The Okhtarsky rock monastery is located near the trout farm.It is divinely beautiful there, especially near the monastery itself.Near the monastery itself there is a river, the water in which is holy and healing. No one knows how plausible this belief is, there are guesses, but scientists have not proven it.I highly recommend visiting these places with a guide. The impressions are the most incredible and pleasant.
From this observation deck, you can see the rocky monastery. The nature around is gorgeous. We enjoyed walking. Parking 200₽ near the entrance. Passage through a semi-abandoned trout farm
You should not go to this place separately. On the way, nature is beautiful, but mountain rivers are everywhere on the territory of Abkhazia. We paid 200 rubles for the parking lot - we did not understand in honor of what ... Because there was a "repair" of the trout farm, then the entrance was free for us. If it is paid, who will go there?
Waterfalls, a bubbling river, streams, a rocky monastery, a trout farm, some old manor house and a riot of greenery. I liked it more than Lake Ritsa. And there are practically no visitors. Straight unity with nature)
Entrance 700₽, children 150₽. I recommend.
As it is written in the description on numerous websites, you cannot get to it without prior preparation and a great desire. But it is necessary to go, see, eat fish on a trout farm, for a "tick". Of course, if you are not an exquisite aesthete and the view of the station canteens does not frighten you.
This unique place is a must-visit at any time of the year.
There were times in spring when the greenery from all sides aspired to the sun - the sight cannot be conveyed - just an alien feeling.
There was a quieter river in autumn, but the beauty has not gone away.
The place is fascinating.
There's no need to run... Stop and look, listen, feel, think.
A mysterious and mysterious path to the rock, very impressive. You can't really see the monastery itself, and the path along the river is an adventure in itself. The path is not long, but it is very beautiful! Both times we were in the evening, before closing, in the fog you get the feeling that you are in the forest from the vampire saga. There are no handrails, it is narrow, the steps are shaky in some places, the old inscription at the end of the road that it is life-threatening adds to the thrill.
It is located on a trout farm opened under Stalin I.V. A very beautiful place, an old monastery in the rocks, a fabulous forest and fresh water, part of which goes to the trout farm. On a trout farm, you can order a fish to be caught and fried, believe me, it's very tasty, and it's not expensive, within 200 rubles per fish, local adjika will be served along with the fish - a cool thing!!!!....outside the gate, near the parking lot, in the shop you can buy a liter jar of the same adjika for about 600 rubles. It's better to go to the opening of the farm, there are no people!

A great atmospheric place for a photo
Fabulous trees, fabulous moss, the purest water from the mountain.
There are delicious trout nearby.
An incredible place. I recommend visiting
It's a beautiful place. At the entrance, they said that they would visit the 6th century temple, in fact, the temple can only be viewed from afar. Cool trout farming.
A very unusual, picturesque area, there is a path to the rock monastery, beautiful landscapes along the banks of the Mchishta river, below there are ponds where fish are grown. I recommend visiting on your own, admission costs 150 rubles.
It is a very beautiful place, when I come to Abkhazia we always visit it. Shoes should not be slippery to visit this place, you definitely should not go there in flip-flops.
The place is interesting, but be careful when approaching... By the way, you will not reach the monastery, since it is at a height and the entrance to it is in a rock)
A picturesque place. Trout farm on a mountain river. View of the cave monastery, very romantic. But the trail is not equipped safely enough. Children should not be let out of their hands even for a moment. The scenes of "The Last Hero" were filmed there.
