A very decent museum. First of all, the architecture is striking: a majestic, very interesting building that you want to photograph from all angles. Quite a rich collection of paintings. Of course, famous paintings by Rembrandt and Vermeer are of interest. Wonderful collections of decorative art objects. Of course, it is necessary to visit when getting acquainted with the art of the Netherlands.
The Royal Museum of Amsterdam fully justifies its name. The majestic building is no less interesting inside, founded in 1800. It presents masterpieces from Rembrandt, Vermeer. There are many interesting collections of representatives of other fields-decorative art, archeology, etc.
I expected more. The audio guide when choosing the tour of the Main Masterpieces offers 20 exhibits when choosing Russian and 24 when choosing English. You can use your smartphone to listen, there is free wi-fi. Must-visit
I am delighted with the museum. I recommend everyone to visit it. If I'm still in Amsterdam, I'll definitely go there again. Keep in mind, if you want to explore all the floors and halls in one day, this is not realistic. Think at once what you are interested in and write yourself a route. By the way, there is an autogid in Russian)))
The Night Watch-that's what we were going for. A rare hanging, which greatly simplifies the perception of those few masterpieces that are presented in the permanent exhibition.
Well, what can I say, if you are lucky enough to visit it, don't be like me, and buy a green vase with pimples in a souvenir shop. I still regret that I didn't take it.
The museum's exposition is beyond praise. Rembrandt is a pure genius💔
Of course, the museum cannot boast such an abundance of famous works as the Hermitage, for example, but it is interesting in its own way. The exposition is arranged in such a way that the paintings in the hall echo the furniture or dishes or other little things of the same era that are depicted in the painting. This gives the effect of immersion, you begin to literally feel that time. Be careful, many of Rembrandt's famous works may be on display at the same museum at this time, but in a separate room and for an additional fee. I realized this at the end of a 4-hour walk through the museum, without seeing the painting "The Jewish Bride", which I really wanted to see. I asked the attendant and he explained. But I didn't have the strength to go there either.
A very interesting museum for all tastes and artistic interests. You can make a lot of personal discoveries on seemingly long-trodden topics, and use the option on the museum's website to compile a personal collection.
A good museum, for those who want to join the different eras of Dutch art, it is necessary to visit, the entrance ticket costs around 20 euros, it is better to download the audio guide to your phone in advance
I was shocked by Rembrandt's work "Night Watch". There are so many mysteries, subtleties and nuances in it! Also, all the other exhibits from different eras were amazing.
A rich collection, a decent audience. It is clear that people really came out of interest in art. There are no unthinkable crowds when you can't approach a painting, like in the Louvre or the Hermitage. It is very comfortable and you can wander for hours, getting real pleasure.
I was without an audio guide, it's still very interesting. In each hall there are stands where you can take booklets and read the most important things that can be seen in the hall. The booklets are in English.
A huge museum, it is possible to get around all the expositions in 4-5 hours. The route is a bit confusing, but the maps are given out for free. There are many beautiful exhibits. I advise you to visit))
Rembrandt is revered very much - a national treasure. You need to take an audio guide, otherwise you won't learn anything. However, I have never met a more stupid audio guide.

In addition to the main exhibition, I advise you to go to the scientific library on the second floor. A fascinating place.

As always, everything is on the level, the organization, the smiling staff, and of course the most important thing is the paintings.
