I was at the Ritz in the 80s. A lot has changed since then. birch trees have been built up, numerous cafes and catamaran rental points distract from the contemplation of the beautiful lake. It is very crowded in the summer. But the lake itself is amazing!

A beautiful place, a large observation deck or a place for a photo.
There are many cafes and eateries on the right and left side.
We were in the extreme left, Abkhazian lunch -500 ₽ (smoked meat, beans like lobio, hominy)
Everything is too salty floating in fat -not tasty, there was smoked cheese in hominy, too, and very salty.
Shish kebab lamb skewer-600 ₽ is also a complete disappointment hard and smelly.
The only thing was a delicious boat -khachapuri in Adjarian, lavash with meat.

A very pleasant place to relax in any weather. The lake is crystal clear. There is no garbage. You can take a catamaran and swim on the lake. Swimming is prohibited. The lake is worth a visit anyway.

I expected more from the main attraction of Abkhazia. In general, it was good, but there was not enough naturalness. And it was me at the beginning of May, not in the season. Cafes were annoying, as with music from the Soviet Union. And the water is muddy. I was pleased with the mountains in the snow on the background. The road to the Ritz is worth special attention. She's beautiful. I recommend going on an individual tour with a good guide.

A beautiful lake, especially in sunny weather, the water is emerald blue! The pictures are gorgeous. There are several observation decks, many cafes and souvenir shops. Catamaran rental for 2 and 4 people. You can see the mountains covered with snow! And in cloudy weather, the lake is not very good - the water is gray, and there is no snow on the mountains.

The lake is very beautiful, and the shore is in a sad state. Local merchants bought new beautiful catamarans (made in Crimea), and the old ones from Soviet times were simply hidden in the bushes around. Indeed, why suffer and take it out somewhere or dispose of it? There is no embankment as such - a shore with fragments of planks from the construction of piers for rental and garbage that no one cleans up.
