The Republican Children's Library in Tashkent is a true gem for young readers. With its vast collection of books, both in Uzbek and international languages, it offers a world of knowledge and adventure to children.
The library's bright and welcoming atmosphere makes it a perfect place for young minds to explore and learn. The staff are friendly and always willing to help, making each visit a delightful experience.
It's not just a library, but a vibrant community hub for fostering a love of reading and learning in children.
Spent some time there. Architecture is very different than usual libraries. Mixed atmosphere of education and history. Highly recommend to go and read books there
A wonderful place and educational space! Stylish, modern interior, there are places where you can retire with a book. Chat with friends over a cup of tea (there is a samovar). Interesting lectures and events are held.
This library is a unique place in Tashkent, the building itself is very beautiful, bright, there is even a changing room. I would like to expand the building itself more or make an extension, there is not enough space.
E-reader tickets, there are books for both children and adults in English.
The work schedule is daily until 21, attentive and polite librarians, for this special thanks to the staff and management of the library.
Great place! We really love this library. The location is very convenient, right in the city center. It is very beautiful near the building, flowers grow and there are benches, urns everywhere. The library building itself is also very beautiful, apparently ancient. They enroll in the library for free, they are allowed to take home up to three books. There are several departments inside, a huge selection of children's books, books in Uzbek
There are books in other languages, there is a computer room, a storage room, a reading room. It is always clean, neat, there are coolers. There are many places to sit with a book, you can even go out into the courtyard. You can also buy coffee or drinks on site. For me, the only disadvantage is a small number of adult books (novels, fiction, fiction) in Russian, you can find anything for a child, but I couldn't find many books for myself.
The library is very comfortable for reading books, it smells nice, everything is clean, but there is not a big minus: sometimes books are not at all on the shelf on which they should stand. But this disadvantage is easily solved because you can ask the librarian where the book you need is. The staff is very responsive and kind, in the library itself there is a feeling that it is really built with a soul, because there is literally everything for comfortable reading: do you need to recharge your phone? There are sockets on each turn, do you need to drink? Are there vending machines with water, is it convenient to read outside? So much for the special area where there are benches and tables. If you like to read, be sure to visit this library.
An amazing concept. I want to be indoors. Wonderful zoning of the premises. But the library itself is very poorly structured. Rubin stands next to Plato's "state". I had a specific request for a certain genre. I was sent to a wall with fiction, where all genres and eras are mixed up. There are encyclopedias for adults on the shelf with children's English literature. And the staff is not very responsive.
Perhaps the best place for family leisure with children in Tashkent 😍 The selection of books is admirable (especially in English) and is constantly being updated! On weekends, all kinds of cultural and educational events are held - master classes, lectures, concerts, etc.
On the 5th scale, the score is 5+++♥️
The library is great!
The atmosphere is so good, it's nice to be there, everything is clean, fresh, and what a fragrance it is filled with, mmm..There is a cafeteria, which is not a little important for high school students who are preparing for some subjects there.
There are books for the little ones, and in English. There were books for adults too😊
A very cool library on C1. There are a lot of different literature, classics, art, encyclopedias and even collections of comics. I often go there with friends, there are books for absolutely any reader. All books are in good condition, available in 3 languages. You can take books with you for 10 days and everything is absolutely free, I advise and recommend this library to everyone.
There are always a lot of people in the library, and that says something!
Free entry, direct access to books. A huge selection of children's literature, new and beautiful books. In addition, there is a lot of adult literature, both fiction and non-fiction.
There is a patio, a cooler, a snack machine.
Employees will help you find the right book and give it to you.
You can take 3 books in your hands for 10 days.
After the reconstruction, this place has come to life and attracts a huge number of children and adults, which is good news. The nieces often take various books there. Previously, it was possible to play the piano there, now they did it only by notes and with a teacher. In principle, the administration can be understood, apparently people dabbled more than they tried to do on their own.
My favorite place! There are many books, diverse, beautiful and interesting, in all known languages. A cozy backyard where you can read, chat, hold debates and club meetings. Minus one, there are a lot of people 😁
The library is wonderful! And it's beautiful, and master classes, and books in different languages! Wow!
Of the cons: 1. Only 3 books for 10 days, you can extend it, but you need to come in person.
2. For some reason they spray perfume..
3. Library staff are very arrogant and not friendly :((
Thank you, I hope you will take into account the wishes.
Have a good development!
One of the most beautiful places in Tashkent, with several halls, a coworking area, and a courtyard. There is a huge selection of books, there is an assembly hall where events are held. And everything is completely free. A wonderful restoration project.
It's a great place. A historic building with elegant architecture and thoughtful design.
A unique place that is difficult to meet. It surprised me very much in a good way.
Everything is very interestingly thought out,
Various thematic events for children are held periodically.
The range of books is not small, there are many modern books in different languages for different ages. Different spaces where everyone can find a place in silence to read a book or work out on the computer.
Admission is free. Without registration.
The toilets are clean.
The place is very cool. But I didn't like that there were too many people there, it looks very modern. As an introvert, I'm not comfortable there. Perhaps there is a time in the week or in the day when it is deserted. Very nice places to sit are scattered throughout the rooms.
A wonderful place! A large number of interesting new modern books, cozy reading corners, a wonderful courtyard, friendly staff. Events, lectures, concerts, and master classes are constantly held, including for the youngest. There are books that are given home. It is a pity that there is no electronic catalog yet, it is difficult to find any particular book.
The library is beautiful and modern, and I put a unit to the one who came up with the idea of installing monitors with Internet access in the reading room for kids. There are 3-4 children near each monitor (and there are 4 of them). I understand them perfectly, it's more interesting to play than to read or look at pictures in books, I saw a couple of times how children started fights for a place behind the monitor. At first, the whole family came to the library, chose books, read, it was a great pastime, but lately, the youngest child had to be constantly "dragged away" from the monitor. Now we only come to exchange books. The administration does not react in any way.
There is a very large library and a variety of books pleases, there is even a recording studio and mini lessons for learning to play the piano, a very technological library.
