I was lucky enough to have a rest in this wonderful hotel in September)

Location
The hotel is a 30-40-minute drive from Sochi Airport (both times it took 10 minutes to cross the border), at the very beginning of the Old Gagra.
Nearby are the fortress and the restaurant of the same name Abaata, the railway station Abaata, the abandoned shopping center Joekvara, the castle of Prince Oldenburg and the Seaside Park. Joequara has a couple of shops and a pharmacy. Gagripsh Restaurant is a 20-minute walk away.

The hotel is located on the 1st line, the passage to the beach to the left of the hotel, if you look at the sea. There is a heated swimming pool, cafes, fountains. Umbrellas, sun beds are free of charge, beach towels are provided. The territory is still being brought to mind - the hotel opened recently, in the summer of 2023.

I had a standard with a sea view, and it's just something - the view is amazing! Each room has a balcony with a table. Upon arrival, a surprise was waiting for me in the room - fruit and a bottle of champagne 🖤 Thank you!
There is air conditioning, mini fridge, slippers, bathrobes, bath towels, shower gel, shampoo. They replenish drinking water every day!
Everything in the room is clean, fresh, smells of new furniture.

Food
I took FB - full board. The food is not mega diverse, but everything is delicious. Someone wrote that there were not enough cutlery - there was no such thing with me. Once I was faced with the fact that there were no glasses - but they were quickly taken out. The waiters are responsive, smiling)

Most recently, we had a vacation with my husband at the Caucasus boarding house. Pros: the boarding house is only after renovation. Everything is clean, new, the territory is well maintained. Landscaping works are underway, but this does not interfere with vacationers in any way. Probably the biggest plus is the peace and quiet. There is no thundering music and noisy companies. A clean beach is within walking distance, there is a swimming pool, but we did not use it. The rooms are cleaned every day when there are no vacationers. The view from the window is wonderful, the sea, palm trees. Thank you very much, I would like to say to the employees of the canteen and the service staff. The food is delicious and varied. To choose from.. The tables were cleaned quickly. But it seems to me that when the hotel is full, there may be queues. We were lucky there weren't that many people. One of the disadvantages is a small parking lot for cars. Not all cars were placed in the parking lot, some were left behind the fence. There is a smell of sewage in the bathroom. And yet, there is not enough sports ground on the territory (exercise equipment, table tennis, etc.). And of course, think about how to entertain vacationers. Otherwise, the rest was a success. The 3-star hotel is still being completed, in the sense of being restored from the Soviet heritage. Therefore, not all processes are set up. Problems with card payments, as in the whole of Abkhazia, the saltwater pool does not work around the clock. There is a poor choice of dishes in the restaurant, although there are no complaints about the quality at all. There is no sandy beach, pebbles, which are hard to walk on.

The hotel is very well located, everything is nearby. It's boring, there's no animation.The cuisine is excellent and varied. Of course, the waiters fail, they are slow, they do not clean the table well, they rub all the tables with one unwashed rag. And everything would be fine, but the most important disappointment was the lack of an opportunity to open the window. There is no hood in the shower. There is a constant heavy smell in the room. The hotel is good. First line, clean beach, great pool. The territory is beautiful and palm trees, the rooms are good, the Swede is decent. Guides are sitting, just book excursions.
Cons: sheets without elastic bands wake up on a bare mattress. There is no entertainment at all.

There are not enough words to describe how much we liked this park hotel. The first time we were in Abkhazia, we did not know where to go, where it is better to rest. The hotel has a beautiful territory, a deep and warm swimming pool, very tasty and varied buffet food, a private beach with sun loungers and umbrellas, and the view from the rooms is simply space. All excursions can be purchased directly at the hotel, also this hotel is located in the heart of old Gagra, within walking distance of the Gagripsh restaurant, the Colonnade, the Seaside Park with a beautiful embankment and numerous cafes. The hotel is brand new, after renovation. We rested from 30.07 to 06.08 in room 408, but decided to extend it until 08.08 and this time we were accommodated in room 516.
Special thanks to all the receptionist girls at the reception. We will definitely come back here again.

