We had a rest in June 2022. A wonderful hotel in the center of Mount Athos, a wonderful swimming pool, large and clean. As for the dining room, there are no questions at all, they cook perfectly, everything is dietary, delicious, you can adjust the serving volume yourself, you will never stay hungry. Complaints about the dining room come mainly from Muscovites who are used to relaxing in foreign luxury. We didn't have any reason to go to local cafes, we always felt full. The windows of the room faced the river with a view of the monastery, a gorgeous view, birds singing, beauty. It is very quiet in the evening, for this special thanks to the administration, which appreciates the personal comfort of all guests, not allowing the hotel to turn into a hangout. Everyone has a different concept of rest, so generally accepted norms of behavior must be observed. If you want to drink and dance, go to a cafe or restaurant, you will be welcome there (not for free of course))).
Of course, there are disadvantages:
- Numerous smokers on balconies and on the territory of the hotel (there is no escape from them), strangers are not obliged to inhale this stuff with you;
- There was a century-old spider web hanging in the corners of the room;
- The shower stall is designed for washing dwarfs;
- Due to a misunderstanding, the spouse left her purse in the room, during our absence, the maid brought bathrobes and unfortunately checked the contents of her wife's purse, took not much 1000 rubles, but of course it was very unpleasant.
- The beach of the hotel is visited not only by hotel guests, but also by various marginal third-party personalities.
- The behavior of some guests also leaves much to be desired, (even being far away and for a long time from the pool or beach, we continue to leave our towels on the sun beds, so to speak, "booking them" considering that the sunbed is owned by him).
And so, in general, we had a great rest. I really liked the hotel. The administration has special respect for its high professionalism.

Rodina, this hotel is located in the center of New Athos in Abkhazia. The location is good, everything is nearby, almost all the sights are within walking distance. It's a 10-minute walk to the sea, you need to pour the street then you get to the beach. The beach at the hotel is not big, there are always a lot of people. Sun beds, umbrellas are free of charge on the bracelet. The sea was not clean, but this is due to weather conditions. There were constant clouds and rain several times. We lived in the period from July 10th to 18th. The room on the ground floor is a triple junior suite, it was normal, not big, but you can live. A small balcony was also available with three chairs, but without a table, which is very strange, since it is inconvenient to sit without a table. There were free towels and bathrobes with the hotel logo in the shower. There were also shampoos for hair, there were no shower gels. There was a hairdryer, refrigerator, TV and air conditioning in the room. What we used was a refrigerator and sometimes an air conditioner. Blow-dry a couple of times. Everything was in good working order, the repair was quite fresh. As for food, we ate in the dining room, it was very close to our 2nd building. The food is monotonous, all these days we ate: pasta, buckwheat, rice... And all this in turn and so on for 8 days. Once there were potatoes and fried fish, like pollock. Vegetables were sold as a salad, more often it was cabbage and carrot salad. Cucumbers and tomatoes were rarely given, again, it's strange that summer is in the yard. The pastry was in the form of a filling pie, the dough was like cupcakes. It was all cut into pieces. But it was sometimes hard, sometimes not quite sweet. In general, it is also unsuccessful. Pork goulash and chicken leg trimmings on bones were served from meat. It was all possible to eat. But in 8 days we got so tired of it all, it's monotony that we've been going there for the last few days almost by force. More often they bought pizza, dried meat, smoked fish nearby in shops. The place is good, the hotel is more or less, but the food is not very good. The territory of the hotel is small, its whole attraction is an open-air swimming pool. But after bathing in it, the 9-year-old daughter became ill, vomiting began and the temperature was 38. In general, an intestinal infection. Well, they immediately began to solder with polysorb and enterofural. Everything passed in 2 days. In general, the conclusion is that I didn't like it there. I don't want to go there anymore. I love Abkhazia, nature is super beautiful all around, I also liked New Athos, but this particular hotel is not.

