We were out of season, there were very few people. Cafes and canteens were open. A very pleasant place. There is a place to walk, have a delicious meal. We will definitely come again. It is beautiful, like everything historical in New Athos, despite the fact that it is a little neglected, like everything in Abkhazia as a whole.
The seaside Park is a cascade of several artificial ponds. There is a zoo with swans (white and black) walking freely in the park and swimming in ponds, as well as a pair of large ostriches in an aviary. Lotuses are blooming in one of the swampy central ponds.
The park is located in a lowland, near the sea. The highway is separated from it. Since most of the other attractions of New Athos are located on fairly steep slopes or on the very tops of the mountains, it is better to complete the acquaintance with the town in the Seaside Park than to start it from here. Just relax by sitting by the water on benches in the shade of greenery, and then, crossing the highway and you can plunge into the sea. There are several cafes, restaurants and mini-hotels near the park. Local hot pastries - "boat" (with and without egg), according to many, are the tastiest here.
