Katon-Karagai National Park is an incredible place full of beauty and tranquility. I was amazed by the purity of the air, majestic mountains and untouched nature. Here you can see rare animals, admire crystal clear rivers and lakes, and enjoy the endless forests. The park is ideal for both active travelers and those who just want to retire into the silence of nature.
I especially liked hiking along the trails that lead to stunning views of the Altai Mountains. It is also possible to have a picnic in specially designated areas, which is very convenient.
Katon Karagai is a real treasure of Kazakhstan, which is worth a visit to anyone who loves nature and wants to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I recommend it 100%!

But... what is the forest, what are the stops, what are the roads, everything is polluted with horses and cattle. It's such an impression that the park was created for them, just like in India, holy animals. And people need permission to visit the park.

Great views of the mountains, even the Beluga Whale was visible! But the road from Berel village to the reserve leaves much to be desired! 15km, we drove for almost an hour and a half! If it wasn't for the SUV, we would have been stuck on the rise (after the rain)! Also, the lack of service on the road, as well as gas stations (except in Katon-Karagai itself, one worked and there was a huge queue of cars, and in the village of Uryl AI-92, at a price of 230 tenge / l) does not contribute to the development of tourism, it seems to me! But the nature itself, the mountain air of the highlands, all this is of course unforgettable! I advise everyone to visit this reserve at least once!

The nature is excellent, the service is weak, the roads from Astana to the family are still excellent, in the Pavlodar region it is already spoiling in places due to poor-quality laying of the roadway. In general, the entire road is paved almost to the Rakhmanov keys, but 14km. the road to the sanatorium is terrible. The Rakhmanovskie Klyuchi sanatorium is very cool, it's a pity that it doesn't work. It is clear that the owner was real. Everything is fine, it is done, I am amazed at how the materials and equipment for the construction of buildings and structures were brought up. The nature there is just great. The owner who did all this has a huge respect.