There are only disadvantages. It all started with the settlement. Travel agents are silent about the fact that construction is underway in front of the first building from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. If the windows overlook the construction site, then it is simply not possible to stay in the room. We asked to change our room, because there were enough available rooms. The hotel administrator informed that the room is booked by travel agencies. In fact, it wasn't like that. Only in the evening, after a long correspondence with the tour operator, another room was provided. The hair dryer was not working in the room, the Internet signal was very weak, the TV was not set up. Bedbugs are constantly crawling around the room. The food in the dining room is not delicious. Towels have never been changed in 8 days. Upon check-out and acceptance of the room, we were informed that we had to pay a fine of 2000 for the stained towels with which we wiped our hands. By the way, they are also issued with spots. The double bed is made of single beds. Because of this, the mattresses are constantly moving apart. The room has never been cleaned in 8 days, the floor is dirty and dusty. We lived on the 4th floor, the hot water does not warm up at all. Toilet paper is changed on request. The hotel staff is incompetent. The pool on the territory is dirty, slimy, guests do not swim in it. I do not recommend this hotel.

I had a rest at the end of May this year with the children, the hotel is located in the most picturesque place and with the most friendly staff, everything is nearby and the sea, and the monastery, and everything you need to see and visit in this wonderful place. The food was normal, there was enough, the children ate enough, bought sweets additionally for the evening. There is a swimming pool on site, it was used with pleasure, the sea was cold. If you want to visit additional excursions, then this is quite possible, there is no way without it, a manager works on the territory of the hotel, will tell you everything, advise you what is better to visit. People are responsive, friendly everywhere, prices of course bite, but how without it....In general, I want to say, it is necessary to visit this wonderful, cozy place, of course you will not see a suite, broken roads, dogs, abandoned houses, but this is nothing compared to the beauties of this region

We went with two children and were given a two-room room 👍🏻 The food in the dining room is not super, but there is a variety. There are no fruits at all , vegetables are provided . We went together, both were happy with the rest. The room is good, there is everything you need, the service is quite on the level. Towels are changed every three days, linen is changed once a week. The staff is polite. A dining room with elements of a buffet (not to be confused with a buffet, by the way, it is stated on the website). They cook delicious, although without any special frills, no one remains hungry. In general, it would be surprising if they were fed for such a small amount, as in a restaurant. Personally, I paid a little less than 79,000 for two people for 12 nights, with flights and food. And this is for July - the height of the season. If desired, you can go to a cafe in the evening, listen to live music, young people dance. Transfers or excursions can be arranged at the hotel. There are a sufficient number of sun beds and umbrellas on the hotel's own beach, there is a small cafe under the awning, you can drink a cocktail or beer, have a snack.
In general, I consider New Athos to be one of the most successful places to relax in Abkhazia. This is probably the most interesting city and they are all close to the hotel. The nature and the sea are just awesome. So if you are used to seeing the good, then the rest will be great. That's just not to think that it will be like in Turkey 5 *.

We had a rest in September 2023 in the 2nd building. If you are used to the service of Turkish hotels, then you should not wait for this here. Overall not bad
I'll start with the pros.
1) convenient location from the sea, there is a private beach, sun beds, umbrellas
2) swimming pool in the yard, well-maintained territory
3) Wi-Fi in the rooms and on the premises, but it can be more powerful
4) The location of the hotel itself is amazing, all the sights of new Athos can be reached in 10 minutes.
That's all. During the week of our stay, the bed and towels were never changed, the garbage was only taken out of the cleaning. The food leaves much to be desired, the monotonous breakfast menu usually consists of two types of cereals, fried sausages, eggs, pancakes, cottage cheese, sausage and cheese, tasteless coffee, tea. For dinner - soup, buckwheat, pasta!always! Meat or meatballs, and a bun. In general, everything is meager and monotonous, the taste is also so-so. The assortment in the bar is also very weak, but its presence in general (beer, wine, whiskey) pleases.
I also wanted to be given towels for the beach . I expected more for this money

We rested at the Rodina Hotel in New Athos in September 2023. Everything would have been fine, but the company got sick with a virus. They say it's because of the sea. They did ivs, prescribed a diet. It would have been very difficult, but the very responsive staff went to the meeting. Chef Anika (Anya) began to cook a diet meal for us for dinner. The food was varied. This helped us a lot. In addition, we would like to mention very tasty breakfasts, which we miss when we return home. We thank her and all the staff for their attentive attitude to vacationers. Despite the illness at the beginning, we were satisfied with the rest.

