It is recommended to visit with a personal guide, only by speedboat, there is a risk of running into a crowd of sightseeing tourists. It's a heavenly place without people. We had a boat with 4 engines that arrived very quickly. Long-tailed boats sail for several hours, please note

Azure waters, the smallest snow-white sand - the beach is simply gorgeous. No wonder this place was chosen for the filming of the movie "The Beach" starring Leonardo DiCaprio. But popularity has a downside - just a wave of tourists, and all the time. The filming of the film brought not only popularity to the island, but also troubles to its creators, however, partly well-deserved. The Americans behaved like a pig, without coordination with the Thai authorities, they concreted some places of the island, abandoned the scenery for the film after the filming, for which King Rama the 9th imposed a ban on the filmmakers from entering Thailand for various periods, and Leonardo DiCaprio received the maximum punishment - a lifetime ban. Currently, there is no swimming on this beach, entry into the water is only knee-deep, drones are prohibited.
A super place. It's worth a visit. But I managed to get there the third time. We were driven around all the islands for an hour and a half, waiting for when it would be possible to dock there. There are too many people.
It took a long time to get off the dock, too. Crowds of tourists. Right shoulder to shoulder, everyone moves along these steps and trails. They give you half an hour to visit. Everyone's running, running. It's beautiful, of course, but it's so complicated)))
The place is beautiful, it's better to get here in the morning before the main influx of tourists. The sand is like flour, very fine, the water is clean, the crabs are running
It's worth visiting once
We took an excursion to the islands of the arch. Phi Phi-she's worth her money. Magnificent landscapes, beaches with snow-white sand. Snorkeling on Bamboo Island is something!!! My husband and I had an unforgettable experience. You can't swim on the beach itself, you can only go knee-deep, this is strictly monitored by security guards. Firstly, it is a nature reserve, and secondly, small sharks swim up there. When we were there, we saw 2 sharks about 0.7 meters 3 meters away from us. We had about 50 minutes of visiting time, but in principle we had enough and there were not very many people yet. Visit time is 02/19.24.
It's beautiful, there are a lot of people, a queue to unload from the boat, and then to load. The bay is gorgeous, the sand is white and turquoise water in which you can not swim and go further than the middle of the thigh. If you go further, they will whistle and drive you out of the water. The Thais have imposed a ban on swimming in this place to restore the environment. It's also hard to take a photo, because someone always gets into the frame
It's a beautiful place. White sand like flour, turquoise water, very beautiful. There are a lot of people, but this is understandable, tour after tour is approaching. You need to try to take a photo to get into the frame alone. I really wanted to see sharks, but alas, apparently they are afraid of people, although we were told that there are reef sharks there. They are not allowed to go far into the water, only knee-deep, this is a protected natural area.
It was a gorgeous place, there were a lot of impressions, my eyes were happy, the sea was pampering, time was mercilessly flowing. This is the place where you definitely want to return again!
Crowded with people. You can only go into the water up to your knees. You can't swim. Endless streams of people from all nations. Friendly. Its own atmosphere. But there is no empty beach. He's in the past. :) Thank you, Thailand!
I recommend it for a tick :)
We were part of a group on jet skis. We visited several islands at once.
The island is beautiful. It is a pity, of course, that civilization and garbage are not pleasing ... nature has tried its best, of course, this is a wonderful place. Do not wait for paradise, where people are a lot of garbage ... if you are on the same tour, take a wall with a drone. It turned out very cool)
It is a beautiful place, but it is extremely inconvenient to walk on the sand with bare feet because of the large number of pieces of coral and shells.
This place should definitely be visited when traveling to Thailand, but at the same time it is necessary to take into account, if possible, the flow of tourists in the appropriate season (if there are too many of them, then it will be difficult to enjoy the bay and take beautiful photos), and the weather (juicy photos are possible only with a cloudless sky). Please also note that the time for a walk around the island, as a rule, will be limited to you, an hour or an hour and a half. The pier is on one side of the island, and the bay is on the other. There is a narrow path leading from the pier, which is forbidden to get off in order not to spoil the ecosystem of the island, and tourists walk along the path in both directions tightly, and therefore very slowly. We were in the middle of April, I think we were comfortable both in terms of the number of people and in terms of the weather
A magnificent, stunningly beautiful place. But there are as many tourists as there are crowds on Nevsky Prospekt on a fine summer day. Come here as individuals. At "unacceptable hours".
It's just a fairy tale. We even filmed the sharks jumping out, it's impressive. White sand, rocks, water.... I didn't even give a damn about the people, of whom there are many, about the garbage in places....Well, I'm like that, I can put aside the husk in my head and look at the main thing. A unique place
It is not for nothing that the location for the film the beach with Leo DiCaprio was chosen here. Choose tours where this point is scheduled until 11 o'clock. Otherwise there will be a lot of boats and a lot of people . I personally checked it with a difference of a year . For the first time after 13 o'clock , there is a queue for the path . The second visit before 11 o'clock is a different experience.
It's a very crowded place. Beautiful but not atmospheric. People... people...people all go into the water, take photos, come out - constant movement. The place of worship is worth seeing once. But no energy.
The impressions are good, the view is amazing, it's full of people, you can't swim, because it's a nature reserve. There is salt water in the washbasins, the sand is fine. You can visit it once
A very beautiful place , you will not regret it , it is a beautiful feeling that you will not forget

The most beautiful place!
We went on an excursion, I recommend you to visit!
It's better out of season when there are no crowds..
even in the rain, we got unrealistic visual pleasure.
Maya Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches created by nature, probably could claim to be the best beach in the world, but... The film of the same name made him look like M.Novokuznetsk during rush hour. And yes - you can't swim there, just take pictures! But for this, a low bow to the Thais, as this is the only thing that saves the amazing nature of this place.
It's a very beautiful place. They are not allowed to swim there, only go knee-deep. It's very beautiful, if this point is on the tour, it's better to leave the phone memory on it.
There is a place to buy beer, corn and snacks are easy. The water is clean)
We flew to Thailand for the second time and took this tour with our son for the 2nd time! Everything is normal.

A very beautiful bay. It is a pity that we were not dropped off (we were in August 2024), we only sailed by boat and swam there for a bit. But still, we liked it)
The nature reserve is a corner of our planet. Crystal clear water. Since 2020, after the coronavirus, swimming in the bay has been banned. Reef sharks have appeared, the young come close to the shore.
It is a very beautiful, picturesque place. Unfortunately, you can't swim. The entrance to the sea is only up to the knee, this is very closely watched by specially trained people. As soon as the violation is immediately blown.
A heavenly place if Chinese tourists are not brought in. DiCaprio and the crew of the movie "The Beach" were here. A pretty lagoon, although the entrance to the water is terrible. We were back in the pre-modern era, when everyone was allowed to swim, photos could only be taken with a hundred carcasses behind their backs.
A very beautiful place. The photos turn out to be gorgeous.
It's good that swimming is forbidden here, otherwise it would be impossible to take such cool photos.
I had a rest in December in Patong, went to the islands on an excursion, Maya Bay is the first stop. I really liked it, then on the same island on the other side we swam in the lagoon diving from a yacht.
There are a lot of tourists, you can go into the water nearby, it is problematic to take photos without people. On the way to the bay itself, there are unpleasant odors of their toilet
It's a cool beach, but just to admire, swimming is strictly prohibited there, you can only go knee-deep for a photo. There are small white sharks that I didn't see, but my friends say there are!
The beach is amazing. But they drove over it like on a tank. The people are terrified. And the toilet water is salty. I do not recommend washing your face.
