A week in the Ramada (Akbook)
When there is no choice, but you have to choose and you fly to the Akbook.
First of all, about the place, this is a small village, where, as we understood, villas for the rest of the Turkish population and a couple of large hotels)
There are shops, pharmacies and many cafes in the village. An embankment, a pier with boats, it is possible to buy walks in the sea, fishing.
Separately, I want to draw your attention to the fact that this is a BAY, you will not see the sea.
The advantage of the bay is there are no waves, a very pleasant entry into the water along the sand and increasing depth.
The beach itself is not big, there are enough sun beds, it is quite clean. It is formally divided into a hotel part and a part for locals.
Now the Ramada hotel itself
declares itself as 5*, somewhere they write 4*, my opinion is a confident 4.
I'll start with the cons:
1. Smoking is allowed everywhere except in the room.
2. Instant coffee
3. That's it, there will be no more disadvantages if you have studied in advance where you are flying 😄
About accommodation:
1. The hotel is in good condition, the rooms are clean, there is a little mold in the bathroom, but in my experience even good 5 suffer from this*
2. Comfortable mattresses, pillows
3. The rooms have bathroom amenities, tea, coffee, water.
4. Towels were changed every day, bed every 3 days
5. Wet cleaning every day
6. You get beach towels by the pool, they are also changed every day.
7. The hotel has no territory, several residential blocks, a large swimming pool (cleaned every day at night), a restaurant.
8. Unobtrusive animation, children have nothing to do. There's a disco for them in the evening.
9. Nutrition: you will be 100% full, in my opinion there is a sufficient variety of food, beef, chicken, lamb, fish, squid, cheeses, snacks, salads, pastries, sweets, fruits (apples, peaches, pears, grapes, plums) local alcohol, Efes beer is normal.
10. The transfer to the beach goes regularly, every 20 minutes, 3-4 minutes on the way. (you have studied where you are going and remember that the hotel is not coastal).
11. On the beach there is an area with a pool and slides, there is a bar. Above the bar is the restaurant ala kart (fish), they give the same as in the restaurant at the hotel, the only difference is you are sitting by the sea))
12. In the evening there are children's discos, some show programs, all the people hang out in the lobby, play board games)
13. There is a disco in the basement under the restaurant, young people are dancing))))
14. The contingent is mainly Turks, Poles, Germans, British, and of course our compatriots))
15. The staff does not speak Russian, but our well done, the bartenders have already been taught the right words 😁
16. The staff is polite!
I think I have everything for the hotel, if you want to have a quiet time, then it's a good option. For me, it is more family-friendly, nevertheless, there are a lot of young people in it.
If you decide to entertain yourself, then a minibus goes from the hotel to Didim every 20 minutes, there you eat to the end, get out and in front of you there is an exit to the embankment, shops, here you will definitely find everything you need) boat trips, shops, souvenirs)
To return back, come to the same place. The fare is 50 liras, +- 1 hour on the way.
The hotel is not bad for this region. I should immediately note that there is nothing around the hotel, from the word at all. The room stock is tired, but everything you need is there, they clean decently, the staff responds to the requests of the guest, tries to solve the issue. There are no Russian-speaking staff, and only a couple of people speak English, but an electronic translator will help)). The food is not varied, but decent. Children's animation is very weak and the animators speak only Turkish. The evening shows for adults are so-so, but there are interesting guests:acrobats, fireshow, etc.
In general, it is beautiful, the food is varied enough and delicious, the cleanliness of the rooms is insufficient in my opinion, the pool slides close at 17:30. there are 2 pools and they are big enough