This is just a terrible hotel! We are resting now on July 10-16, 2024. There is practically no cleaning, in this regard, the hotel already has a pandemic of rotovirus and intestinal infections, nothing is being processed, duvet covers as if they had not been changed from previous guests, it is scary to step on the floor even in slippers, the administrators have one answer - they picked up the sea, although they did not even go to the sea and local drinks did not They used it. The food is very mediocre, there is nowhere to wash your hands in the dining room, there is no water in the room, the wifi is disgusting. Never set foot in this hotel again.

I stayed at this hotel from September 5 to 12, 2022. The location is good, the room is quite normal - small, neat. The staff is working perfectly - all issues were resolved quickly and clearly. Cleaning every day. There is a private beach with sun beds. Nutrition, in my opinion, is from the old Soviet stagnation. Why cook something incomprehensible three times a day? It is better, in my opinion, to organize good breakfasts with a toaster, good coffee and tea, a selection of cheeses, cold cuts. With good butter, delicious edible cereals, vegetables and fruits. And thank you, New Athos is an amazing place!

The hotel is located in a very beautiful location. There are many attractions nearby: a park with swans, a waterfall, a monastery.We were lucky with the room, the view is awesome on the mountains and there is a river under the balcony. Quiet, calm, beautiful. The disadvantage is that when they took the vouchers, there was a table with chairs in the photo, as a result there was no table. I really like to greet the morning with a cup of coffee in the open air. It was not very convenient. You can't smoke on the balcony, my husband is furious. The audibility is good in the room, but it didn't bother us. Since we were actively resting, we came and immediately fell asleep. The food is delicious, but as they wrote everywhere, it is monotonous and there is no fruit. Towels were changed every other day, cleaned the same way. In 9 days, the bed linen was changed 2 times. Always clean and tidy. The friendly staff of the hotel. The reviews wrote that the water in the pool is not very clean, it is not true. I think and would like to return there again next year.

We have been vacationing since May 20, 2023. The hotel is located in a good location: not far from the sea and all the local attractions. We rested in the second building. The room itself is not bad. Of the cons: very thin walls, even whispers from neighboring rooms can be heard. The same audibility in the toilet .A very small shower room, which is combined with a bathroom. To open the door from the inside, you need to go into the shower room. The towels were changed for the 4th day and then upon request. There are no beach towels. The attitude of the staff at the reception is not friendly, they are not customer-oriented. Nutrition is a separate story, in a word, none. No vegetables, no fruits, no choice, constantly meatballs with rice, meat and noodles, or over-fried pollock fish.it's all. I do not recommend this hotel.

Okay, rules, there are rules. The settlement began after 14 o'clock, they asked to settle next to friends (three couples), well, at least on one floor. The receptionist, not a very friendly lady, said "no", to the question why, the same answer. "you can't." As a result, I settled on different floors. The rooms were different:someone has a kettle, someone does not have hangers, then a short shower curtain. I had to ask for bathrobes. The kettle was promised, but never given. Linen and towels were never changed at all, the garbage was taken out every day. Vacuumed a couple of times. Nutrition is normal, we were not hungry, simple, but delicious. There was no fruit at all. The pool was probably heated, but imperceptibly. I didn't want to swim in it. In general, the Motherland is on the top three. The location is convenient, in the center, it's good. We will definitely go to Abkhazia again, but to another place.

We rested at the Rodina 1st building hotel at the end of June. Unfortunately, this hotel has many more disadvantages than advantages:
- the location of the hotel. The sea is 5-7 minutes away . The sun beds are free , but there are very few umbrellas and almost all of them are in terrible condition ( broken , leaky ) .
- there is a large abandoned building on the territory , so 50% of the rooms do not have a beautiful view from the window .
- the territory of the hotel is not large , there is a garden with beautiful flowers
- the swimming pool on the territory is clean , the sun beds and umbrellas are in good working order .
- the room was small , there were not enough hangers and elementary plates ( on vacation people often buy fruits and there is nothing to put them on ) . The air conditioner is working well, the TV was not turned on. A shower cabin for a person of medium configuration .
- the room was cleaned regularly . In 8 days , the bed linen was changed 1 time , towels 2 times , toilet paper was added every day .
- there was one chair on the balcony instead of two . It 's strange , because the room is claimed for two . After contacting the reception, a plastic chair was brought. Well, in principle , with a view of the abandoned building , I did not want to spend a lot of time on the balcony .
- the breakfasts were not bad , but monotonous . At first, the time was from 7.30 and it was convenient, but on July 3 they did it from 8.30 , thereby provoking a large queue .
- I liked the dinner better . Two side dishes , meat , soup and vegetables . It was delicious .
- there is a kiosk with excursions on the territory , the girl explains and tells everything . We took several excursions , picked them up and brought them to the hotel .

