We were at the hotel before Christmas, and the atmosphere was very good. Like in the movie Home alone: a large and pompous hotel in the heart of CausewayBay. It is convenient to get by bus from Shenzhen, there is no need to go down to the subway. On our dates, it was the cheapest hotel in the area, at about 240$. We stayed at the Pullman last time, but I liked the atmosphere more at this hotel. We lived on the 25th floor, the views are great. The rooftop pool was not included, as it operates for limited hours.

I liked the hotel in general. Although a little old, but a big + not a small room. The view from the window was of the strait. It was cleaned quickly, it was clean. But there was no time to sit in the room. All the time on excursions. I liked the breakfast, a large selection. We were happy to eat the usual food, good coffee. There is a swimming pool on the top floor. Quite decent, small. You can sunbathe. There has been no one else since morning. We were very glad that there was a Michelin-listed restaurant in the same building. Very tasty and reasonable prices. The cuisine is local. We went twice. They have a tea party at the bar in the afternoon, but we didn't get there, there was no time. Very sorry. We recommend this hotel.

This is the first time I've seen a 5-star hotel in such poor condition. They need to take off all the stars so that they don't embarrass themselves and mislead the guests.
The ceilings in the lobby are in black mold - this is the face of the hotel (entrance group).
The door to the shower is dripping from past guests.
Unpleasant smell in the corridors.
There is dust in the corners, even debris.
There is a year-old dirt on the lamps.
There is no bottled water, they put a jug (I'm afraid to imagine where they collect water.
The bed linen is good.
We arrived for 2 days, on the second day we did not stay, because in the morning repairs began to be carried out in the next room and I was woken up by a puncher, it was simply impossible to stay in the room. We immediately went to the reception to figure out why they dislike their guests so much, so that you would understand even no one would apologize. We told them to move us to a place where there is no repair or we will leave, the answer was: leave.
When we were sorting out at the reception, we were late for the paid breakfast, and it was expensive.
It's a shame that a hotel with a good location without service and care for its guest.
It is completely out of 5 stars.
Maximum of 3 stars.
I rarely write a review, since everything was always fine with five stars, unfortunately this is not the case here.

Convenient location, tea, coffee in the room, a little view of the harbor.. an old hotel, dirty, boorish porter of the evening shift, I do not advise! the price tag is too high!
