The tour to this hotel was organized by the Horizont company (Moscow). It was the first time. I was captivated by the hospitality of the staff, excellent cuisine, cleanliness and atmosphere in Arabic. There are many activities for children and adults (SPA, tennis, squash). There is no animation in the evening, but themed parties are held once a week. We got to the "Autumn Brunch Party". Super! They took FB+ because they don't have AI. In this case, coupons are issued (4 per day) for alcohol and other beverages. Since we were in a period of low occupancy of the hotel, the buffet was only for breakfast (everything is the freshest, varied menu). And for lunch and dinner, we were offered restaurants on the territory of the la Carte hotel: Greek, Japanese, Italian, Indian and Lebanese. Fantastic - a week of free "la carte"! The pleasure was added by the cleanest sea, an excellent beach and the cleanliness of the hotel (even the skirting boards are vacuumed). A piece of paradise. We are glad to have discovered Bahrain!
The hotel is fantastic. Very small, more like a boutique story. The interior is incredibly beautiful, every detail is thought out. The food is very tasty, everything is fresh, the service from the waiters in the main restaurant is the only moment that I would like to "tighten up", they themselves are not suitable to order drinks - you must first "catch" the waiter) but throughout the dinner, the restaurant manager passes through all the tables and asks if everything is in order. This is the level, obviously, that the hotel cares. A huge plus is that absolutely all rooms have sea views! Any category. The beach is gorgeous, the pool is heated and very warm (mid-November). To everyone who wants to move and hang out - definitely not here) here is absolute nirvana, aesthetics and peace. The first hotel in several years that I would definitely return to.
We had a rest from October 13 to 26. I liked the hotel: the rooms are spacious, everything you need in the room is : Loxitan cosmetics (shampoo, conditioner, body gel, hand cream), water (2 bottles of 0.5 each), kettle, refrigerator, hair dryer, TV (no Russian channels). There is charging for the phone via a USB port (several inputs), but we took additional universal adapters (for the UAE countries), which were useful to us. We took FB+ meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). The food is excellent (buffet), breakfast was always fresh juices (4 types), coffee (various), we had enough of everything. Respect to the chef! There are a lot of free sun beds on the sea (soft, comfortable), towels are given out on the beach without restrictions, the beach is clean, the designated bathing area is shallow, only in the morning the tide is felt and you can swim near the buoys. Water with lemon is freely available (on the beach and at the pool bar), you can take a non-alcoholic cocktail for vouchers (they took it on the beach), water. Alcohol is paid (cocktails from 7 dinars and above). The territory is well maintained, clean, after lunch we rested by the pool, there are always places, the staff is friendly, the pool is good, there is a small Jacuzzi. During our vacation, it was quiet and peaceful, then weddings, conferences, and Halloween were held. These events did not bother us in any way, because we went on excursions with a private guide and managed to miss the hotel. The SPA is cozy, there is a saltwater pool. Treatments (cost per person): facial cleansing -70 dinars, 2 hours relaxation massage – 336$, 90 min: hydro massage, wraps, back massage 30 min, Moroccan bath (Turkish bath type) – 55 dinars, Deep massage – 85 dinars, etc..We liked the rest, we take note of the hotel, there are many advantages, the hotel management reacts to every problem and tries to solve it.
Let's move on to what we would like to improve. We arrived at the hotel around 22 o'clock, paid the fee upon check-in, received the keys, but the manager did not inform us that dinner was before 23 o'clock. I smoothed out a welcome plate of fruits and chocolate in the room, but we missed the introduction to dinner, although time allowed. There is no brief reminder on arrival about the restaurant's opening hours, about the concept of vouchers and where they are issued (they were not given upon check-in), information about the souvenir shop was also not found (located opposite the reception, accidentally discovered). Perhaps there is something on TV, but I didn't want to waste time on it in the first days at all. Previously, the hotel provided similar information to our friends upon check-in, it would be great to return this option. Restaurant operation: breakfast from 6.30 – 10.30, lunch 12.30-15.30, dinner 19-00-23-00. We remembered about the vouchers the next day and asked them to be given out in the main restaurant, we had to ask urgently, after which they were brought to our rooms. We used vouchers to order coffee (at lunch), wine, beer, bottled wine (white, red) in the room.
