A week in the Ramada (Akbook)
When there is no choice, but you have to choose and you fly to the Akbook.
First of all, about the place, this is a small village, where, as we understood, villas for the rest of the Turkish population and a couple of large hotels)
There are shops, pharmacies and many cafes in the village. An embankment, a pier with boats, it is possible to buy walks in the sea, fishing.
Separately, I want to draw your attention to the fact that this is a BAY, you will not see the sea.
The advantage of the bay is there are no waves, a very pleasant entry into the water along the sand and increasing depth.
The beach itself is not big, there are enough sun beds, it is quite clean. It is formally divided into a hotel part and a part for locals.
Now the Ramada hotel itself
declares itself as 5*, somewhere they write 4*, my opinion is a confident 4.
I'll start with the cons:
1. Smoking is allowed everywhere except in the room.
2. Instant coffee
3. That's it, there will be no more disadvantages if you have studied in advance where you are flying 😄
About accommodation:
1. The hotel is in good condition, the rooms are clean, there is a little mold in the bathroom, but in my experience even good 5 suffer from this*
2. Comfortable mattresses, pillows
3. The rooms have bathroom amenities, tea, coffee, water.
4. Towels were changed every day, bed every 3 days
5. Wet cleaning every day
6. You get beach towels by the pool, they are also changed every day.
7. The hotel has no territory, several residential blocks, a large swimming pool (cleaned every day at night), a restaurant.
8. Unobtrusive animation, children have nothing to do. There's a disco for them in the evening.
9. Nutrition: you will be 100% full, in my opinion there is a sufficient variety of food, beef, chicken, lamb, fish, squid, cheeses, snacks, salads, pastries, sweets, fruits (apples, peaches, pears, grapes, plums) local alcohol, Efes beer is normal.
10. The transfer to the beach goes regularly, every 20 minutes, 3-4 minutes on the way. (you have studied where you are going and remember that the hotel is not coastal).
11. On the beach there is an area with a pool and slides, there is a bar. Above the bar is the restaurant ala kart (fish), they give the same as in the restaurant at the hotel, the only difference is you are sitting by the sea))
12. In the evening there are children's discos, some show programs, all the people hang out in the lobby, play board games)
13. There is a disco in the basement under the restaurant, young people are dancing))))
14. The contingent is mainly Turks, Poles, Germans, British, and of course our compatriots))
15. The staff does not speak Russian, but our well done, the bartenders have already been taught the right words 😁
16. The staff is polite!
I think I have everything for the hotel, if you want to have a quiet time, then it's a good option. For me, it is more family-friendly, nevertheless, there are a lot of young people in it.
If you decide to entertain yourself, then a minibus goes from the hotel to Didim every 20 minutes, there you eat to the end, get out and in front of you there is an exit to the embankment, shops, here you will definitely find everything you need) boat trips, shops, souvenirs)
To return back, come to the same place. The fare is 50 liras, +- 1 hour on the way.
The hotel is not bad for this region. I should immediately note that there is nothing around the hotel, from the word at all. The room stock is tired, but everything you need is there, they clean decently, the staff responds to the requests of the guest, tries to solve the issue. There are no Russian-speaking staff, and only a couple of people speak English, but an electronic translator will help)). The food is not varied, but decent. Children's animation is very weak and the animators speak only Turkish. The evening shows for adults are so-so, but there are interesting guests:acrobats, fireshow, etc.
In general, it is beautiful, the food is varied enough and delicious, the cleanliness of the rooms is insufficient in my opinion, the pool slides close at 17:30. there are 2 pools and they are big enough
At the moment of writing the review, I am staying at this hotel. I live in block G, a room with three beds.
What I want to say in general is not bad, but there is good, and there is bad as always. This review is purely my opinion.
And let's go, I'll start with the cons, so that later I can brighten them up with the pros).
Minuses:
- Room cleaning, it seems to me that this is a big minus of this hotel. There is no cleaning as such in principle. They just make the bed, put the bathroom accessories and change the towels, and sometimes they forget to put the last one.
- Food. For me, this is a minus, since I want to eat tasty and satisfying, as well as varied. You really won't be hungry, but you won't get any variety. Every day it's a standard set.
- The staff. They hardly speak Russian here. There is Inna's two-piece, thanks to her separately, as well as Oksana, she takes shopping only these two speak Russian.
- Service. If you were vacationing in parks where you were cleaned every second and brought everything you want, then this hotel is passing by.
- Ala-kart restaurant, guys, you shouldn't even go there, just waste your time. It's not delicious there!
Positive:
- Animation. Oh, it's something different every night, fun, entertaining, dancing, the child is waiting every night to go to a mini disco. Animation takes out this hotel! For her sake, I would probably come back here a second time.
- Not a bad hotel, but not 4 stars! The rooms are not much tired, but if you remove them, I think they will shine in a new way.
- Water slides, children are delighted and adults too.
- You can eat and have a snack at any time, but again the same thing.
As a result, my opinion is that the 3+ hotel is not higher, although they say that this chain in the Emirates, for example, is at the highest level. I'm unlikely to come back here, but I can do it once.
Have a good rest, everyone. I wrote a great review, as I relied very much on the reviews of others when searching for a hotel!
I stayed at this hotel from September 25th to 7th. I liked everything very much. The staff is very good., wonderful guys. The food is very tasty. And the fact that you need to take an open bus to the sea a little bit, it's even fun and interesting. I will definitely return there!!!
