I expected more from Alexandria, much more... The buildings are beautiful, the architecture is unusual, but they are not washed, and the glass in the windows is not washed... The city is pretty rubbishy. It seemed that all the residents were born pharaohs... and when I found out that it wasn't safe for tourists to walk in the evening, my mood dropped completely...

The port is clean enough, which cannot be said about the territory outside the port gates. There is duty free, but very modest.
