It's a lovely hotel.
The location, cleanliness, service and great attention to all the little things are just great---but it's Rixos!!!
The food is great, for every taste and for every gourmet.
The rooms are also suitable for every taste, daily cleaning.
Now it's a minus - he's the only one in the lobby of the hotel who periodically smells of sewage .
We stayed at this hotel 2 times in February, as we were traveling there and back. He caused us very mixed feelings and emotions. Firstly, it is located quite far from the center. It is unlikely to walk out and reach the center, as you will have to climb the mountain, and also pass through the slums that are located just outside its territory. The area there is not favorable, as we were also told, it became famous for drug trafficking. So we only took a taxi. To get to Taksim, a taxi will cost 300 lira one way (about 700 rubles), to Sultanahmet it is several times more expensive! Secondly, it is not unimportant that the hotel borders the cemetery!!! It is located just outside his fence. If you take a room without a view of the Golden Horn, be prepared for the most beautiful view of cemetery monuments from your windows. The sight on vacation is something else))). Oh, the hotel itself stands in the cemetery of kings, it was built on an old shipyard. And, the mention of this is ominous, old, rusty structures in the form of cranes and incomprehensible structures that spoil the whole look!!! We took both times with partial sea views, the first time we got a room completely on the side of the hotel, and the second time it was better, we saw more of the bay, but mostly we still admired the terrible crane and the old peeling structures. As for the room itself, there are no complaints about it. It is spacious, clean, large, warm, and the toilet has underfloor heating. You can set the air conditioner to any temperature. It warms up very well. It was even hot. Everything is done according to a convenient system - "smart home". There is a kettle, coffee maker, tea and coffee in the room. All Etro toiletries. It's a pretty comfortable bed, pillows and high-quality bed linen and towels. The only thing is that there is not enough lighting in the room in the evening, it is also made of dark-colored material. We took breakfast. They're flawless. They are worth the money. Freshly squeezed juices: orange, grapefruit, orange-carrot, pomegranate. Even on some days there was Italian sparkling water in San beniditto bottles. Lots of fruits: strawberries, kiwis, pineapple, melon, grapefruits, grapes, oranges... lots of different delicious pastries, a separate vegetarian table. Lots of nuts and dried fruits. Slicing, Cheeses, meat, even tongue, fish, rolls. Homemade yoghurts, muesli. In general, I can't list everything. For 5+. The service in the restaurant is very good. The waiters serve quickly and resolve all issues. Just be careful. The hotel staff is not clean. The only time I was in a hurry and left a miniature of very expensive Kilian perfumes on the table in the room before leaving for the city, I didn't find them anymore upon arrival (apparently the staff thought they needed it more. It is unpleasant that in a hotel of this level you cannot leave things in your own room. The only thing I would like to mention is the receptionist, Alaya, who took care of us both times of our stay at the hotel. She was a very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable specialist who tried to solve all the issues that arose as far as possible. And she even sent us a schedule of free excursions that the hotel organizes for its guests on certain days. Thanks to her, we were given delicious tea both times upon arrival, as a compliment from the hotel. The others won't run away. Another negative situation that surprised us at this hotel. We had an early check-out, and we paid for two breakfasts. Usually in other hotels of a similar level, we were compensated by bringing breakfast to the room, or setting a small table for those leaving the hotel lobby. Here, at the reception, the hotel employee Artyom, to whom we addressed this question, was deeply surprised and said that you also pay money and we will arrange breakfast for you in the room, and if you do not want, then you will charge 15 euros each and we will arrange a lunch box for you. If Alaya hadn't intervened, saying that this service had supposedly been free for a long time. But they didn't discuss this topic among themselves in Russian, they switched to Turkish. There was a sense of some kind of internal behind-the-scenes games. Who will get breakfast in the box for free, with a paid breakfast!!! And who doesn't. Artem, the employee caused unpleasant feelings and turned out to be very incompetent in his question!!! P.S. fortunately, we did not pay 15 euros for this box. Since, in fact, there turned out to be a very dry sandwich, it is not clear with what kind of filling, not even smeared, a small bottle of artificial juice, a green apple and two dried old croissants. It's just a shame for Rixos with this level of hotel and an abundance of food for breakfast!!! We didn't even eat these breakfasts, thanks to the hotel from the taxi driver who drove us at the airport-he got everything in the end!!! When I asked if we could at least replace the rolls with yogurt, we don't eat them at all, they told us no, be content with what else you've been given!!! And also for our paid money!!!! Shame on the Rixos chain!!!!!!
