We were in Poseidon on 10/26/2024, a nice, cozy hotel. Clean, very polite staff. The room was on the third floor, despite the cool weather, the room is warm. The cafe in the living room itself was not working. But there are many cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel is right on the beach, we slept all night to the sound of the surf, very cool. The hotel has its own parking for 5 or 6 cars, right at the entrance. The prices are very affordable.
The hotel has a separate exit to the sea promenade along the sea, there are balconies with sea views. There are all conditions for a comfortable stay.
Of the cons: 1) near a cafe with very loud music until one o'clock in the morning, but then silence and the sea surf; 2) towels are clean, but already quite gray and washed.
Otherwise, we were satisfied with everything.

We rested at the Poseidon Hotel in July 2024. I liked everything very much!
Many advantages: the sea is nearby, sun beds and umbrellas are included in the price and it is not a problem to find a free one, coolers on the floors with cold and hot water, snow-white linen is changed every three days, mattresses are soft, there are towels for the beach, the hotel is very clean, excellent Internet, a shared balcony where you can order food from a cafe(the service is free). Balconies are more comfortable on the third floor. There are no power and water outages. In the evening, you can go to the disco from the Adjika cafe, next to the hotel. The music is heard until midnight, then silence. The staff is very friendly. Excursions were booked directly at the hotel from the reception of Madonna.

The first time we stayed at this hotel was almost 10 years ago. We got there absolutely by accident, we just decided to try to relax not in Sochi, but in Abkhazia. And we got to Poseidon. And they have never regretted this decision. My youngest child literally grew up in the arms of the owners and staff of this hotel. No vacation goes by without visiting Poseidon. For so many years, it's like you come not just to a hotel, but to visit your family. The rooms are always clean and cozy. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The linen is changed every 3 days.
Excellent cuisine. They can even cook something that is not on the menu. I have extremely picky children, but here they know how to please such pampering)) food can be ordered to your floor. Dinner with a view of the sea and sunset, a special treat.
The proximity of the sea. Your own beach, licks, separate towels for the beach. The hotel is right on the beach.
And in general, the location is extremely convenient. Within walking distance of shops, playgrounds, Aqua Park, city market.
Although for so many years we have already traveled all the sights of this wonderful country, but a visit to the Ritsa is included in the mandatory program and we always book excursions only through the hotel administrator. Because the companies are checked and you can be calm about the safety of the trip, which is extremely important, given the traffic and driving style on the roads, especially along the serpentine. The advantages can be listed endlessly.

A wonderful place! We had a rest in September. We arrived ahead of check-in time, the room was ready to move in and we were checked in earlier. The receptionist, Madonna, is a pleasant, kind woman, helped with solving any of our questions. The room is clean and has everything you need. Comfortable mattresses, pillows, clean bed linen, towel. The beach is less than a minute away) own sun beds with umbrellas. The hotel has a cafe where you can have a delicious meal. Within walking distance of pharmacies, shops, market, cafes. I will definitely come back here again.

We had a rest in July 2024, on the 3rd floor in a two-room room. A small cozy hotel. A private beach with sun loungers. The room is large, each room has air conditioning, TV. The bed linen and towel are all clean and fresh. Hair dryer, safe is available. The lights were turned off, but quickly turned on. There is a cooler with hot and cold water on the floor, always available. They didn't buy water. The iron is on the floor, normal, and not broken as usual. On the territory of the cafe, I personally did not like the kitchen. The only advantage is that you can order room service. In general, I really liked the hotel. The first coastline, everything is nearby. The only disadvantage is the proximity to the adjika cafe, from which music plays until two in the morning. And I recommend it, we will definitely return here in Gagra.

Raul, I'm sorry, but this is an honest review. We stayed at this "hotel" in July 2016. There is nothing to remember from the good moments. The room was on the second floor with access to a high fence and barbed wire. There are roaring air conditioners under the window, noise and a swarm of mosquitoes in the room. There are no such annoying and tenacious mosquitoes even in the taiga. They are not affected by two established Fumitox! They fly through the net, the bathroom, everywhere, we haven't slept for 5 days and wondered when this hell will end. The whole hotel was sick with rotovirus, temperature 39, vomiting. In Gagra, electric power is often turned off and the rooms become stuffy at night. It's noisy at night from roaring discos until 4 a.m. If there is no electricity in the hotel, you can only eat sausage, bun and bread in the nearest store, which looks like a village store. No more footwork, even for free.