I have been staying at the hotel since September 3. In the first building number 213, they meet you, it's great, everyone smiles, you will be taken to the room, everything will be shown and explained. The TV works fine, the room is cleaned, the linen is changed. I've read a lot of negative reviews, don't believe it, everything is fine, everyone is smiling in the dining room, just excellent service, come and don't believe that it's bad here, I'll definitely come next year, but I forgot, the beach is perfectly equipped, everything is nearby. I have been traveling to Abkhazia for 23 years, I lived in the private sector, but I tried the boarding house and was not mistaken, although they say that we are Muscovites, I highly recommend it, thanks to the staff of the boarding house, I still rest until September 16

So. We rested this spring in this hotel, in the second building. An hour and a half from the airport. They put us on the 4th floor, there are no elevators, you drag the suitcase up yourself. There were 3 of us, the room was with a 2-bedroom bed and a cot. The room had a refrigerator, TV, balcony, kettle, 3 mugs, 3 sets of 2 towels, large and small. There were 2 tubes of gel and shampoo in the toilet (when they asked for more, they said they did not report, but once we asked, they could give it). The room is very cramped, the shower stands separately opposite the toilet, with a glass door, translucent. This is very inconvenient, there is nowhere to put things (hung on the door and tried not to get wet), you need to undress and dress right in the shower, the shower hose flowed a little and was rewound with tape. Dead grass bugs and a couple of live ones were found on the floor of the room. Wi-Fi caught normally on arrival, but then, apparently with new arrivals, disappeared every few minutes. TV could be watched only through an Internet browser, but due to insufficient Wi-Fi, we never managed to do
it. In the dining room, the food is bland, everything is healthy food, stewed, boiled, unsalted. In principle, you can eat enough, you come up and take as much as you want, what you want. When more vacationers began to arrive, queues for food began to form, but this is only at the beginning of the meal. There seemed to be enough tables for everyone. The outdoor dining room food cooled down very quickly, they ate everything cold, when the weather was bad, they froze sitting in the dining room. There are also a lot of animals, especially dogs, there are large and small, they constantly came to the dining room and begged for food from vacationers. It's not very nice.
The reception is located in some kind of a small room, a separate room from the street. The staff is not very friendly, no one will smile at you, rather they will listen to what happened with a dissatisfied face. While we were resting, some work was being done with the water, and it was turned off from lunch until night. Don't go to the toilet, don't wash your hands. Sit and be patient.
When we arrived, the pool in the 2nd building was just being done, we went to the 1st building to swim, the water was cool, there were almost no people, there were enough sunbeds.
From the hotel everything is nearby, to the sea 10 minutes on foot, to the waterfall as well, to the caves 15, leaving the hotel from the dining room, you can go straight to the beautiful park. Everything is close, very convenient.
The territory of the hotel is not decorated in any way, there is nothing yet. Opposite is an abandoned and residential building, past which you need to go to the 1st building.
In general, the taste and color, of course. I didn't like the hotel, I wouldn't go back.

The hotel is very well located! Everything is within walking distance. The sea, a walking park, a football field, various attractions: a waterfall, a cave, the grotto of Simon the Canonite, the New Athos
Monastery. The Anakopian Fortress is 2 km from the hotel...
The service and staff are good. Everything is at hand in the room, but the plumbing leaks, the refrigerator does not freeze, the TV almost always does not work, because there is not enough Wi-Fi power, but after 23.00 it works perfectly when all the guests are asleep.
The food is good for those who are on PP!
It is clean both on site and in the room.
2 swimming pools / one with heating, the other without.