We went on vacation in June 2023. I will try in detail, but briefly. The park hotel has been renovated, now it is in excellent condition. Everything is new inside!
About the room.
The door to the room opens with an electronic key. Everything in the room is new. Refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, hair dryer, heated towel rail, electric kettle. The room had a balcony with a table overlooking the sea. Bed linen is changed every 4 days, towels are available, bathrobe, slippers. Shampoo, gel, soap, toilet paper all give. Rooms are cleaned every day. There is an ironing room in the hotel. There is a bar. A swimming pool is being built, but alas, we did not wait, it was already at the final stage.
About the kitchen and dining room.
The buffet. There is a lot of choice. There is everything. The menu changes every day. Fruits, vegetables, pickles, sauces for every taste, pastries, coffee, tea, juices, milk, wine. Everything is very tasty)
The dining room is all new and large. There are powerful air conditioners. There is an opportunity to eat outside with a gorgeous view. The staff is very friendly.
The location of the hotel.
The geographical location of the hotel suited us perfectly. This is the old Gagra. And as it seemed to us, it is better than the new Gagra. It's quieter and quieter here. But the taste and color...
10 meters to the sea. Its own pebble beach, sun beds and umbrellas are free. Many attractions (railway station with a beautiful view, Prince of Oldenburg Castle, Abaat fortress, beautiful long embankment, park) are within walking distance.
The prices for excursions at the hotel turned out to be the cheapest (compared with prices in the city), we were very satisfied.
Of the cons 🤔
There are none. Well, the maximum you can pull by the ears is that the landscaping of the territory continues, but this did not stop us) and even for a turn it was interesting to watch how everything quickly changed from excellent to perfect shape) In general, we recommend it! Out of 5 possible points , I put 7 👍

At the reception, problems are not solved - the administrator Venus answers any question "come back later with a universal answer." There are no bathrobes and slippers declared in this category. We stayed at the hotel from January 31 to January 6. We expected more. The sediment from the stay remained unpleasant.
We have no questions about food, everything is very tasty, there were always enough appliances and plates, even if something was missing, the canteen staff reacted very quickly and corrected it. The only thing is fruits, there were very few of them (
A very unpleasant situation developed on New Year's Eve. On the evening before the New Year, it was possible to order room service for an additional fee. In order not to sit hungry on New Year's Eve, because dinner ends at 20:00, we decided to use this service. But when we came to order, we were told that orders were no longer accepted (although they were supposed to take another 2 hours), thereby leaving us just with an empty table in the New Year🤷♀️
We would like to say a huge thank you to the bartender in the lobby bar, a very understanding and customer-oriented guy. There are very few of them in this hotel.
The pool was very upset, it was stated that it was heated and this was our main criterion for choosing a hotel. But during the whole vacation we went into it 1 time, we were very cold and did not approach it anymore.
About the territory of the hotels. They did not understand why it was so dirty and unkempt, broken glass was lying under the dining room windows all the time, and apparently they will be lying there for a long time.
And let's move on to the most interesting thing, this is the number. Our room was on the ground floor, almost next to the dining room. The first days, as in a children's camp, we had a table football right under the door. I think everyone can imagine what kind of noise was right under the door of our room. Not only does everyone walk past us into the dining room, but they also made a play area. Thanks for fixing this in the middle of the vacation.
The bed linen was simply disgusting, the cheapest synthetics, it was very unpleasant to sleep, from the slightest movement we found ourselves on a bare mattress.
During the entire stay, they never cleaned properly, the bed linen was not changed. It happened that the towels were taken away, but new ones were not put in.
It would be nice to put coolers on the floor, because sometimes they forgot to put water and 0.5 per person per day is of course very little.
As soon as we arrived, there were problems with electricity, they were turned off several times. As for the water, there were also interruptions, it happened that I went into the shower, but there was no hot water. On the first day, when I decided to take a shower, I realized that the drain was completely clogged, because the water did not leave at all.
There were also problems with the TV, terrible interference, which we first tried to fix on our own, because we thought that it was everywhere because of the power outage. Wi-Fi is very weak.But it turns out there were some problems with our outlet. I do not understand why the rooms are not checked before the arrival of the guests. Well, or they check, but they just forget about solving problems…
And now I'm coming to something without which I wouldn't have sat down to write this review at all, but the reception staff just forced me. Very, very forgetful girls or engineers, we did not find out this point.
As soon as we checked in, there was a problem with the night curtains in our room - the cornice was broken. The curtains just flew off the hinges when you try to close them (in the evening, of course, I wanted to close them, because we lived on the 1st floor) And here I again do not understand why this was not checked before the arrival of the guests. Why do guests have to suffer and run after engineers during their holidays so that they solve their problem? By the way, engineers have a very short working day. Although with the number of problems that the hotel has, they must be on site around the clock.
The first time an engineer came to us, he suffered for a long time, just hung the curtains on the ledge, and left with a calm soul. Of course, when we came to the room, we started to close them and they fell down again)))
The next day, we asked to clean the room and just sort out the curtain while we were gone. Arriving in the evening, we see a very unpleasant picture, they did not clean up, and they did not sort out the curtains (only 1 curtain was removed and taken away). In the evening, of course, the engineers are no longer working, we are offered to move to another room. We did not agree, because we were very tired that day and we did not want to carry things back and forth (who knows what problems awaited us in another room). And they promised us that they would fix it the next day (they would change the cornice). That day we left early in the morning and arrived only at night. We didn't even doubt that they had managed to solve our problem in a day, just to change the cornice and what was our surprise when we saw that THEY JUST SCORED ON US, they didn't even try to do anything. We also have one curtain hanging on several hinges, and the second one is not at all. The next day we left. This whole situation has just crossed out all the positive emotions regarding your hotel.
Five for the kitchen and beautiful nature, shame on everything else! Of course, we will not recommend this hotel to anyone!

