The cafe in the living room itself was not working. But there are many cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel is right on the beach, we slept all night to the sound of the surf, very cool. The hotel has its own parking for 5 or 6 cars, right at the entrance. The prices are very affordable.
The hotel has a separate exit to the sea promenade along the sea, there are balconies with sea views. There are all conditions for a comfortable stay.
Of the cons: 1) near a cafe with very loud music until one o'clock in the morning, but then silence and the sea surf; 2) towels are clean, but already quite gray and washed.
Otherwise, we were satisfied with everything.

Many advantages: the sea is nearby, sun beds and umbrellas are included in the price and it is not a problem to find a free one, coolers on the floors with cold and hot water, snow-white linen is changed every three days, mattresses are soft, there are towels for the beach, the hotel is very clean, excellent Internet, a shared balcony where you can order food from a cafe(the service is free). Balconies are more comfortable on the third floor. There are no power and water outages. In the evening, you can go to the disco from the Adjika cafe, next to the hotel. The music is heard until midnight, then silence. The staff is very friendly. Excursions were booked directly at the hotel from the reception of Madonna.

The first time we stayed at this hotel was almost 10 years ago. We got there absolutely by accident, we just decided to try to relax not in Sochi, but in Abkhazia. And we got to Poseidon. And they have never regretted this decision. My youngest child literally grew up in the arms of the owners and staff of this hotel. No vacation goes by without visiting Poseidon. The room was on the second floor with access to a high fence and barbed wire. There are roaring air conditioners under the window, noise and a swarm of mosquitoes in the room. There are no such annoying and tenacious mosquitoes even in the taiga. They are not affected by two established Fumitox! They fly through the net, the bathroom, everywhere, we haven't slept for 5 days and wondered when this hell will end. The whole hotel was sick with rotovirus, temperature 39, vomiting. In Gagra, electric power is often turned off and the rooms become stuffy at night. It's noisy at night from roaring discos until 4 a.m. If there is no electricity in the hotel, you can only eat sausage, bun and bread in the nearest store, which looks like a village store. We really liked Gagra in general. The Poseidon Hotel has a great location, overlooking the sea. There is a neat parking lot next to a building like the Russian Embassy where you don't have to worry about the car. The hotel itself is not big, I will not say that it is super. But the beds are nice and clean, in winter we were warm there in January. There is really no kettle, soap, shampoo, etc., there is a hair dryer. The money for the remaining paid period of stay in the amount of 60,000 rubles was not returned to me! There is also a cafe in this hotel, from which you are guaranteed to get sick with rotavirus, you ate only in this cafe, respectively, the whole family got sick! If you want to get sick with rotavirus on vacation and be beaten, go to this hotel !!!!!
Today 11.10.2024 I offered the aggressive Raul the owner of the hotel to voluntarily return the 60,000 rubles that he had illegally appropriated, deliberately kicking us out of the hotel!!! There is dust and sand on the tables and tables in the room. The room is not cleaned every day. There is a short shower curtain in the bathroom and all the water is on the floor. The water pressure in the shower is weak. There is no chair promised on the website, there are no chairs. Noisy guests who arrange discos on the shared balcony are not pacified - the noise lasts until late at night. There is no private beach of its own, they do not give out the promised deck chairs. You will not find the promised kettle in the room and coffee on the website either. The ironing board and iron are not in the room, as broadcast on the website, but in the common corridor. The iron is ancient, as a result, the clothes were ruined.

In Poseidon, dirty and clean dishes are on one table, food is prepared in the same room with a dishwasher, the staff works without overalls and gloves, they do not wash the bags, storage of finished and raw products in one refrigerator, the brazier carries a barbecue for serving, felt it with his hands, wiped his hands on his trousers, then cut the onion, shook it with his hands, without gloves, he spread it out on a barbecue. The cook also wears an oily T-shirt, and walks and cooks on the street. It cooks delicious. It's stupid to deny it. But there is unsanitary conditions all around. And it's everywhere. There are no sanitary services in Abzasia, or there are, but all problems are solved in their own way, as well as on the entire Black Sea coast. Hence the E. coli. In the USSR, the sanitary service came twice a month and took flushes in the food department from absolutely everything:hands, work clothes, inventory, products, refrigerators, dishes, tables. And God forbid there will be an E. coli somewhere. The company was being closed. And now there is complete impunity. In general, we are satisfied with the rest. We chose the dishes completely after heat treatment. And we went to eat at the Pearl, nearby. It's cheaper there and there's more order. If it were possible to put a zero, I would put it. The hotel was booked on the website, no one answered the phone for three days. The hotel met us without lights. As it turned out, this is normal for Abkhazia. But decent hotels have a generator. Not here. On one of the three days, something burned out there and there was no water at all. None at all. The walls of the hotel are cardboard. If someone is doing something adult, then sleep is out of the question. You can even hear people going to the toilet. About the toilet, by the way. The shower curtains are not up to the floor, when you wash, all the water is on the floor. The rooms stink of mold. The view from the window is also "wow" - it's a wall. Of the advantages, only the location. The first line. But I'd rather pay extra than live in this. We stayed for three days, so somehow we got over it. I definitely wouldn't have done it for longer

We rested at the Poseidon Hotel from 12/30/12 to 2.01.23. For the first time in Abkhazia. It's love at first sight. I Liked Everything. The hotel is located next to the sea. The rooms are clean. Special thanks to the administrator Madonna, attentive and kind attitude. In general, everyone in Abkhazia is kind and friendly people.
