Positive:
-spacious room (actually an apartment with one bedroom and a kitchen - living room)
-high ceilings,
-air conditioning (one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen-living room)
-kitchen, you can cook your own food and save money, for example, for breakfast, they give you a set of dishes
-washing machine (extra charge),
-location (in a quiet side street, within walking distance from the main square and the market).
-pleasant and helpful staff at the reception.
Minuses:
- The room is "tired", repair is required in some places, it is better not to look under the sofa cover, so as not to get upset.
-there are questions about cleanliness in the room- mold was found in the bathroom on the shower, kitchen furniture is stained, the dishes are frankly greasy and do not look thoroughly washed - the dish sponge is dirty and obviously used, the windows do not seem to be washed to preserve some historical artifacts, we can not find another explanation They could.
-there is virtually no ventilation in the bathroom - there is a window that can be opened, and all the intimate smells will fly into the entrance and elevator shaft. We were there in the summer, and like the cherry on the cake, with the bathroom window open, it was also very stuffy. We did not find any other ventilation in the bathroom.
-for the period of our stay (August 2019), the toilet drain system was broken or not fully mastered by us - it worked every other time, at the reception we were assured that this was how it should be, we did not fully understand the breakdown or the detail that allows us to plunge into the multifaceted culture of Sicily.
The result: "a C grade." In comparison with the photos on the booking site, we expected that the room would be cleaner and fresher. The interior is "rich in what". We can't say that it's bad and not worth it either, it was quiet at night, we slept fine, there was plenty of room, the air conditioner coped.
A compromise option if there is a need to choose affordable housing in the center.
