A wonderful place, with significant artists, the Vakhtangov Theater, the Cinema House, cozy cafes, restaurants, artists painting portraits, tenors singing opera, in which the atmosphere creates a wonderful atmosphere
Everything is great on the Arbat, but cyclists, scooters and cars do not allow you to fully relax. Cyclists and scooters do not follow the rules (ride on a special track), I'm going straight to the children. Cars near the Cone should be prohibited from entering at all. There are places nearby where you can park your car and walk 100m to the cafe. And so they also go to brazen, people are afraid to walk there normally.
Arbat, one of the most famous streets in Moscow, is a place where history meets modernity. Walking along the paved sidewalks, you can feel the spirit of the past, see ancient buildings and churches, as well as many shops, cafes and street musicians. This is a place where every stone seems steeped in history, and every turn of the street offers something new and interesting. The pedestrian Arbat is not just a street, it is a living gallery where everyone can find something for themselves, be it art, culture or just a pleasant pastime.
This is not Arbat at all. At all. No creativity, no places to walk, no good pedestrian zone with a comfortable surface.....Elm hedges, one pine tree, several urns claiming to be an art object, a garland with several glowing rows of light bulbs.....Everything.
We had a great walk along the Arbat with my husband. We listened to Yesenin's poems performed by a very enthusiastic young man, listened to live music.
Honestly, I didn't like it. There were special evenings, yes-lanterns, yes-a bunch of souvenir shops and cafes, yes-musicians sing for money, BUT there is no highlight. Those who visited Bauman in Kazan and Weiner in Yekaterinburg will understand what I mean. There are no sculptures, no space and scope, it's boring.
In Moscow on the Arbat for the second time. And every time he seems to be the same, and at the same time completely different! Words cannot describe him. He needs to be seen.An interesting place!
Of course, Arbat can be called a stretch and there are a lot of nuances, but it is clear that the city is trying and solving issues in stages. The fountain is missing, but it is around the corner opposite the Bakery
at 7 o'clock in the evening, it is dark, empty and cold, there is nothing to look at. Wild traffic jams to get to the center. At least there are no problems with parking around. It's more interesting in summer.
But unlike other cities, there is a warm toilet
