It's a good hotel, the breakfasts are delicious and quite varied. The rooms are not bad, there is a small gym with everything you need and a spa
I liked the fan coil unit - it was noisy, it burned out the air too much, and the window couldn't be opened to ventilate, because according to the administrator, it could explode.
A pillow menu was also announced, the opportunity to choose orthopedic, in fact, when contacting the reception, no choice was given, they said that there were only pillows like in the room.

A solid 4 for a 4 star hotel.
Pulls out an estimate of the location, the restaurant on the ground floor, delicious and varied breakfasts, as well as hotel management, maintenance and cleaning.
The room itself (I had a junior suite) is not bad, blackout curtains, there is quite enough free space, but a very small TV without a smart TV, protruding wires from under it, greatly spoils the view and impression. The mattress is not very comfortable and high, the pillows are medium. In the shower, setting the water is a lottery, it is difficult to set a constant temperature. All appliances, shampoos, kits are available, but a simple moisturizer is missing.
Will I come back here? - perhaps, yes, there are significantly more advantages than disadvantages. 8 out of 10 is deserved, although it would be possible to lower the score for the price tag, but this is almost the center :))

The only negative is that in winter it's cold in the rooms, I stayed on the 2nd floor and on the 4th floor, they are warmer on the 4th floor, I turned on the air conditioner at all 30 degrees to warm up especially on the 2nd floor (213 and 203 rooms, they are very cold). The rest are large rooms and bathrooms.nodes with showers. There are all necessary accessories for care and personal hygiene. The rooms have at least two or two double beds with 2 bottles of water each. The interior is basically modern and the furniture is modern. Good breakfasts. The price tags for food in a restaurant are also acceptable for such a hotel. There seemed to be a hammam, a gym, and a swimming pool, but there was no desire or time to go. I was there in December 2024, and they were also carrying some furniture, but it didn't bother me. In general, it is a good option for both a business traveler and just a tourist to temporarily settle down.

A decent hotel in its segment. It was my first time there, and my son stays there all the time. The location is super, the park of 28 Panfilov heroes. Reception with immediate response and resolution of issues. The room service is excellent, the dishes in the restaurant are very tasty, the room is clean, large, cozy, and the renovation is good. I can say with confidence that when visiting Almaty, I will always stay at this hotel now.

Upon arrival in Almaty, we stayed in this hotel for the first two days, paying 86,000 tenge for the room.

I lived in this hotel for a week and had only good memories and impressions! The hotel is conveniently located - and there is a place to walk and eat. The staff is polite and competent, the sound insulation is excellent, the equipment is all in good condition, the breakfasts are something... and tasty, and varied and a lot))) And dinner at the restaurant is beyond praise! Special respect for the spa area! It was in December and after a cool day. it was just gorgeous to bask in the hammam and plunge into the pool! If you want to come to Almaty, I will stay at this hotel!

I've been coming to this hotel for 3 years now. Excellent price/quality ratio. The rooms have everything you need, and the kitchen is open all night, so you definitely won't stay hungry. I didn't live there myself, I'm writing from the words of a colleague. We stayed in different hotels during this business trip. Last time I was at the Kazakhstan Hotel. The cost of accommodation for the same period and a room of the same class is identical +/-1%
Renion was unpleasantly surprised.
The choice took into account the factor of the hotel's level, cost, location, and services. With all the factors, I assumed that Renion, like the hotel itself, would be clearly cooler. Because "Kazakhstan" takes money for the name, the surroundings, the location… That's what I thought.
And, it turned out that they just took money for quality and convenience.
The Renion hotel is normal if it cost 1.5 times cheaper.
Why? Because this is the usual standard furniture, the service should be good, like any hotel of this price. The set of services is identical to Kazakhstan.
But, there is no view of the city, there is no view of the courtyard, there is no unusual view of the building, like Kazakhstan, and most importantly, there is no air conditioning in the room!!! Air conditioning ... in Almaty, where there is air conditioning even in outdoor tents with vegetables.

Great hotel in the city center. Within walking distance of shopping centers, market, Arbat, restaurants.
The staff is very friendly and ready to help and answer all questions. Clean, modern, although it is clear that the repair was a long time ago. A good mattress, a large set of hygiene items, a kettle, mugs and tea are also available. However, there was an inscription "minibar" on the refrigerator, and it was empty. Strange.
From the comments: the breakfast is average, the hot dishes are not very hot, the rolls are tasteless, the jams are not signed, the dirty dishes are not cleaned as they appear on the table, but when the guest has already left. It's also strange and spoils the impression.
Another infuriating detail: the tubes in the shower are sealed with foil, it is simply unrealistic to open them with wet hands.
The hammam is impossibly hot, and the next steam room is cold. Again, it's strange why it can't be adjusted.
But in general, I recommend the hotel.

Excellent hotel, excellent staff, room, view from the windows (mountain view!), breakfast. Not all family members reached the spa, but according to reviews it is excellent - a hammam, a sauna, a small pool.
I enjoyed it immensely, especially from the hotel staff - all with a sincere smile and willingness to help.

Cleanliness, comfort, customer care, sleep quality, cleanliness, delicious breakfasts and a spa with sauna, hammam and a small pool. The hotel is located in the historical center, near the Arbat, the Green Market and the park with the Ascension Cathedral.
Attentive and caring staff . The rooms are a little tired, but everything you need is there. The bed is comfortable, the mattress is of the correct rigidity, clean linen. There is a small swimming pool, steam room and hammam.
Of the minuses - the choice at breakfast is not bad, but everything is somehow tasteless. Containers with jam and something sweet are not signed. What is poured there is unclear. The waiters do not clean dirty dishes from the tables. They don't have such a file. Even when they pass by empty-handed. If you are sitting at a small table and dirty plates get in the way, you have to move them to neighboring tables yourself, otherwise it is unrealistic to eat.
But there are undoubtedly more advantages, the convenient location of the hotel and the attitude towards guests more than compensate for these minor flaws.

A complete scoop for the prices of a good hotel. The shower operates in two modes: ice and boiling water with a difference of 1 millimeter in the rotation of the faucet handle. The windows do not open for ventilation, only sideways, the cards were demagnetized (or the lock was buggy) almost every day, and had to be reprogrammed. The breakfast was quite mediocre, we went down once, the rest of the time we went to cafes in the vicinity. There is no minibar. Just an empty refrigerator in the room.
One of the advantages is the location, friendly and helpful staff, and fairly large rooms.
A small, neat spa. It's modest, but it's nice to have a pool and a steam room.
There may be an option, but not at a room rate of ₽13,000 per day. This is the price of a decent, modern hotel, of which there are many nearby.