We welcome all those planning a vacation in Abkhazia! And we share our impressions about our visit to the Caucasus! In short: delight and pleasure! At the same time, it would be unfair to name their specific individual reasons, to single them out. I think, in our case, everything coincided at THAT VERY moment: a special weakness and love for old Gagra, the September soft sun and the magnificent sea, a rare opportunity to be alone after a hectic working year and the eternal Moscow race "for despicable metal", and the inevitable for these places heartfelt nostalgia for the Soviet era. For 2 years in a row, we stayed in the neighboring Sunrise Garden and, walking along the deserted beach, watched the sad version of the closed "Caucasus", in which the former luxury was guessed, imagined, fantasized about his former merits and the active bustling life of vacationers of the Soviet period, found old photos on the web, articles and sketches....And so... in the 23rd he was reborn! Not immediately and not completely believing the advertising on the web, we decided: this is a sign!) and they risked making sure of everything personally. We arrived at around 4 a.m. and parked at the fence near the main entrance gate, where, in fact, our car stood for the entire week of rest. With official parking ON the territory of the park hotel, the scheme is very complicated, almost a quest)) but we have never felt any inconvenience about this. The question is your attitude to such trifles. You either look for them and naturally find them; or you don't pay attention to them and get high from the global!) It is presented here in an assortment: the first coastline, the beach and the outdoor pool, a transfer team that delivers guests to and from the spa, its own excursion guru, a variety of decent cuisine, a sincere bartender on the second floor of the main hotel rest, cozy furniture and decor in recreation areas and of course brand new comfortable rooms! A special surprise awaited us with the last one! By a happy coincidence (or by a special idea of the hotel management), instead of the reserved standard, we got a panoramic deluxe with a huge terrace! Oh, yes! It was a very pleasant surprise! Kavkaz has a huge respect for him! I'm sure the entire room stock is made at a decent level, but ours is definitely the best! Tea station, brand new furniture, excellent textiles, huge shower, relax mattress, everything is just super! Caring maids, daily replenishment of hygiene supplies, bathrobes, slippers, cloths...In short, everything you need for a comfortable stay is organized and works like clockwork. Definitely, Kavkaz is still continuing its transformation and landscaping (locally unfinished works can be guessed on the territory and in the main building), but it already knows how and wants to please its guests! We do not seek to be advisers, rather, we will leave a friendly wish to the Caucasus: to replenish the arsenal of sun loungers and umbrellas (there are definitely fewer of them than vacationers so far). And for the rest, the management and the Kavkaz team are handsome and great fellows! Keep it up ! Thanks for a great vacation! Natalia and Dmitry are already waiting for new meetings.

Mom was vacationing at this hotel in September 2024, I am writing a review from her words.
She booked a room with two separate beds, this is fundamentally important. As a result, they were given a room with one bed, explaining that everything was already occupied. The question of why then give a choice when booking remains open.
The room was cleaned very poorly, the furniture is covered with a layer of dust. Towels have not been changed once in a week (!)
The water in the rooms stopped being given after a couple of days.
In the dining room, the waiters are very nice, friendly, try very hard and work quickly, but the food is monotonous (the same thing three times a day all week, tasteless). There was a big shortage of cutlery and mugs, I even had to take my mug from the room to get it during lunch.
My impressions are extremely vague, I cannot recommend the Kavkaz Hotel.

