But popularity has a downside - just a wave of tourists, and all the time. The filming of the film brought not only popularity to the island, but also troubles to its creators, however, partly well-deserved. The Americans behaved like a pig, without coordination with the Thai authorities, they concreted some places of the island, abandoned the scenery for the film after the filming, for which King Rama the 9th imposed a ban on the filmmakers from entering Thailand for various periods, and Leonardo DiCaprio received the maximum punishment - a lifetime ban. Currently, there is no swimming on this beach, entry into the water is only knee-deep, drones are prohibited.

We took an excursion to the islands of the arch. Phi Phi-she's worth her money. Magnificent landscapes, beaches with snow-white sand. Snorkeling on Bamboo Island is something!!! My husband and I had an unforgettable experience.You can't swim on the beach itself, you can only go knee-deep, this is strictly monitored by security guards. Firstly, it is a nature reserve, and secondly, small sharks swim up there. When we were there, we saw 2 sharks about 0.7 meters 3 meters away from us. We had about 50 minutes of visiting time, but in principle we had enough and there were not very many people yet. Visit time is 02/19.24.

Please also note that the time for a walk around the island, as a rule, will be limited to you, an hour or an hour and a half. The pier is on one side of the island, and the bay is on the other. There is a narrow path leading from the pier, which is forbidden to get off in order not to spoil the ecosystem of the island, and tourists walk along the path in both directions tightly, and therefore very slowly.