It was our first vacation abroad, we chose hotels on the first line, but at the last moment we stopped at the Ramada, the price was pleasant and the trip to the beach by bus did not bother us. We flew through Anex, we gave 50 thousand rubles for 6 nights.
We drove from the airport for about 1.5 hours. While everyone was crammed into huge buses to other hotels, we were traveling in an empty micro. We were greeted perfectly, initially we booked a room with a sea view, we were given the last building, the most recent room, the sea, of course, is far away and to the side, but the balcony is just huge, there were mountains on the left, the sea on the right. The Wi-Fi was fine and it's FREE, as is the safe. The rooms are new, clean, and have a lovely bath. The territory is small, but the pool is huge + slides. The dining room is located on the terrace overlooking the sea.
The food is ordinary, nothing special, my husband did not have enough meat (he does not eat beef), I did not have time to get hungry. Despite the fact that the food is provided by the staff, there were no queues and discomfort. They always put in more than they asked for. There was always an open kitchen on the grill for dinner. Delicious ice cream was served at lunch + the snack bar always worked. Alcohol is normal, I can't say anything.
It takes about 3 minutes to go to the sea, there is a pool with slides and a city beach on the shore, but everything is equipped from the hotel, there have always been sun loungers with umbrellas. They always cleaned up, there are not many people from the city there. Around the mountain, the entrance is shallow.
The staff at the hotel is young, but very attentive and smiling, pleasant. In the dining room, the guys rustle like bees, keep an eye on everyone, before you have time to ask, they are already carrying the appliances, immediately removing empty plates, etc.
There was not much daytime entertainment, in the evening we went to bed around 22:00, I don't know what kind of disco there is. A lot of rooms are really located inside, if the first floor is directly access to the pool, people were constantly walking there, I think it's not very comfortable. But we were lucky, the room is on the third floor in the last building with a balcony overlooking the sea, it was quiet and peaceful, you couldn't hear the music.
There is a mosque next to the hotel, and prayers were heard at 6 a.m. Not to say that it was very annoying. There is nothing around the hotel except country villages, we did not go anywhere and did not go. There really aren't many people in the hotel who speak Russian, but there is a girl Inna who is always there, we have addressed her several times. Even with a low level of English, the staff will understand you and always help you. There are few Russians in the hotel, which was a huge plus for us.
It was a wonderful vacation, it all depends on your mood. Everything worked out for us, and the vacation left very warm memories.
I gave it away at this hotel, everything was fine, but on the 3rd day we were robbed!the incident was not pleasant,,, to which the manager said that it was their esteemed guest/Turk/who had confused the room,,,, but it did not stop him from stealing money and things from us!!!!???Like this
We are vacationing from 09/23/2019 to 30.09.2019 , I am writing from the hotel , a great place for a family holiday, just for a family, the hotel is not for lovers of parties. They cook delicious food, there is a lot of food, but there is always something to choose from the monotony, going to the sea only in coral slippers, there is a wonderful pool by the sea for both adults and children. Mini bars at every turn, ice cream every day is delicious. The rooms are clean, the furniture is not old. We liked the location of the hotel - the view of the sea, as well as the entire coast. Everything is very good, I personally have absolutely nothing to complain about, we rested with great pleasure!!!!
I had a rest on 09/23/20 to 10/27/20. Wonderful hotel! And the staff makes it wonderful!!! Great attitude, despite the language barrier!! I would like to express my special gratitude to Inna and Mustafa!!!! After talking with them, I definitely want to return to this hotel!! Many thanks to Inna for her help! And Mustafa for the extremely delicious cocktails!!! Many thanks to all the staff of the hotel!!!! The room is clean, the view from the balcony is very beautiful! !! The fact that you have to go to the sea did not bother at all), although I am a lover of the sea, which is nearby))
Coral travel sells this hotel as a 5*.
Maybe it's the expectations of good quality service and the quality of 5-star rooms.. but you won't find that here. I've been to hotels of different levels, but this one isn't even 3*..
I'll start with the fact that the rooms are battered, I attach photos. With loose wallpaper, cracked baseboards, etc.
The sound insulation is zero, so when the neighbors turn on the TV, you listen to it...In general, I had a request for silence and I asked for a room far from public places and discos. The disco takes place every day from 23 to 2 am. You can hear it in almost all buildings and rooms..so if you love the silence and the sounds of nature, you are not here..
Specifically, I did not have WiFi in my room 2115.. and the Internet was connected only near the reception and the pool. The only advantage of the room is a large balcony.
The beach itself, for which people usually go to Turkey, is rarely ugly, there is no sand, but there is dry dirty clay.. people call this place dog beach because big stray dogs rest there..
And the general feeling of disorder and abandonment hangs in the air. Around the beach is a place of rest for local residents and the whole coast is dirty, in the footsteps of an upright man..
I love natural wildlife as well, but this is different.. Something very sad..
The European 3 hotel, of course, the rooms and the large pool inside the courtyard with animation reach it to 4, but the sea a kilometer from the hotel is a huge minus, the bus to the sea is just tin, the beach is not sand at all, but packed clay of a sandy type, the entrance to the sea is knee-deep 50 meters of sand.
A normal hotel for the money that they charge for a vacation, in principle, like the average Turkish five, although officially it is 4* (not to be confused with 5 + 2) cons 2 is not a large private territory, and the beach is a kilometer from the hotel (but there are shuttles, as well as 2 more pools at the beach about 100 meters from the sea and a bar where you can have a snack), the sand on the beach is quite heavily packed.
Comfortable rooms. Very kind workers: animation will not let you get bored, the bartender is always friendly and smiling. Beautiful views from the rooms
