Sodam is a very small place but a great surprise! It has the most authentic korean food i have found in Uzbekistan. The food has powerful flavor and the price is low. My favorite is the fried beef and fried dumplings. If you have ever been to Korea and miss the food this is the place you want to go.

Sodam Restaurant is a real discovery for everyone who loves or is just getting to know South Korean cuisine! The atmosphere is cozy and modern, the interior is designed in a minimalist style, while warm and inviting. The menu is pleasantly diverse: here you can try both classic dishes such as kimchi, bibimbab and samgepsal, as well as lesser-known but very authentic flavors. Everything is prepared very tasty, while maintaining the traditional Korean balance of flavors — spicy, salty and spicy. The staff is polite and attentive, always ready to help with the selection and tell you about the composition of the dishes. I especially liked the freshness of the ingredients and the serving — everything is neat, bright and appetizing. A great place to have dinner with friends, as well as for a cozy evening with family. A real gastronomic trip to Korea! I will definitely come back again and recommend it to all lovers of Asian cuisine.

I used to go to this restaurant a lot. Why? Because it was very close to my office. But the last time I went there with a guest from Korea, an extremely unpleasant situation occurred. He tasted one spoonful of kimchichige, put the spoon on the table and said, "Is this even food? Was that a man cooking?" I felt terribly ashamed, and we had to go to another restaurant. The truth is, the owner of this restaurant doesn't know anything about food. She just hires an Uzbek chef, pays him, and he cooks. Her personality is also very unpleasant. She often communicates with the hostess of the Mashil restaurant — and, according to many Koreans, these two women are called “crazy.” They have no respect for other people — they think only of themselves, behave extremely selfishly and strangely. If the food was at least delicious, I could close my eyes to the character of the owner. But unfortunately, this is one of the most disgusting Korean restaurants I've ever seen. The food is just terrible — at the garbage level.

The food in this place is really similar to the food in Seoul. The portions are quite large and hearty, soups, as expected, are served in hot cast-iron plates. The interior may seem specific, but it is also very similar to a standard Korean cafe/restaurant. The service is good, but you do not need to wait for attention to be paid to you - you just need to call the waiter and your order will be accepted. If you are more used to classic European restaurants, then this place is probably not for you. But if you are interested in a classic Korean restaurant, with its specific flavor and menu, then this place is definitely one of the best in Tashkent.
