The complex is located in the agricultural town of Gomel, 20 km from Polotsk towards Lepel, between the lakes Gomel, Suya and Shchaty. There is a large convenient parking lot, a toilet and a gazebo where you can have a snack. This place was once the southern border of the fortified area (the "Stalin Line"), where the fighters held back the German offensive for 20 days in 1941. There is a hill behind the parking lot, into the slope of which a wooden dugout is embedded, and after passing through the trenches, we get to a pillbox - a typical three-contour firing point. The structure has preserved in its original form a massive armored door, niches for machine guns and a central embrasure destroyed by a direct hit of a projectile. The feeling inside is like this when you imagine it all in reality. If you walk past the electrical substation towards the lake, then another pillbox will appear on the hillside, which you can enter.

It's a very interesting place. We were there after Victory Day. By the holiday, the trenches were almost completely renovated, I hope they will not abandon the work and finish what is left. It would not be bad to restore the dugout. The pillbox itself is also in good condition.