But I was not happy for a long time, because I got sick, the condition was terrible. But there was a kind fairy, a beautiful little man, who is called by a beautiful name -MADONNA!!! If it wasn't for her, I myself wouldn't have been able to overcome all the difficulties and cope with this unfortunate rotovirus. She surrounded me with care and attention, treatment. Poseidon is a small, incredibly cozy and clean hotel on the zero line right by the sea (30 seconds away), where an amazing friendly atmosphere reigns, thanks to the absolutely magical fairy of this place, Madonna, who creates a paradise for guests. We really liked Gagra in general. The Poseidon Hotel has a great location, overlooking the sea. There is a neat parking lot next to a building like the Russian Embassy where you don't have to worry about the car. The hotel itself is not big, I will not say that it is super. But the beds are nice and clean, in winter we were warm there in January. There is really no kettle, soap, shampoo, etc., there is a hair dryer. But if you are not an instadura for whom only photos are important, you will be very comfortable and pleasant. From the room, almost everyone has access to a long shared balcony with tables and chairs overlooking the sea. In the evenings, we left all the rooms, ate, drank, treated each other, chatted as if we had known each other for many years. Next to the right is a Chocolate Maker coffee shop for a hundred rubles coffee on the sand, chic hurabye cookies. At the exit from the hotel, you run into a coffee shop, I advise you to drink coffee there. At the reception there is a girl with the wonderful name Madonna, an incredibly charming girl, and like all people in Abkhazia, incredibly kind and simple!

We rested in this hotel for the third time. We returned from there on October 9, 2023.
We really appreciate all the possibilities of this hotel. The hotel is very small and the work of every person working in it and providing comfort for all visitors was visible.

Once I heard the opinion that an expensive cafe at the hotel. I assure you, the prices are affordable and do not differ from the prices of any cafe. This is not a dining room where three dishes cost 350 rubles. The cook cooks very tasty, For a hotel of this level (this is not a super-premium hotel complex), the menu and cooking quality are very decent. In Abkhazia, it is impossible to eat for cheap in order to avoid problems with the gastrointestinal tract. And so, the rotovirus does not sleep.
The hotel is very clean, cleaning is carried out every three days and bed linen is changed. The service staff is polite and always ready to help with any problem. There is a possibility of free use of sun beds by the sea, which is important for tourists.
Yes, there are disadvantages (the equipment is not new, the music is playing loudly, although you understand that there are always noisy and a lot of people on the first coastline), but the excellent location by the sea, wonderful staff (Madonna, Sveta, Saida, Irina, Sergey, Tigran), a friendly atmosphere compensates for the shortcomings.
We had been resting since September 22, the rotovirus epidemic had subsided (the influx of children had decreased many times), the sea was +23 degrees, many were swimming, but it was uncomfortable for me, the fruit on the market was around 150 rubles per kilogram.
In general, only positive impressions remained from the rest. We know the country, its peculiarities. We came to another country, so we try to respect the traditions, customs and people of the country in which we spend our holidays.

We were supposed to stay at this hotel in the period from August 28, 2024 to September 09, 2024, the aggressive (presumably intoxicated) owner of the hotel, Raul, kicked me and two young children out into the street at night, beating me and my child, snatching our phones from us, motivating his actions by the fact that that a three-year-old child accidentally (during illness) stained their sheet with green paint! The money for the remaining paid period of stay in the amount of 60,000 rubles was not returned to me! There is also a cafe in this hotel, from which you are guaranteed to get sick with rotavirus, you ate only in this cafe, respectively, the whole family got sick! If you want to get sick with rotavirus on vacation and be beaten, go to this hotel !!!!!
Today 11.10.2024 I offered the aggressive Raul the owner of the hotel to voluntarily return the 60,000 rubles that he had illegally appropriated, deliberately kicking us out of the hotel!!! He refused to return the money ! He throws me a photo with some dirty bed linen, which apparently was stained by the hotel staff on his orders!))) Wow, the cost of two sheets in this hotel is 60,000 rubles!!))))) Beware, Russians, of these people who are the hotel administration! I still get goosebumps from their criminal plan!!! Don't believe what they promise on the site. There is no transfer to the airport at the hotel for 700 rubles per person, they only sell an individual for 4000 rubles. The blanket is not based on the number of guests (the room is a two-room junior suite), but on the number of beds: one and a half blankets per double bed. There is dust and sand on the tables and tables in the room. The room is not cleaned every day. There is a short shower curtain in the bathroom and all the water is on the floor. The water pressure in the shower is weak. There is no chair promised on the website, there are no chairs. Noisy guests who arrange discos on the shared balcony are not pacified - the noise lasts until late at night. There is no private beach of its own, they do not give out the promised deck chairs. You will not find the promised kettle in the room and coffee on the website either. The ironing board and iron are not in the room, as broadcast on the website, but in the common corridor. The iron is ancient, as a result, the clothes were ruined.