As for the check-in, we had one voucher, i.e. one reservation for 2 rooms, settled on different floors, it would be more comfortable to live on the same floor, the reservation is known in advance. There are few hangers in the rooms, especially for a 2-week stay. I didn't like the coffee at the reception at all (2 cappuccino, about 10 dinars). The bathing area is small, shallow, it will be great to move the buoys by 2 meters. During conferences and Halloween, hotel guests were asked to dine in another room or to the side, i.e. you can walk through the entire hall, take the same food, but you can not sit in the central area. If events are taking place, then divide into zones, the area allows you to do this so that everyone is comfortable. Or meet at the entrance and inform about it, and not when you go with a plate to the selected table, and they run after you and say that your table is in another room, but there is no clear answer to questions why.
There are bathrobes in the room, small, larger sizes, you need to order at the reception and even if you managed to get a bathrobe of the right size, then the next day it will be taken away, hidden under a pillow, in a bedside table, the game of hide-and-seek continued several times, after they began to write notes to the staff that you do not need to touch the bathrobe. Room robes are not comfortable, but having forgotten clothes, I had to use the maximum service, willingly or unwittingly, to make a comparison with bathrobes in the SPA. In the SPA, they are of high quality and comfortable/of the right size. The guests going to the SPA treatments in their dressing gowns looked ugly with an open bottom.
About THE SPA: there is no printed information about prices and packages, the manager (male) had to extract services and prices. We verbally ordered a gentle facial treatment: massage, an expensive mask, worth 70 dinars per person. We received facial cleansing: steaming the face, mechanical cleansing, less than 1 minute of facial massage and a longer shoulder massage, a cheap alginate mask. The procedure showed that Russia has advanced a dozen years in cosmetology. Of course, we did not remain silent after and during the procedure, they did not sell us what we wanted, such a procedure is harmful for any skin, especially for sensitive skin exposed to the sun. The next day, we shared this with the general manager of the SPA.
It did not work out further with the manager at the SPA, every time he surprised us with his perfect English, then he could not record us for the right day, we had to involve a whole team to record, then he voiced less cost for the procedure, and as a result of our communication he was offended (he was joined by a short man from the SPA, who he stopped greeting us). Fortunately, our next recordings were handled by a charming girl. We liked the staff (girls) of the SPA more, they have more interest in making money and leaving customers satisfied.
After the tests, we asked our guide for the price list of the SPA, and it was sent to us, which made further recordings easier. I would like to emphasize once again that the presence of a printed price list (in English, Russian) can help the guest to study the service in more detail.
Best wishes, success and prosperity to the guests of a wonderful holiday.
I really liked the hotel: excellent food, insanely delicious and varied pastries for breakfast and delicious desserts for lunch and dinner. Everything is very clean, the floors are scrubbed to a squeak. Towels are already lying on the sun beds by the pool. A large and warm swimming pool - it is comfortable to swim even in winter, a warm Jacuzzi. All Lositan cosmetics are in the hotel. There are probably only weddings in the hotel during the winter season: we caught them every day. In general, everything is as in the photos of the hotelier. The rooms are spacious, almost all with sea views.
On Fridays - Latin brunch, it was fun and super tasty!
The beach is not very big, I think it will be a little crowded in the season.
The hotel is incredible! I liked everything very much - the service, cleanliness, safety, the beach, the restaurant, and most importantly the people and their attitude. Everyone is very polite, pleasant, kind, friendly.
The design, the interior, the smells, the room, the garden - everything is amazing. About the hotel - we had an all-inclusive soft: 3 meals a day, buffet + vouchers for drinks (tea, coffee, juices, alcohol). Vouchers work only inside the restaurant, and only juices/lemonades can be charged for them outside by the pool. The hotel has several restaurants with different themes - the package includes meals only at the saraya restaurant. The rest can also be visited, but for an additional fee.
The room is cleaned every day, even like several times a day (including wet cleaning), and in the late afternoon they may knock and ask if something is needed in the room.
There is no toothbrush and toothpaste in the room, but you can ask at the reception and everything will be brought without problems.
In addition to the bay, the hotel has a heated swimming pool and a small Jacuzzi with hot water.
All rooms have views of the bay and the garden.
