This is the second time in Unawatuna, we visit this cafe often. The food is very tasty: there are a lot of shrimps in the soup, grilled red perch, fried shrimps, sandwiches - everything is great!!! Yes, it takes a little longer to cook, but the quality and taste of the food are worth it!
A warm homely atmosphere. A warm and friendly host who knows the history of Russia and cultural figures very well. Laxman conducted a tour of his site, showed peacocks, showed porcupines in the evening, and before sunset took us from his site to the cliffs, from where we had a stunning view of the ocean. Such a small kingdom where we were allowed to watch the magnificent sunset.
It's called a restaurant, but it's not even a cafe. Yes, the place is beautiful, far from the main tourist road, animals have not been seen, but they are in the area (seen repeatedly). Here are all the advantages. Now the cons. The tables are covered with time-worn tablecloths with holes, untidy. Now about nutrition. We ordered tom yam and noodles with vegetables, fresh pineapple. I've never eaten such bad dishes! Tom yam looks like porridge (overboiled cloudy broth with boiled noodles, zero spices, unpeeled shrimp with heads). In the second dish, spaghetti with some kind of incomprehensible burnt roast, only onions and a few pieces of some vegetable from vegetables (did not understand what). In general, we had to eat what the old Lankan served us, because he was the only one of the staff. They left half-starved, disappointed! We used to eat at a nearby restaurant, but since it wasn't working at that time, and we were on a long tour, hungry and tired, we just didn't go anywhere. I do not recommend it! Wasted time and money!
A very pleasant place and the owners. They have their own garden, where porcupines and mongooses come, he feeds them.
Here you can have a delicious and inexpensive meal. You can eat on the veranda on the 2nd floor. I recommend this place.