We had a rest with my husband on 05/12/12.we liked everything, everything is clean and beautiful!Those who want to see something else, see!The staff is very nice, responsive, special thanks to the guy at the reception, a sprig of figs caught on.The food is homemade, delicious, everything was fine with us, but there was no fruit, this is the only minus.A nice pool, after the cold sea it was great to swim there.The beds in the 2nd building are soft and airy.I got a great night's sleep, it was important to me.There are many attractions nearby, we visited 3 boilers, a small, beautiful extreme!The hotel has its own beach, bar.If you want a relaxing family holiday, then you are here, cheerful noisy companies in another hotel.I recommend the hotel!!!!

Among the disadvantages is the noise insulation of the rooms, there are few sun beds near the pool, there are no vegetables for breakfast.

We had a rest in August at this hotel, of the advantages of air conditioning in the room, cleaning every day! Cons - the food is not edible at all! My advice is not to take food here, you will still eat in other places. The service depends on the mood of the administrator. The pool is nice. Dental kits are not provided in the room. Only liquid soap. And the most unpleasant thing is that check-out at 12.00, the key is simply turned off, and then waiting in the lobby on a suitcase can be extended for the full cost of the day. Although the transfer was announced in advance by the administrator himself) Well, something like that. And, another bonus - a hole in the wall😂 Abkhazia is gorgeous in itself, but the local people are absolutely not hospitable here🤔

We had a family vacation with 2 children, grandparents. The hotel corresponds to 3*, but keep in mind that these arrivals are Abkhazian. We lived in the 2nd building, the rooms are ordinary, the staff is friendly. Advantages of the 2-building: a large swimming pool, a reception where you can comfortably wait for a transfer or just have a coffee / beer, an enclosed dining room. Wi-fi works best at the reception, it is not so stable in the rooms, but in principle it is enough for a child to watch cartoons.
As far as I can tell, the format of a comfortable beach holiday is very far from direct competitors (Turkey, Egypt). This is a budget option to get to the sea, to live in +\- decent conditions. Everything else depends on you, food, entertainment, look for yourself. Food: according to the sanatorium principle. This means that there is a constant menu, and every meal will be the same. 2 types of porridge, sausage, cheese, croutons, pancakes, sausages- breakfast. Lunch: 2 types of soup, 2 types of side dish, 2 types of meat. Well, dinner is plus or minus like breakfast. Tea, coffee, milk, compote, sour cream, condensed milk... everything is provided. There's enough food for everyone, I haven't seen anyone hungry... it just gets boring quickly. There were few vegetables, the same salad of Peking cabbage with cucumber ... but as usual it is solved by the fact that they bought cucumbers tomatoes and cut themselves a salad at the table.... We went to the canteen every day.

We rested at the hotel from 08/11/2013 to 08/15.23, we gave 75 t for 4 nights. 2 adults and 2 children had to take 2 rooms, because there were no family rooms. I was expecting something more. Of the advantages, the proximity to the sea, the swimming pool on the territory, the woman who cleaned the rooms turned out to be the most friendly, offered me a wash basin) well, the kitchen is basically normal, although most of the meals were outside the hotel, perhaps that's all. I am attaching a photo. I do not recommend the hotel!

Hello! I had a rest in the 1st building from September 27 to October 5. The room itself is normal, except that you had to walk sideways from the room to the toilet, the distance from the bed to the window is no more than 30 cm. The food is very poor. Butter is not butter, but spread, milk is diluted so much that it is impossible to drink. Sour cream is very thick and has no sourness at all. The cheese is of poor quality and only 4 times in 9 days. Baking was normal for only 3 days. Pancakes were 3 times, of course you can eat, but it's poor for the money (63 tr.) that I paid. Half of the time they put a can of coffee to the Saw, the nastiest.Soups at lunch were delicious, not always. 2 times white fish, rather bones. Trash. It was unpleasant when I asked for a teaspoon in the room to make my coffee, ten times before giving it, they made a reservation and offered to bring it to dinner, and to buy disposable dishes in the room. The room, especially the toilet, smelled of sewage. also outside the window. 5 days were not cleaned, towels were not changed at all, bed linen was changed simultaneously with cleaning. I asked for it.In general, the hotel does not deserve three stars. I was looking forward to the end of my vacation. For the same money, you can fly to Turkey. There was a lot to see outside the hotel. I didn't write about the fact that they forgot about fruits here, in my opinion. There was nothing.

