A GOOD HOTEL, EXCELLENT FOR 4* TUNIS
Hello everyone. We rested at the end of August-beginning of September in a couple of 2021. When we arrived, we thought we would be in time for dinner, but the transfer took a long time to fill up, as a result we arrived at about 21 o'clock. The driver flatly refused to drive up to the hotel, the roads to it are narrow, all crowded with cars -they walked. There was a guy at the reception, Vasily (speaks Russian). We asked for dinner or lunch boxes, they refused us. Although it was paid for the day and the waiter was carrying food to someone. Meeting guests for 2 points. Room selection: we paid an additional $ 20 for a room with a view of the pool and the sea. I have been to Tunisia 3 times and always paid extra, only in the pandemic the prices for this were bought up))) Room: great, very comfortable beds, it was huge. Room cleaning every day, not really. There was hair and so on, even the left dinars did not save the situation. Food: I rate it at 4, there is rice porridge for breakfast, pancakes are baked, omelets, croissants of various types. Everything is delicious, I have never had stomach problems))) Lunch: salads of all kinds, made of meat: duck, beef, chicken, fish (not always-I did not like it), sea products were not given. Dinner: almost the same as lunch, the mashed soup was very tasty. From sweets: mostly sponge cakes. Sometimes there were imported ones-I liked them. Fruits: peaches are super! Arbus, melon. Local alcohol in the bar: beer (not diluted, wine, all of good quality.
The disadvantage of this hotel: people wrote in reviews, but I didn't think it would annoy me so much: this is the lack of tea and coffee freely available at the bar or in the lobby of the hotel. Yes! There is no tea in principle. You go to the bar, it's easier for you to get alcohol than tea. Hot water can also be taken only at the bar, for example, to wash down a pill and IT IS VERY INCONVENIENT!!!! Tea and coffee are freely available only at the bar. And at breakfast.
The location of the hotel is 5!!! You can walk to the Medina in 10 minutes, went to the fortress yourself, took the metro (the station is 15 minutes on foot, beyond the medina) to Sousse and Mahdia. Beach and sea: as they wrote, this is still the center of Monastir, the beach is small, when the season is not in a pandemic, there probably won't be enough sunbeds. But when the hotel was about 1/5 full (at the beginning of September it was) at the end of August there were more people, sun beds on the beach and by the pool were always free. There were jellyfish in the sea, they were snapping, they were unlucky. By the way, they were both in Sousse and on the city beach of Monstyra. Season... Probably they were in Mahdia too ... Algae on the beach: the beach is clean, every day a security guard cleaned everything by hand (and sometimes there were huge piles of algae every day) a very friendly and helpful uncle. There was garbage in the sea, plastic, they throw plastic into the sea, there is terrible filth in Mahdia (where the market is). Packages, garbage, everything is carried by the wind. It is clear that I could not take it calmly, but this is Tunisia. Pool: we had a great swim in the pool, sometimes at 10 a.m. we were alone there. It is small and clean. The depth is also small, a maximum of 190 cm. In general, for the money paid for the 2-week tour, we were satisfied with the hotel, food, and service!!! Good luck to everyone
Great hotel. It's very cool that you can go out and walk to the market and along the embankment. There are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby in the harbor.
The only disadvantage in the hotel is the food.
We went in June 2021. Pool, beach, restaurant, bar, everything is there. The only disadvantage was that at the time of our stay the beach was not cleared, so we had to drill our way through the algae.
Well, a small point for future visitors: if it is red, it does not mean that it is a tomato (red soup, pasta in red sauce, etc.) It is most likely paprika, there is a lot of it and it is very spicy.
There is also a small point: there are jellyfish in the sea, but they will not touch you if you do not touch them. Treat the inhabitants of the sea with respect, after all, it was you who entered their house, not they who came to you
I am attaching several photos from the department and photos of jellyfish (they are very cute, however, if you touch them correctly, they are also very pleasant to the touch)
Everything is fine, for a foursome. Responsive staff. Of the cons: 1. A small, dirty beach by the sea. 2. A small child has nothing to feed at lunch and dinner. Spicy food. I only ate maroons.)))
We had a rest at the end of August 2018.A cozy hotel, varied food (very tasty cakes, there were queues - come later - everything is brought again, dirty tablecloths - so you guys are piggybacking, everything is snow-white from the opening, the staff changes everything), excellent animation for both children and adults (Terry is super), no storm - clean the sea, there were small jellyfish, characteristic of this time, the algae were removed. The hotel is in the center, all shops, supermarkets, cafes, attractions are within walking distance. One of the disadvantages is the cleaning of the room, the dust was removed from the furniture themselves, although towels were changed every day.
We arrived at 5 a.m., check-in at 14:00. We paid $ 40 extra - everything was decided at once - a large room with a sea view.
In general, the rest left a pleasant impression)
A good hotel, but they don't speak Russian well. 2 swimming pools, near a small beach. There is a store. One bar is near the pool, the second is indoors.
The only hotel with its own sea. You don't have to go far, but the beach is very very small for such a large hotel. Near the Medina, shops, fortress, picturesque places. The rooms are quite decent. Clear.
Terrible hotel.... the attitude of the staff towards the guests is simply terrible, the food is disgusting, on the 3rd day they stopped eating at the hotel, the drinks are underground, the pool bar is the local terrible vodka and lemonade that hangs out in the machine all day, that's the cocktail.
Russian tourists are treated very badly.the food is terrible.everything is dirty.a gym is declared, but in fact it costs two bicycles and that's it!There are not enough dishes. You're always waiting for glasses.disposable cups are washed.
