Minsk delighted and pleased. It was about 20 years ago. The city has changed. It was renovated and at the same time preserved all the memorable, significant, historical places. Cleanliness, neatness, New Year decorations... Yes, everything was good!!! The products are excellent, everything is fresh and of high quality, especially locally produced! The infrastructure was especially striking. The food is made from local products, but it is so deliciously cooked and beautifully served. Everything is offered for every taste and budget! I am very happy for Belarusians! Quiet, calm, measured.
I would not call this place a park. The recreation area is better suited. I like the benches on the opposite side of the library - you can drown in them and half-lie down. The bridge over the water is just a fairy tale, especially in the dark when the lights come on along the railing. The fountain on the water is also not bad. Cute ducks are swimming.
But there are also a lot of disadvantages. The main one is the huge parking lot at the library: it's just dangerous to walk there!!!! The pedestrian traffic pattern is completely ill-conceived. Cars drive as they want. A lot of drunk people in the evening. There is no passage along the water UNDER Independence Avenue (you have to make an arc through a pedestrian crossing that is very far from the library), And the reservoir itself is already quite dirty.
A wonderful, inspiring place, next to a huge library with a wonderful observation deck, we definitely recommend you to visit if you are interested in where you can walk around Minsk.