Nice rooms, close to the sea, great beach. Beautiful reception. As for food and dining. It's just not respect for the guests and horror. From food: cabbage in all kinds, namely sea, stewed, broccoli . Potatoes for garnish were given 2 times in 7 days. The children had nothing to eat. I leave a review about the hotel "Park Otelkavkaz". We rested from 31.12.2023 to 04.01.2024. A company of 10 people. Always at our request, when booking early, we write to place on the same floor, the first time, to put it mildly, we were ignored. Although in the applications they wrote by name with whom to place next to, and that this is fundamental for us. In detail:- About the pros and cons.
From the good:- The location is excellent. The sea is within walking distance, the park area is beautiful and large. There is a place to walk. Since the hotel is located away from the road, it is quite comfortable. By the hotel. It is clear that they are trying to refine and modernize the hotel. But it's still a long way from being well-groomed both inside and out. There are no complaints about nutrition. In terms of maintenance, we may have been unlucky. But to say that it was a weak C-grade is not to say anything.We asked for an upper floor with a sea view when booking early. Two-room deluxe. In fact, we were placed on the 2nd floor with a side view. When I asked for a replacement number, we were informed that we have a 100% load and we can't help you in any way. And you already have an "upper floor", not the first one.
The second one is already the upper one. In 4 days, we have never been cleaned. All that was done was to put towels on the bed and take out the trash. In other rooms (our friends didn't have that either), they took out the trash themselves. With a request to bring a shower detergent, we did not wait for him. Bed linen, this is generally a separate story. It's terrible. It's worth moving and you're already sleeping on the mattress. A double bed, in fact, two half-tables shifted. On the flights of stairs, bedding was lying around for two days in a row (apparently this is how it is), the first floor is all in the persistent smell of the kitchen. There is no spa in the hotel. We need to go to the nearby Amra Hotel. The pool is large, but not warm. For swimming, the temperature is not comfortable in winter. And it is located away from the hotel. NOTHING from entertainment. In addition, you can go to the "type of restaurant" on the territory in the evening. Listen to music. We organized paid excursions. And we just went to restaurants in the evening of other hotels. Will we come to this hotel again? No. WE LOVE ABKHAZIA VERY MUCH. Gagra is our favorite city. And we were lucky that we started with other hotels. After this hotel, there was an unpleasant aftertaste. Honestly, when I got home, I didn't even want to write anymore. But I think it might be useful for someone. I'll give the kitchen a five. The chefs are great. Cleaning is TERRIBLE. Discussion at the reception, no comments. Forgetful, you need to be reminded 100 times. My friends have not waited for the TV remote control for 4 days. We had a rest in September 2023 in the building of the Coastal Park of the Kavkaz Hotel. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The first line; the sea is clean; the beach is pebbly, so it's better to move around in slippers; sun loungers and umbrellas are already included in the price; there is no congestion of the beach people, compared to Adler; there is a swing with a view of the sea; there is a pool with warm water; three meals a day are included in the price, the food is delicious, thanks to the cook!there are a lot of fruits and pastries; there were not always enough cups in the morning, it was necessary to wait; there are bathrobes and slippers in the rooms; our room was not cleaned every day; towels and linen are replaced after 4 days; the atmosphere in the hotel is very pleasant; there are shops nearby, a pharmacy; but there is a construction site nearby.

The hotel is closed for renovation until May 1st!!!! Be careful when booking. I don't understand why the website doesn't mention this anywhere, and the booking dates are open? We booked a room from April 13th to April 23rd. We made an advance payment. And then the manager calls us back and says that the hotel will be renovated before May 1. They offered us accommodation at the AMZA l partner hotel in the Novaya Gagra area for this money. This is completely different!!!! The proposed hotel is located in the city, surrounded by high-rise buildings, street noise, and two roads. Staraya Gagra, where we wanted to go, is a completely different area. As a result, we had to cancel the reservation. We are waiting for a refund. A very unpleasant aftertaste remained. I hope this is not done on purpose to load another hotel with guests. Upset is not the right word. I decided to write a review so that other tourists would not get into the booking.

We had a rest in this hotel from 12/31/23 to 01/04/2014 with a company of 10 people. Booked and paid for 2 months earlier.A terrible hotel is an understatement, it all started with check-in, at the reception we were settled on different floors from 1 to 5, although always in other hotels, including in Abkhazia, they always went to meet us and settled on the same floor. We were accommodated on the 1st floor near the reception, it's a terrible courtyard, screams, noise. In the lobby near our room, the rest of the vacationers set up tables and celebrated the holiday right there, noise, noise, screams, music. The reception staff is incompetent. We will never go there again and I do not advise others. Some kind of eatery, not a park hotel, as they position themselves.