All owners of hotels and guest houses should pay attention to the operation of food units. Complete unsanitary conditions everywhere. In Poseidon, dirty and clean dishes are on one table, food is prepared in the same room with a dishwasher, the staff works without overalls and gloves, they do not wash the bags, storage of finished and raw products in one refrigerator, the brazier carries a barbecue for serving, felt it with his hands, wiped his hands on his trousers, then cut the onion, shook it with his hands, without gloves, he spread it out on a barbecue. The cook also wears an oily T-shirt, and walks and cooks on the street. It cooks delicious. It's stupid to deny it. But there is unsanitary conditions all around. And it's everywhere. There are no sanitary services in Abzasia, or there are, but all problems are solved in their own way, as well as on the entire Black Sea coast. Hence the E. coli. In the USSR, the sanitary service came twice a month and took flushes in the food department from absolutely everything:hands, work clothes, inventory, products, refrigerators, dishes, tables. And God forbid there will be an E. coli somewhere. The company was being closed. And now there is complete impunity. In general, we are satisfied with the rest. We chose the dishes completely after heat treatment. And we went to eat at the Pearl, nearby. It's cheaper there and there's more order. The receptionist and all the staff are just super polite and good-natured., the rooms are nice, linen and cleaning on schedule. The only thing in front of our windows is a cafe that does not work at night, but the hotel residents arrange drunkenness, and the staff does not tell them anything, the time is 4-5 in the morning, it was not possible to sleep before leaving, if all the days of our arrival were like this, then of course I would tell the administration, but everything is clean, cozy! But there should be a time limit for gatherings and drinking at the table near the rooms, for this there are bars that work until the morning and people walk there, and not in a closed bar, this only left a bad mood, the next day, leaving, they told the administrator, to which she replied that there was nothing, there was silence, Well, okay, we didn't discuss this topic further since we were leaving!

They drove us comfortably. The receptionist met Madonna, a beautiful and kind woman. I liked the room more than in the photo. Made with taste. We could even hear the sound of the sea from the toilet) We lived on the 3rd floor. There is an inscription on the tables that they are for general use, respectively, there were different people in front of the room, someone smoked, someone sometimes sat late, and he helped us out while acclimatizing)) No one was fighting. The door in the room is powerful -iron, Safe at the reception.Excellent sound insulation, no foreign odors, including from the balcony, if someone smokes. the hood works well and there are practically no insects. Wet cleaning every day. It is very convenient that food from the cafe can be ordered directly to the balcony. This has helped us out more than once. the atmosphere at the hotel is very friendly and family-friendly. The chefs came to meet us and cooked dairy-free porridges and boiled potatoes for the children) For this, a separate bow. We especially loved breakfast here. Everything was delicious and comfortable for the price: pancakes with jam, different omelets, we took draniki on the road(delicious), cheesecakes. Soups are different and depend on the mood of the cook) Pork kebabs and a boat are especially loved here. Excellent olivier) Good homemade wine. The cafe offers a beautiful view of the sea and when the music is playing, it is pleasant. It has its own "Europe". On the embankment in other places, there was no desire to eat. A saxophone plays near the hotel in the evenings, a delight for the ears. We extended the reservation as much as possible and Raul gave us a discount, it's in season!!, We would have stayed longer at this hotel, but the seats were not until the end of our vacation. Having moved into an apartment nearby, we often came here and were always welcome and helped.
About the beach. It is surprisingly clean and sparsely populated, especially if we talk about the end of June. The only disadvantage is the scooters, who from about 10 a.m., offering their services, ride side by side with the heads of vacationers. It was annoying.Swimming is ideal early in the morning or in the evening. The water is lovely. Green and blue.
The location is great. there is a market, pharmacies and shops nearby. After 12, everything subsides.
I am glad that the hotel is trying to grow for the guests. at the same time offering adequate prices.

At first, I waited a very long time for the waiter. Then they cooked dinner for a very long time. And in the end, they brought dishes that are better not even to try. Disgusting cooking. It is better not to spoil people's food and recreation.
And by the way, they answered my review that you can't be so negative. And how should I write a review if the worst pies from the train station and those would be a masterpiece of cooking compared to what we were served for dinner.

If it were possible to put a zero, I would put it. The hotel was booked on the website, no one answered the phone for three days. The hotel met us without lights. As it turned out, this is normal for Abkhazia. But decent hotels have a generator. Not here. On one of the three days, something burned out there and there was no water at all. None at all. The walls of the hotel are cardboard. If someone is doing something adult, then sleep is out of the question. You can even hear people going to the toilet. About the toilet, by the way. The shower curtains are not up to the floor, when you wash, all the water is on the floor. The rooms stink of mold. The view from the window is also "wow" - it's a wall. Of the advantages, only the location. The first line. But I'd rather pay extra than live in this. We stayed for three days, so somehow we got over it. I definitely wouldn't have done it for longer

We rested at the Poseidon Hotel from 12/30/12 to 2.01.23. For the first time in Abkhazia. It's love at first sight. I Liked Everything. The hotel is located next to the sea. The rooms are clean. Special thanks to the administrator Madonna, attentive and kind attitude. In general, everyone in Abkhazia is kind and friendly people.
