The church dedicated to the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in 1803-1830 at the expense of the local church community. The Orthodox celebrate the Nativity of the Mother of God on September 21, it is one of the great Orthodox holidays. The Mother of God, through her service to God and the Nativity of Christ, took an important step towards saving humanity from spiritual destruction. The image of the Virgin Mary is highly revered in the Orthodox world as the Patroness and Intercessor of all the suffering. That is why there are a significant number of churches in Ukraine dedicated to the Nativity of the Theotokos. The Baranovsky temple was reconstructed in the 2000s, the altar and the interior of the temple were restored. The temple building is an architectural monument of local importance. Orthodox divine services are regularly held in the Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos, and religious and educational activities are conducted.
