This place is awesome! Realizing that Istanbul is not exactly a beach resort, I was pleasantly surprised by the beach. Firstly, it is not expensive. 60 liras for August 2024 is 160 rubles . On weekdays we were there all day, there were a lot of people, but there were still free sunbeds. Secondly, a pleasant accessible menu. And to eat and drink - everything is there. The prices are not too wild. The Fatih area is much higher. I took a cold latte for 110 lire - 300 rubles. Thirdly, there are a huge number of changing rooms, showers, sinks with a mirror. A very pleasant, well-maintained place. Going out to sea is a little bit in algae, but they are soft and fluffy, somehow they do not bother. You walk up to the buoys up to your waist. Small. This beach is great for families with children. So you can only go into the water, dive-come up and go on lying on a sunbed or playing beach games. Cigarette butts in the sand are not about the fact that there is no cleaning, but about the fact that there is no culture. There are a lot of garbage cans around, everything can be cleaned up after yourself. He brought water and fruits with him, they were not taken away at the entrance. For 160 rubles - a pleasant, well-groomed and equipped place. If you swim, then you can come here :)
A beautiful place to relax, a magnificent sunset, you can admire endlessly the sea and the seagulls that fly over the sea. There is a large embankment, although there are a lot of people, but there is enough space for everyone.
We searched for the beach for a long time, monitored the reviews, came across Floria) not a single review with details!!! We expected to see green water and cigarette butts in the sand.
I'm telling you)) The entrance is 60 liras according to the Istanbul card. You won't come in for cash. At the entrance, your bags are checked and food and alcoholic beverages are taken away, everything will be returned at the exit. There are some food and drinks on sale. The beach is divided into two parts: family and single)
In September, we were "lucky" to find algae and mud mixed with garbage near the shore. 2-3 meters you overcome this "charm". Then the water is more or less clean, but not transparent, green) maybe at other times of the year everything is different. There are fences in the water, rescuers are working. Plastic deck chairs are also available, you do not need to pay extra. You need to take a blanket or towel with you. There are changing cabins, sinks and a mirror. It seems there are more storage lockers, but that's not for sure. There are cigarette butts in the sand. There is a shower with fresh water. There is a bus stop and a tram stop nearby. This is the most budget option)
City beach. Entrance fee is 60 liras. Very budget friendly. You can pay with a metro card. You can not bring food, the contents of bags are checked at the entrance, the food is handed over to the storage room (the temperature is outside there). There are a lot of sun beds, although they are almost without a gap. The umbrellas are small. The sea is not deep 1.5 meters. The entrance is very gentle. It is convenient with children. Rescuers are constantly watching. There is a food court area. One of the big disadvantages is a large number of cigarette butts in the sand and a few small green algae in the sea. Sun beds, shower, toilet included in the price.
People, this is trash, not the beach…
Entrance is paid, according to the local "troika" only 60 liras, these are pennies, on other beaches from 600 liras and above.
We searched the bag for water and food, you can't bring your own, but that's okay. We went to buy water at the bar, there are giant queues, prices are high, the staff is rude.
We were on Tuesday, but there are a lot of people, 80 percent of the sunbeds are occupied, all the sunbeds are almost close to each other, umbrellas are very small and there are not everywhere. By the way, you do not need to pay extra for sun beds.
The main thing about the beach is water and sand, here both suck. The sand itself is good, fine, but it's all in the trash - gobies, wrappers, no one has ever sifted it!
The water is even worse, covered in algae. They swim in a thick layer near the coastline, it is not pleasant to enter. Do not think that after going further they will not be there, there are fewer of them, but they float in the water column even behind the buoys. By the way, the depth behind the buoys is chest deep. You can't swim much behind the buoys, a lifeguard swims on a jet ski and drives everyone back.
There is no rental of jet skis or other water activities there.
In general, we swam there once and went towards the park (aquarium), the guard shouted something after us for a long time, as I understand it, he threatened not to let us back in. There is a fairly large area of exactly the same beach before the stone breakwaters, so you can come to the park, go around the fence going into the sea and lie on the sand in proud solitude, although there will also be algae.