The rest was a success, we remember it with warmth!
Thanks a lot to the staff! You are the most wonderful!
The hotel was very pleased with the service, food, beautiful grounds, courteous staff. When planning a vacation at this hotel, it is necessary to take into account its location, the cost of a taxi

A wonderful hotel on the first line with its own beach) The sea is clean and calm, there are many sun loungers and there are always places) heated pool, pool bar - everything is super) Saraya restaurant is a very diverse buffet, everything is delicious, various cuisines of the world. The spa at the hotel is simply gorgeous) the only Thalassa spa in GCC.
Room cleaning is excellent, 2 times a day, constant replenishment of water, tea, coffee. The rooms start with the luxury category and all with sea views - an Arabic suite with French chic. I liked everything very much.
The vacation was in April 2024.
a wonderful hotel with caring staff) they will always ask how everything is going with you, sweets will be brought to the room) the rooms are simply huge and spacious. soft beds, high-quality furniture. water, tea and coffee are always replenished in the rooms. clean area, private beach with comfortable sun beds as well as in the pool. we got there when the season was already over, so there weren't enough people here) delicious food, a large selection of drinks for breakfast. there are no hotels in the neighborhood, but there is a residential complex where you can see flamingos. There is also an acceptable supermarket and cafe nearby. in general, I highly recommend staying here. the service is excellent and the territory is very good with rooms)
Just got back from vacation! Everything was just great! The hotel is great! Nice pool, delicious food. Even though we were in Ramadan, the restrictions were minimal. There was no alcohol on the premises, but wine and champagne can be ordered to the room using vouchers that are issued upon check-in. The territory is always clean and the staff is very responsive and polite. There is a Russian-speaking staff, they will always help you. Special thanks to our agent Anna, she will answer all questions and help with everything! The rest turned out to be just fabulous!
A wonderful hotel with its own wonderful beach. The hotel staff is wonderful, friendly and can help in any situation. The rooms are cleaned every day, in the evening, if something is missing at the same time, they come asking what water, towel, tea, or soap bubble products are needed. All cosmetics are in the rooms of the Loxitan company. There is a Russian speaker at the reception, live music in the restaurant, great breakfasts, lunch and dinner for an amateur. Every Friday the food is just super, a very wide variety. In general, everything is great!
A cozy hotel for a beach holiday. Suitable for families with children. Sand on the beach and in the sea. The bathing area is shallow, fenced with a net. For lovers of a relaxing holiday. The hotel staff is friendly, you can choose what to eat from the food. All rooms have a sea view.
A variety of food. I eat seafood for lunch and dinner every day. Very attentive and helpful staff (there is one harmful waiter - only one, but there is))
The rooms are great. There are always free places on the beach. If all the umbrellas are occupied, the staff will bring an umbrella from the pool. A very pleasant place. I recommend it if you are planning a trip to Bahrain.
I definitely recommend the hotel to those who are interested in beach holidays. The food at the hotel is excellent, they brought 5 + kg each) The rooms are clean, the staff is very good, as it should be for the Sofitel, which is only worth preparing for bed) Very nice) We will be happy to come back here again and even more than once)
The hotel is gorgeous, there are few people, the food is delicious, the pool is excellent, the sea is clean, the most important thing is where to go, there is a beautiful park nearby, there are flamingos, turtles, ducks, geese
I am currently staying at this hotel, room 1354. I stopped by three days ago with an 8-month-old child, the cleaning was not done for 3 days, the water is not replenished, you need to go and ask!
I was vacationing with my wife and infant on tour. We arrived at night, but even when we checked in, they organized a dinner in the room at night. All rooms overlook the pool area and the sea and have balconies. We took breakfasts and dinners with drinks. Vouchers are given for drinks - 2 per person for the evening. You can use the voucher to take a portion of alcohol at dinner or a soft drink in the afternoon at the bar. The hotel is far from the center of Manama, 20 minutes by taxi and about 1,500 rubles one way by Uber or you can call from the reception twice as expensive. Alcohol at the pool bar costs about $15 per pint of beer. There are few people in the hotel, mostly Arabs, and since they come to rest on weekends, there is more food on weekends, respectively. The food is monotonous, but there is a large selection of dishes. I really didn't like the service in the main restaurant: the waiters forget orders, don't bring what you ask for. The beach is clean, there are a lot of free sun loungers. I didn't like that the staff can mow the lawn during the day and interfere with rest, it's strange that they don't do it in the morning while the guests are still outside the beach area. It is also often difficult to find a person who gives out beach towels - they always disappear somewhere.

