A large historical park on an artificial lake, beautiful architecture. I would hardly have returned a second time because there are a lot of visitors, an endless stream, and in such a place it is good to sit in silence in nature, feed fish or ducks.
if in doubt, do not hesitate, you must definitely go)
a beautiful place for walking, we started from the northern gate (usually a taxi is brought there), if that was all, then I would already be happy with the trip))) there are ascents: high stairs, stones, you can look at buildings from different levels. there is a gazebo closer to the pond, there are small eateries next to the pond, it smells very strongly of fried tofu).
there are many souvenirs and those ice cream cones in the shape of towers, with which they are photographed. you can go boating. look carefully at what is above you, for sure there is some kind of painted beauty!
we were on Monday, something is not working at this time (so the ticket is cheaper), but I do not regret the trip at all.
there are a lot of locals, you can take a tour guide, they offer services at the entrance (we walked like this). close to the zoo, then you can go there.
A gorgeous park with a huge territory, many interesting locations, an excellent summer palace of the emperor. There is an opportunity to walk through all this splendor with your feet or take a boat ride and see everything from the outside. Easily accessible by subway, the nearest station is Beigongmen.
Plan for a visit of at least 3-4 hours
I was in this park in the winter of 2024, before the Chinese New Year. I still advise you to visit there in the summer. My wife was delighted with the summer walk. Many locations are closed in winter. Summer tea shops and cafes are closed. The pond in the park freezes over and residents ride on it on hand-powered sleds and all sorts of outlandish devices. For some reason, they don't much prefer skates. There are a lot of people. To visit open locations, you need to purchase a ticket, the cost depends on what you want to visit. There is a kiosk near the ticket offices where you can rent an audio guide in Russian.
A very large-scale beautiful place. It is necessary to gain strength and try to bypass at least the nearest locations to the entrance, a boat trip is also necessary to understand the entire volume of the territory
The Summer Imperial Palace is a unique place in Beijing. The huge lake is surrounded by temples. A gallery with a length of 728 connecting different structures to each other. This gallery is a corridor decorated with 1400 paintings. You can take shelter from the sun and admire the views of the lake. A Chinese man writing your name on the asphalt. Chinese women in beautiful traditional outfits at photo shoots in the park. The Summer Palace is the place where you should definitely visit when you are in Beijing. To soak up the architecture and nature and fauna of China, then this is where you are.
It is very beautiful and atmospheric. A huge territory. Unfortunately, we couldn't walk around everything, and the boats didn't work. There are a lot of stairs, just like everywhere else. We spent the whole day in the park. It is convenient to get to. Metro. Clean, everything is clear.👍
A large area. There is a place to roam , and what to see. There is a large lake, there is a boat rental. You can also take a bigger boat ride. Entrance to the sub palace is for an additional fee. Good locations for photos. In general, I liked it.
Awesome Many Chinese consider this place to be the most beautiful in Beijing. Mountains, forest, lake system, flowers... There is a place to walk and something to see. The only negative is that there are a lot of people on a day off.
We got to the summer palace during the Chinese weekend, so there were a lot of people in the park. It's too crowded.
The park itself is very large
I would like to visit it again, go boating, go around the entire park, get a better look at the sights themselves and climb up to the summer palace itself, which this time did not work out
A very beautiful park. Large-scale and beautiful. It just takes a few hours to walk. If you walk around the lake, you can take a walk all day. The beautiful buildings are perfectly preserved.
It's worth visiting at least once. You can take an interactive guide, but you can not take it, because everything he tells you you will immediately forget. The Summer Palace Park is not a place for solitude and easy carefree walking, in some places the number of visitors will be comparable to the Moscow metro during rush hour. But there is something to see, artifacts from the time of the emperor, seals, scrolls. Palaces, in the narrowest sense, i.e. the scope and size is not very impressive. It was required by the decree of the emperor to legalize the yellow color for tiles, a color as if for representatives of the authorities, and this is not even gilding. Naturally, something is mostly new. You can take a ride on a pleasure ferry on the lake.
There are a lot of people. The park is pleasant for a walk. There is no point in taking an audio guide, the story is not very interesting (unless you know the history of China very deeply, then it may be interesting).
A stunning place, steeped in history and natural beauty! I recommend visiting obligatorily! I got there almost at sunset and this view of the sun setting on the fountain will remain in my memory forever
An iconic place in China, I recommend you to visit it, and do not forget your passport, tickets will be sold only with it, you can go boating, from above there is a gorgeous view of Beijing.
A pleasant place for walking. A large number of people were struck in the early morning. We walked for 3 hours, but you can walk much more. Interesting architecture and plaques on trees with their age. Trees with props are also interesting.
A good place to visit. You can limit yourself to just an entrance ticket and spend almost the whole day here. We were in winter, but it was still beautiful and interesting.
A very beautiful park, created in the likeness of the southern parks of China of the early dynasties! Just deja vu... especially if you were there three days ago :)
I really liked it. We were on a weekday, but there were a lot of people. There are a lot of people everywhere in China. Despite the congestion, it is very clean and beautiful.