We went out on the rocks of the breakwaters and swam from them, it's really hard to go into the water from them.
Conclusion. Pros - easy to get to (from Florya metro station 5 min walk), not expensive entrance, at least for now, no need to pay extra for sun beds, no waves.
Cons: everything else.
But from my observations, I can say that Istanbul is not for a beach holiday, there are simply no normal beaches, others are even worse - the entrance is more expensive, expensive and not high-quality food, the Turks are trying to get everything past the cash register, there are pickpockets, garbage everywhere, it's better not to go to the toilets at all. On the beaches of the Black Sea, everything is the same, but there are waves, because of which they very often raise a red flag and do not even let their feet wet, and it is still half a day to get to these beaches.
The beach is cool, cheap, August 2024 - 60 liras according to the transport card, sun beds and umbrellas are included, there is a toilet. You can't take food with you. The sea with algae
I really liked it, I recommend 👍 I needed a card 💳 to enter , the good Turks gave me their card, you pay for the entrance with 50 Turkish coins and swim all day
One of the advantages is the proximity to the city, the availability of sun beds and umbrellas, toilets and changing rooms. But dirt covers all the advantages. Instead of sand, there is a mixture of gobies and garbage, the coastal zone is not cleaned at all. The sea is blooming, it is unpleasant to enter the water, as well as to be in this place at all.
The beach location is good. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The changing booths are dirty. There are very few tables and chairs in the room itself, at least there are benches. The most important thing is that algae grow about 5 meters deep at the entrance to the sea. It's very unpleasant. Since I like to swim, I have to wade through the algae.
The fee of 60 liras is too high.
The beach is like a beach, but the water is covered in algae, the beach is dirty, at the entrance they look through bags for water and food. The bar is not very expensive, the water costs 15lir.
The cleanliness of the beach leaves much to be desired. Cigarette butts, lids and other waste float on the sand and in the water. The changing rooms smell of urine. It is better not to dive into the water - dirty water burns your eyes, although this is not observed on free beaches along the coastline.
At the same time, it is almost impossible to find a free sunbed. Employees do not distribute incoming streams and do not close the entrance if the beach is crowded. They search the entrance, they can confiscate food.
It's not worth your 30 lire. Go further along the coastline in any direction, even on the free wild beaches it will be much cleaner. I really don't understand what to pay for here, if they can't even clean the beach.
We were with my wife and son three times in early August 2020.
Among the advantages-it is convenient to get there, 15 minutes by train from the center and 5 minutes on foot. The payment of 25 lira per person is quite acceptable, but you can only pay by leaning against the Istanbul card turnstile. You can always find free sun beds under umbrellas. All of the advantages.
Cons (bold)!!!
1. Dirty on the beach. Cigarette butts and other garbage are probably in the order of things. It looked like it was just hovering over us.
2. It's too shallow and the buoys are stretched when the water is still only chest-deep. Of course, you can swim behind the buoys. The Turks are whistling, but you can ignore them.
3. And the most important joint. Not a sip of liquid or a crumb of food can be brought into the territory. The first time went somehow smoothly (I even had vodka in an army flask at the bottom of my backpack). Moreover, there are no ads anywhere and you just start being searched after passing the turnstile. The second time we already had a conflict, but we sort of broke up (again, I carried two cans of beer and a shawarma in the pockets of my backpack).
But today (for the third time) there was already a real kneading at the entrance. With screaming , pushing and pulling bags out of their hands. We were just outraged that some Muslims were climbing into our bags. In the Russian Federation, the police do not allow themselves to do this.
In general, decide for yourself.
It's a great neighborhood. Rich pitchforks. An elite and wealthy contingent. The cost of forks starts from 1 million dollars. Convenient transport accessibility. A magnificent sandy beach. What else is needed for a happy life.
It's a beautiful September. We went to Floria beach, confident that nothing would stop us from sunbathing and swimming at plus 24. It was not there: it was locked with all locks, white sand behind barbed wire. This is just nonsense.
Entrance is only paid. The entire beach is fenced with barbed wire. Free of charge only from the stones. When the confirmation is over.
I really wanted to swim in the Sea of Marmara, I had to go in from the rocks.
