One of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. The bay is 2 km long. Entering a depth of 100 meters. There are practically no waves.
5 meters of the shore are free. If you come in the morning, you can take good seats. The Italian neighbors and tourists are behaving perfectly. There have never been any problems. Renting a villa near the beach is expensive. But you can rent a little further away and it will be inexpensive. there is a SPAR a couple of kilometers away, and there is Auchan 3 km away. I didn't eat in coastal cafes.
Sellers of coconuts, toys, water, and fruits walk along the beach. In 3 days you will shout "Coco, bella, coco" in a hoarse voice.
Good organization, clean beach, clean water. The paid area, however, is not cheap. In August, the vacationers are all Italians, there are practically no foreigners. Palermo itself is still 50 minutes away by bus, since Mondello, although now considered part of the city, is a former fishing village, like a suburb of Palermo. There is almost nowhere to buy food, only a lot of "catering", for those who are not used to eating three times a day in eateries and restaurants, this is a problem. We had to take groceries from Auchan by taxi. If you rent a car, this is the best option for staying there.
- 30% of beaches are private from hotels
- 30% - cabins of local residents
- 30% paid with a horse price tag = 22 euros for 2 sun beds and an umbrella (and not the fact that there will be seats). The umbrellas on these toll booths are like sprats in a bank - very close to each other.
Free of charge - A narrow 3-5 meter strip, loaded as in Anapa in the season - not only place to put a towel, there is nowhere to drop an apple.
Garbage, bottles, paper - local aborigines do not bother to put all this in bins.
There are no restaurants or cafes along the coastline, of which there are only 5 pieces for the whole village with a horse price tag and shitty service.
The sand is white and soft, but the water is muddy from the insane number of people. Since the water is not running, it stinks of mud. And the green one is blooming.......
