I stayed at this hotel from August 15th to August 23rd, 2024. Unfortunately, there were no other accommodation options, so I had to stay in a room with partial amenities. However, despite this, I liked everything.
The food was top notch, and the buffet provided a variety of dishes. In addition, the beach was only a couple of minutes away. The nature in this place is simply amazing, and I was able to enjoy my vacation and improve my health.
If economy class rooms are not suitable for someone, then the hotel has more comfortable options.

Remember, the stereotype that abroad is better than in Russia has long been outdated. Our country has had better infrastructure and service for a long time. In Pitsunda, in many places, they do not even accept a card, I am generally silent about the payment in touch. There are many destroyed buildings from the USSR and peeling buildings. Ruins in one word.
When I entered the corridors of this sanatorium, the shock had already begun, just peeling corridors. And then no miracles happened: everything was in the same style.
A couple of positive things: there is a buffet in the dining room. No frills, but still Swedish. I liked tea the most. It is the tea of the Soviet dining room.
About the sea. Yes, it is cleaner than on the beaches of resort towns in Russia. But if you walk 200m to the side, then the water there is also less clean and the advantage of the sea of Abkhazia is no longer so great. And if you go to remote beaches, then there is not much difference at all. One more thing: for the first time at sea I met with a strong current. On the beach in the sanatorium, if you sail away from the shore by 2m, then you will unrealistically start to drift away. This is the first time at sea.
Yes, there is clean air in Pitsunda, there are tall trees that we do not have. Clear sea. But... I don't want to go to Abkhazia anymore.

It's a great place! This year, everything is just great! The sea is 28 degrees, The purest!!! The bottom is visible at 3.5 meters, how do you like it?! It wasn't too hot before the rain. I never cease to be surprised by such Pines, Eucatiates, Palm trees, Cypresses and the atmosphere of relaxation and comfort! The building is really in disrepair and is just falling apart.
The sink fell off in the room. They turned off the water in the room, took away the sink and said that there were facilities on the floor. This is a separate story.
Respect yourself, don't go there.

I don't know what inspires people here who give 5 stars to this place.
For me, the breath here does not match the promises from the package.
The food in the dining room is just disgusting, the only thing I can note as edible is the casserole.
The service is unpleasant , people convey their dislike of visitors as much as possible .
Problems with electricity and water are generally a separate topic.
In Russia, it would be possible to somehow draw the attention of the administration to such problems , then you can forget everything just shrug your shoulders)
So think twice before you go on vacation in Abkhazia)

To say that this is darkness is to say nothing. I was ready for the bad rooms, the average meal in the dining room. But I did not expect that I would still be rude. The transfer is terrible, after the flight I had to wait for the driver to rest for an hour and we would go. Deep into the night for a second! Shouldn't your guest rest?
The maid in the hotel on the third floor is a separate surprise. She told me that I often go back and forth and that I am 'so rich' to live in another boarding house. And I just asked if she vacuums or sweeps.
In fact, there is no cleaning, as there was before, so it remained after. Water is pouring out of the shower from all the cracks.
Guys, stay in Sochi. You are not welcome in Abkhazia. They are not even ready to make minimal repairs and cleanliness. They immediately show their dislike for the guests.

It's about as if you cooked the first meal, salad, and second compote for 2 weeks. And eat it for 14 days. Difficult. We ate meat and salad (cutlets, liver, chicken ventricles) . I had a rest in July 2022. Pros : the sea is 10 steps away, gorgeous dairy products in the diet, WiFi is flying! A balcony with a wonderful view, mmmm! I had the 12th floor. The elevators are quite normal, large halls. Very tasty coffee and cheap wine and fruits on site, next to the building. Dolphins every day, as ordered! The intoxicating healing air! Friendly staff everywhere. Cons: it's a little cramped in the room, I can't imagine how you can turn around together there...Terribly old carpet, all stained and so on. I couldn't walk on it without slippers, no way. The absence of a conder did not bother, it blew well through the opening above the door :)). I've never queued in the shower or the toilet.The water pressure was excellent, it was always hot. But! I was probably just lucky, because I'm sorry, there are only 2 floors on the whole floor!!! shower cabins (they are shared, by the way))))). The toilet is the same crap, it's good though male and female are still separate. In general, they are normal, but it depends on what kind of money you give for a ticket. What is the most important thing in Abkhazia - Nature! A unique place, a long sandy Galich beach. There are all amenities and entertainment. You can choose both crowded places and secluded "back streets ". There are free sun beds for guests staying at the hotel. For those who want to have a snack on the beach, a quiet corn patch, etc. in short, come, relax, sunbathe, do not worry about the service... He's not here, but everyone is happy.

