A European-style hotel (which is great by local standards). The buffet is extensive, but still a little thin compared to what you can order directly from local restaurants for comparable money. The two main problems in the rooms are cold at night (heating in the form of a heat gun, which does not always work in principle) and quite noisy (the doors, again according to local custom, are not sealed, with a gap of a couple of centimeters from the bottom). In rooms like 201-205, which overlook the balcony above the restaurant, this is simply unbearable. It feels like you're sleeping, and 50 people are eating and talking in the same room with you :(
The hotel is wonderful. Although there are three stars, you can safely give all four: the linen is snow-white, the bed and pillows are very comfortable, the rooms are clean. True, the buffet is not very rich, but everything is quite edible.
A chic hotel with a buffet, although it has 3 stars, but it pulls in all 5. But this is probably because of the location, it is located almost in the center of the island on a hill, so there is no ocean there. But the city in which it is located is very beautiful, the locals call it "old England", with appropriate architecture. We were there when we took an excursion called the Pearl of Sri Lanka. If you are going to relax on this wonderful island, be sure to take this tour, it is two days long and during this time you will be shown a lot of interesting things.
