A gorgeous art gallery. The central place of the gallery is occupied by a hall with paintings by Aivazovsky. 21 canvases in perfect condition. It turns out that the Turkish sultan was in love with Aivazovsky's work. I specially ordered paintings from Aivazovsky with the ships of the Turkish fleet. Knowing this passion, the Russian emperor presented Aivazovsky's paintings to the Sultan. The paintings depict the ships of the Turkish navy in their greatness and in victories over enemies. Turkish ships in the paintings are defeating British, French and other ships. But there is not a single picture of a battle with Russian ships. Aivazovsky's neutral position. A beautiful gallery. I recommend an examination.

A museum with a small collection of paintings by conventional standards. The most worthwhile thing is the whole hall of Aivazovsky's paintings, why so many of his works and how our famous marine artist is connected with Istanbul can be easily found on the Internet. In the rest of the halls there are sultans and local views mostly, but in general it is quite possible to spend an hour and a half. Of the cons, there are a lot of caretakers who walk and shout in the Photo. A big plus is a life hack for those who want to see the Dolmabahce Palace itself - there is no queue at the gallery's ticket office and you can buy a basic ticket to the palace and harem without standing in line for a long time. There is also a beautiful gate on the territory with access to the Bosphorus, and there will definitely be a queue of those who want to take an instafoto. In general, the place is worth a visit.