With all the amenities, so to speak, it just sucks. The toilet is broken, dirty, the bathroom is terrible, it's scary to take a shower in your hands, woodlice crawl around the bathroom. The rooms are not cleaned at all. When we arrived, there was no toilet paper or soap, I told the maid, figs...I had to buy it myself. The towel does not change. Canteen......it was good for the first two days, until we realized that we were eating the same thing. There is no variety, every day is like Groundhog Day. The food is not tasty, terrible. The pasuda is not washed, greasy, because of this, people are full of rotovirus. Entertainment for children is at a low level. In general, this is the most terrible place where we rested!I do not recommend it at all!!!Most importantly, wi-fi is not everywhere here. We didn't have a room, we went out into the corridor to talk, which is extremely inconvenient.

We had a rest in August 2023. The sea certainly pleased us. There were good people. They put us in the 7th building on the 13th floor. We have an economy without amenities (do not take it). Air conditioning should be everywhere, but it's stuffy. We went into a dirty room, I can't write the number. They dusted themselves...they created comfort with cones and shells. These buildings are old. They generally need to be closed and repaired. The elevator often broke down, and we lived on the 13th floor. There were problems with cold water, it's fun in the heat. Do not take at least high floors. Let it be modest, but clean! We are shocked! Maybe many years ago it was not bad, but in 2023, close and repair! Such conditions are for people.

An old Soviet hotel of the late 70s and that says it all... Everything is old, everything is falling apart before our eyes.. The room has a refrigerator, air conditioning, TV, bath, toilet. The water pipes sing beautifully, the technical hatch is neatly open and does not close (we ourselves sealed it with tape, otherwise who knows who lives there). Mold feels comfortable in the air conditioner, it is better not to turn it on... Of the advantages: wardrobe, refrigerator, WiFi, view from the window. But since the electricity is very often turned off (they got stuck in the elevator because of this), it remains to enjoy the closet and the sea view)) the feeling of disgust did not leave us until we left, it is impossible to get used to it.. An announcement has been prudently placed at the reception that money will not be refunded for premature departure! We came to the room only to spend the night, change clothes, and wash... Nutrition is a separate topic.. Buffet, there was no stomach upset even once, but the gag reflex was a couple of times from the cutlets, I got a bone... In general, it is necessary to eat there with caution... I do not recommend this hotel, avoid it... It's better in a tent...

we had a rest in July 2023, the Amzara building, room 404, a terrible room, dirty, shabby, complete unsanitary conditions, no cleaning was done, the staff was not friendly. The food in the dining room is a buffet, monotonous, you will not stay hungry. Prices in cafes located on the territory are simply huge, as well as in small shops for various goods. The territory of the boarding house is not well maintained, there are many ruined buildings. The sea is warm, but there are a lot of jellyfish. The sunbathing area is dirty, not aligned. In general, I will not recommend this boarding house to anyone and I will not go myself in the future. Administration: is it really impossible to slowly refine the territory, improve conditions for vacationers. A lot of vacationers come, but there is NO service. I do not recommend this RESORT to anyone.