A brand new hotel.
Everything is convenient. The rooms have everything you need: comfortable beds, air conditioning, TV, mini fridge, safe (free of charge), hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, good bed linen, electric kettle, tea, sugar, cups, water (0.5 b per person every day).
If with a balcony + sea view, then the room is 12 m2, small, but for 2 people it is normal, a lot of all sorts of bedside tables, lockers, everything is convenient and does not interfere at all. The view is gorgeous on the sea (it's worth sacrificing the extra meters).
The restaurant is very well furnished and comfortable. There are shortcomings in the buffet service, but everything is solvable. Delicious food, if you get bored, there is always an alternative nearby.
There is a bar and a cafe on the beach.
Nice pool.
Large beach area, umbrellas, tables, sun beds (all free of charge).
The purest sea!!!
Beautiful territory (closed), 2 fountains.
The location is perfect!
I recommend. We will be happy to go again!

Alcohol, bar for a fee. They don't even give coffee at lunch.
Disappointment.

We rested from 07/14.23 to 07/21.23 with my husband at the Kavkaz hotel, we took a ticket on a residual basis because we gathered spantano, we were surprised that we got into such a chic hotel. The hotel is located on the first line , its own beach, the room turned out to be on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the sea, everything is perfectly clean, the bed linen is snow-white, the furniture is new , towels for the body, face, legs, and even beach towels are changed every day, as well as everything for the shower (gel, shampoo), hair dryer , refrigerator in the room.
One hundred percent service, friendly staff explain everything well. The food is varied and very tasty (buffet) They pour wine for dinner . There are also fruits, nuts and juices. The beach is clean, sun loungers are free, and there is also a large heated swimming pool on site
. The hotel is for a measured, relaxing holiday, there is no fuss, loud music. If someone needs to have fun, then you can go not far from the hotel to the embankment there is live music.My husband and I are very happy. Thank you very much to all the hotel staff for their hospitality.

• The hotel has its own beach, only hotel visitors go. But there are not always empty seats.
• There is also a swimming pool, but many functions that should work (an artificial waterfall or a water massager) either do not work at all, or one thing works.
• There are local animals, very kind and friendly creatures.
Unfortunately, everything is on the plus side((
• Upon arrival at the hotel, no one explains anything, we stood at the reception for a long time waiting for the visitors who get in to ask all their questions. After that, they just quickly explained to the tired head, gave a piece of paper with repeated information and let them sail freely.
• The rooms are extremely uncomfortable, yes there is a TV and air conditioning, a toilet with a shower together you can not breathe without farting. The water overflows and can even wipe the room. But the sink is separate, which is not so clear. There is no dryer in the rooms, I had to hang it on the balcony. The small battery in the toilet-shower did not dry at all. Also, not everything has been completed in the rooms yet, it seems that the most important thing has been set and it is faster to pass.
• Food is a separate type of quest.
We went in for the first time, not knowing what and how, took the plates properly and got in line. So a couple of people flew in just like that, took what they needed and ran on, looked around and saw that most of them were doing this.
In general, everything looks like an old canteen, although earlier I think it was more cultured and tastier. Half of the food is either bland or simply treasured.

• A taxi that is called at the reception is something with something, they say 10-15 minutes, you can wait 30-45 and it is not clear whether the truth is there is trouble on the roads, or the administrators do not call immediately.
• The nearest shops and Pharmacies are also not very encouraging, prices are too high, not everything is there, and payment in products can be in cash or by card. There are no transfers, they say that they do not use cards. The pharmacy accepts cash only.
• It is better not to take excursions at the hotel, the price tag is higher than the rest, we went and compared them.
• Wi-Fi and TV are terrible, the signal is bad, interruptions are constant.

Were from 30.10.2023 to 03.11.2023. Double room 26000 breakfast, lunch, dinner. The room has bathrobes, slippers, towels, shampoo, soap, shower gel, hairdryer, kettle, water. For some reason there was no toilet paper and it was not put in all the time. There is no ventilation in the bathroom. There are no baseboards on the floor, plaster is visible, repairs are not completed in the room. The food was delicious. Breakfast is usually omelet, scrambled eggs, sausages, sausages, mannikin, anthill, salads, vegetables and fruits. For lunch - potatoes, cutlets, chops.
There is a heated swimming pool. There is a restaurant on site with affordable prices.
