesty?) and it has barely a couple of face–to-face events (a library exhibition and an excursion) in a month (and it should be in a day). And who prevents you from organizing online cultural initiatives - as many as several a day, broadcasting them from different parts of our vast country? Where are the clubs, sections, studios, interesting activities for literally all ages? Where are the possible debates and discussions – with the use of remote – Czech-Russian youth, experts and just reputable and wise people? And in the public library of the Center, you do not need to take money for a subscription (a strange order in recent years), but, on the contrary, distribute books in Russian to those who want to read them. And so on, etc., thus turning the RCSC into an object of interest and attraction for Russian- and non-Russian-speaking people. It won't take much money at all, we just need active people and enthusiasts in his leadership. And the benefits could be great. Including in the form of moral and psychological support provided in this way to many of our (and not even our) people who are lost in the current conditions. And after all, without a sharp, no matter what, activation of such work right here and now, how can we build relations between our peoples and countries in the future?
A wonderful cultural center with competent staff. Interesting events take place here, including exhibitions, meetings with interesting people and concerts.
Most of the events are designed for those who do not want to lose touch with Russia. Almost all events (including screenings of Russian films and performances by Russian artists) are free.