It was in June 2023 . I checked in at night , I didn 't check anything . In the morning it turned out that there were problems with plumbing and furniture on the balcony. I applied to the reception - everything was promptly eliminated . There were no more problems. The room is standard, there is a TV , a hairdryer (surprisingly high-quality and strong ). Good plumbing , separate bathroom (also important ) . Conditioner. Everything is fresh and working . The door opens according to the map. There is an ironing board with an iron in the lobby. The food - breakfast and dinner - is very tasty. The pools , the sea - everything is fine . The transfer from and to the airport is divine!In general , it is a wonderful hotel for Abkhazia .

Tomorrow we leave this hotel with a light heart. I will not repeat the reviews about the equipment of the rooms, the hotel itself and the food-everything is as described in other reviews. I'll write you why I gave you only three stars. During the first two days of arrival, there was no hot water, cold water also flowed barely. The electricity was turned off periodically during the day. And today we came from the beach hoping to wash up before dinner, but there is no water at all, there is not even a place to wash your hands! I asked the hotel staff where to wash my hands - I didn't get a clear answer. This is such an unsanitary situation in the hotel! The people went to dinner without washing up. The big omission here is that there is no hand basin in the dining room. The dining room is outdoors, there is a playground nearby, and there is nowhere to wash your hands! I'm not coming to this hotel anymore. It's easy to get an infection here. Above us, a woman vomited all night in the toilet (and the audibility in the rooms is good).

We had a rest in mid-July 2022 at the Rodina hotel (2nd building) the geography of the hotel location is very convenient, all the sights are within walking distance. On the first day of arrival, the receptionists greeted us kindly at the reception, although it was written in the voucher that the check-in was at 2 p.m., we were checked in immediately. The room (406) turned out to have a magnificent view of the monastery, it was clean and tidy. The rest was slightly overshadowed by rainy weather, but this did not prevent us from enjoying the enchanting beauty of the nature of these places. The food in the dining room was delicious and satisfying, with a wide variety of choices. There was a tour agency at the hotel, which we used and visited the most beautiful places in Abkhazia. We were very pleased with the choice of the hotel, we recommend it to everyone!)

Abkhazia itself is great, but the 3-star hotel does not pull. There is an ironing board on each floor, but where is the iron? - we ask, they answer us: someone took it to the room, and it wasn't for a whole week, but the receptionist doesn't care. We came with wine, we ask for a corkscrew in the bar, guess what we heard in response...Yes, someone took it to the room... It is better not to take standard rooms, my husband and I are not "three fat men", but we could not walk together as on a narrow path of 2 cars - one is standing, the other is moving, I will generally keep silent about the bathroom "kennel". The receptionists are so lazy that they never even went up to the room when there were any questions. The Internet is disgusting, so all the TV programs were constantly frozen, especially in the evening you can't watch any program, it rained for 2 days, so we stupidly slept. For the sake of justice, I want to note the work of the maids, they work like bees, but they are not local (Uzbek, Tajik). The only advantage of this hotel is the beach, where there are sun beds and umbrellas, but bring towels with you, they will not give them to you. In general, we had a good rest...

We had a rest at the Rodina hotel with children.Gorgeous nature, a beautiful park on the territory, a warm pool in the form of a violin, a variety of cuisine (there is always a choice, not just buckwheat and pasta, as they say in the reviews )the rooms are very comfortable and clean.As for Wi-Fi and TV, everything is fine, the administrator helped us set up the TV and everything showed perfectly. I would like to mention the wonderful, responsive staff, who can be approached with any question and who will help solve the issue.Regarding dogs and cats on the territory, how can the staff expel animals when vacationers constantly feed them?!In general, the result : The rest was wonderful, there are no complaints about the hotel, I recommend it to everyone.And most importantly, before writing negative reviews, maybe we will learn to be kinder, and if we have come to rest, then relax, and do not pay attention to any shortcomings. There is a magnificent clean swimming pool with sun beds on the territory. The dining room is just a stone's throw from the residence building. Mountain view is a separate plus to the morning view. The sea is a 10-minute walk away. There is a private beach on the shore with sun beds (together with the Waterfall hotel). The food is delicious! Very! There are 2 types of hot and second courses to choose from, salads, pastries, tea, coffee, cocoa, sauces. At the entrance to the hotel there are ATMs, a bar with soft drinks, coffee, etc.

The building itself is new, the rooms are clean, not far from the sea. All the sights are nearby.
