This is an amazing, ancient place. Concerts are held in the temple every weekend during the summer season. There is an organ inside. I recommend everyone to go to their famous organist Luca Gadelia.

And there are always no tickets at the box office. In short, it was not possible to listen to the famous organ. We need to come up with something more understandable and transparent with tickets.

06/18/2023 became the owners of lucky tickets to the only concert "Dialogues of the Ages" in the temple of the 10th century. There was an apocalypse at the box office, there was even a fight!
The concert was amazing! I can't put it into words! And the violin, and the cello, and the organ, and the exclusive soprano! Of course, the ticket price is 1300 rubles, very low for such a mind-blowing concert!!! I want to believe that musicians get decent pay for their work!
Before the concert, the guide Marina told incredible historical facts about Pitsunda!
I strongly recommend everyone to attend the masterpiece concerts in the Pitsunda Temple!!!

Blessed Abkhazia. Pitsunda
In addition to the famous relict pine grove, there is another attraction in Pitsunda. This is a concert and organ hall in an ancient church.
The Orthodox church combines a monument of the Abkhazian school of Byzantine architecture of the 9th century and as a monument of Christian culture of the Abkhazian kingdom of the 8th-10th centuries
The building has been completely preserved in our time. The thickness of the walls is 1.5m. During the reconstruction, only the roof, windows and doors were repaired. The service took place until 1930. Then, as was the norm of that time, there was a warehouse, a club, a cinema in the temple. In the 70s, the elite resort of Pitsunda began to receive foreign tourists and decided to make a concert hall out of the temple.
In the 90s, the temple was opened as a concert and organ hall. The organ was bought in Potsdam and installed by German craftsmen.
The soft silvery timbre of the instrument combined with the strict architecture give the Pitsunda concert hall a special uniqueness.
Fragments of ancient frescoes have the audience in a romantic mood and a deep perception of the organ.

The church of the tenth century, this alone is impressive, because it witnessed half of the history of our era. It is now used as a concert hall. We got to the rehearsal, listened to the organ. The complex has a history museum, a dolmen and a small chapel where you can pray and light a candle.