I had a rest in September 2022. Not the best building in the defense industry of Pitsunda.
The main nuance is that somewhere from 19 to 24 a disco will scream at the windows and you can't do anything about it, just close the windows. It was good that the air conditioner was in order not to suffer from the heat.
The number is quite "killed". There was a carpet with some stains on the floor. There was a hole in the tile in the bathroom. Cleaning was reduced to taking out the garbage, there was no question of any replacement of linen / towels.
Another disadvantage is the building farthest from the entrance. Almost a kilometer is added to a walk to the market, for example.
The food was also on the top three.
In general, if you do not overestimate expectations, you can live. The Pitsund nature and the sea somehow smooth out all these nuances.

5 only for nature and those who had to be treated, very nice people. We have been coming for the third year, once again nature , close location to the sea. Every year I notice that it gets worse. At least something could be repaired, given the flow of tourists during the season. The dining room is a separate topic, it seems that they cook for dogs that walk down the street or for pigs. I'm not a cook, but I can't make cutlets with a piece of something incomprehensible, even I can. For a week of rest this year, only apples are made of fruits!!! Did you run out of fruit? There has been some more variety in the past 2 years, but this year . We checked in, the maid asked us 3 times when we were leaving, it took 5 days for the bed linen and towels to be changed only after I asked her a question about it. It turns out that she recorded when we were leaving and forgot to record when we checked in.
It's sad, but next year we'll probably have to look for a new vacation spot.
If the administration reads this: TAKE CARE of the SERVICE, SPECIAL CUISINE, people come to you with money and relax for money, I would like to receive for this money not water instead of soup and a cutlet instead of a piece of something incomprehensible and wash and sleep in normal conditions.

Great place! As if I turned out to be a child, everything is exactly as it was in kindergarten, well, in a children's pioneer camp in the early 90s: the same interiors, the same furniture, fountains on the street, a canteen, elevators, and much more! In general, the staff is very friendly and everything you need to relax is there! The dining room is excellent and there is always a choice of dishes. The sea is just bombastic, the room has an air conditioner that helps a lot when it's above 30 degrees outside, they say that there are renovated rooms, but I don't care about it, I came to the sea and nature and not to lie in the room for gray days. We really like it here now. Evening animation is generally cool, there is yoga and aerobics in the mornings.

I've been wanting to relax in Pitsunda for a long time. I knew in advance that the boarding houses were of old construction, and that my room had no amenities. I was not afraid that the toilet and shower were on the floor, and not in the room. And I seemed to be mentally ready, but it turned out that I was wrong. Arriving late in the evening, after putting the children to bed, I went to inspect the floor. My thoughts are: God, where did I bring the children?! The doors in the toilet do not close, they just do not fit into the opening - they are plastered all over the canvas. The showers are covered in black mold. Along the corridor, the floor is covered with carpet, which has stretched over time and now lies like an accordion. The faucet was dripping in the room.
Canteen. Yes, we were fed three times a day. And it seems to be a buffet, but do not expect that it will be like in Turkey, Tunisia... The usual food. Side dishes: pasta, boiled potatoes, stewed potatoes, buckwheat, pilaf-type rice (but without meat), stewed cabbage. They mainly include cutlets and their varieties such as hedgehogs, a couple of times fish. Chicken heart in sauce, chicken stomachs in sauce, small-sized chicken (mainly breast and backs) are also in sauce. At lunch, there are usually two types of soup (pea, pickle, cabbage soup, vermicelli) or soup and broth. Bread and a roll of pastry with jam are baked by themselves. A couple of times there were fruits (watermelon, pear, apples) For breakfast, omelette, porridge, casserole (a mixture of semolina and cottage cheese), pancakes. I personally had no conflicts with the staff. The room was cleaned, we had a wonderful maid. The furniture and mattresses are in good condition. A wardrobe, a couple of small shelves, but there are only two hangers, although the wardrobe is designed for hanging on hangers.
On the positive side, of course, it is the sea and nature. The sea is clean, the beach is pebbly with a small amount of pebble "sand". The pines are big and majestic, you feel like an ant walking among them. And their smell, mmm. In general, as my friend said, look for positive moments, you only need to spend the night in the room. ))) Walk, swim, breathe!!! Is that why you came here?
