A great park in good weather. It's very beautiful there. We went after the Forbidden City, it's not far at all. There are interesting shops in the park where you can put seals or make a set of postcards yourself.

A beautiful park with stunning views in the center of Beijing, at the top of the park there is a White Pagoda, a Buddhist temple that was built in 1279 during the Yuan Dynasty. Beihai Park is one of the oldest parks in China. It is very pleasant to walk here on a hot day, hiding from the heat in the shade of the trees and enjoying the special atmosphere of this place.

It's a pity that it's paid - you can't just come for a walk whenever you want, but the entrance cost 10 yuan, if I'm not mistaken (without entering the tower), so I can't say that it's expensive.
