We spent the night in Beineu, from where we have to drive for another hour or so. As a result, we were at the border at about 5:30 local time. There were 4 cars in front of us. It was launched in 15 minutes. The Kazakh side was passed quite quickly, on the Uzbek side a little longer due to the fact that it was necessary to pay for tinting the rear windows, which took some time. On the Uzbek side, you need to take all the bags out of the car and carry them through the scanner, so you need to sweat if you have a lot of them. It took about 2 hours, which is very fast for this border crossing. We wrote earlier about extortion of money (gifts), as I understand it, on the Kazakh side, we did not encounter, everyone says that they are undergoing reconstruction, maybe there will be improvements compared to what was before. The road after is a complete horror, such as we have not yet encountered in our many trips. I often had to drive across the steppe in sand dust, where several lanes had already been laid, choose any one. The journey to Kungrad took 10 hours. A new road is being built and some taxi drivers are already driving along it, who knows how to get there.
