We used it more than once, it turned out to pass the border quite quickly.
In general, the impression is good, both from the Belarusian and Latvian sides.
After the repair, there is now an electronic queue for entry on the Belarusian side. The first time, in early January, we drove by and did not notice the place of registration, because nothing was particularly highlighted, there were no noticeable signs. Maybe they haven't had time to refine everything yet... but it wasn't exactly pleasant to turn around at the border and drive back.
A great transition for 7 years, I go here whenever possible.I'm from Vitebsk myself, it's convenient for me..And pass the border quickly!!Belarusians do not have an X-ray yet, this is both a plus and a minus if they are sent for an X-ray, then they will have to wait for the roof and go to paterniki and back..So if it's loaded, then it's better to go there right away!!
A lot depends on the shift: there are friendly border guards, and there are overly strict ones who can drive a person into a stupor with their own words. For example, we were driving there for the first time and drove into the wrong corridor. A border guard came out and began to tell us pretentiously, they say, what do they teach you in Belarus, can you read??! He reprimanded us for a long time and so sternly, as if we had crossed the border illegally. I understand that we did not do it right, but not to the same extent that we listened for 5 minutes to speeches in which they secretly pointed out to us our narrow-mindedness. He could have told us where to move and that's it, explaining the reason. Well, maybe he was just out of sorts, I don't know, but the residue remained. Before that, we entered Latvia through this border crossing, so we got quite adequate people, pleasant, sociable. It all depends on the people and their emotional state. The transit time is from 20 minutes to 8 hours, the envy of the workload and efficiency of the border guards.