June 18
Great hotel, we stayed here for the third time. There are many reviews about him and almost all are correct. In the middle of June, there are not many people, there is always a place by the pool and on the beach. It is not necessary to run to occupy sun beds))) By evening, Arabs and Indians were crawling out to the pool. There wasn't much food (depending on the number of guests), but there was always plenty to choose from. There were some unpleasant moments that surprised this year, but the staff is trying very hard to keep the bar at the proper European level.
I returned from Bahrain a week ago, I really liked it)) The hotel is cool, clean, very tasty, the staff is excellent. The sea is beautiful, the beach- well, everything is as I love it! I will definitely come back again! Thank you, Bahrain! I'm going to miss you..
Good afternoon!!! We had a vacation in Bahrain in June. The hotel is luxurious, the staff is just super, the food and service are top notch. Only positive impressions. I will definitely come back.
The report is more about a trip to Bahrain, but I'm sure it will help someone. So what future tourists need to know: a visa, at the airport for local money. The exchange is in the same place. The exchange rate is not profitable, they keep a commission on each exchange. Don't change much, just for a visa. For understanding: we changed 40 dollars, received 15 with kopecks of dinars, of which 4 are commission. A 5-dinar visa. One dinar is our 204 rubles. Don't change everything at the airport. There are banks in the city where they change normally. The guide suggested it to us. The hotel is also expensive. We need to find out if it is possible to apply for a visa electronically in advance. I think so, because the Indians came with a piece of paper. Secondly, we need an adapter for our plug. Type A seems to be. Next: we were in Ramadan, everything is closed. That is, the restaurants are closed. Those who go to breakfast will only stay hungry. There is a supermarket, but it is still a limited choice. The hotel is super, everything is perfect. Delicious food, rooms, beach. The toilet on the beach is sterile. For me, the disadvantage is that the bay is shallow. The buoys are waist-high, they don't let them go any further. The country itself is small, there is no excursion program like in other places. We took a private guide on tripadvisor, it was great. I will recommend it if necessary. Spa: expensive! The program is 100 of their dinars, in fact 20 thousand. We will have the same 10-15. But everything is expensive and rich, the quality is good. About departure from the hotel: flight 3.04 at 1.35. Accommodation until 2.04 to 12.00 We were lucky. Extended to 5 p.m. for free, then to 10 for $130. Muscovites were less fortunate than they were over 200. At the same time, the power is not included. Hello supermarket. And also: the guide is the same from all operators, the time of the transfer back is not posted, you need to call the guide. There is a connection in the hotel everywhere, including on the beach. But this is an expensive country. I bought a chocolate bar, 4 dinars or 800 rubles))).
Russian Russian is spoken by Mustafa, the hotel employee who greets Russian tourists, and at first glance is very kind, but !
Before departure, we paid 16,000 thousand rubles for a late check-out (almost on the trail.the day after departure), at 17:00 there is a knock on the door and Mustafa rudely begins to say that if we do not pay 45 bd - and this is 10,000 rubles, then we will be evicted from the room in 10 minutes, and then after we showed our reservation and date, he said that he is not interested in this and he is waiting for money. Naturally, we started to figure out that we don't need to pay anything! A boor who didn't even apologize.
A very pleasant place. All balconies are oriented to the sea. Birds sing in the morning. Although it may be the speakers? But it's beautiful. The staff is trying very hard. "Feed"
- the buffet is great. From entertainment, everything is quite modest. Save the frequent Indian WEDDINGS" on weekends in a national style. Very colorful. They were right before the outbreak. This is one of the best places in Bahrain, if the funds allow. Around this oasis of flowers and palm trees stands a simple seaside town and a desert, and a large wall behind which is a gorgeous park and recreation area of the local "Padishah". The beach line is actually accessible only by the hotel, it is not too long to get tired. About 50 meters from the shore it is fairly shallow, about 2 meters deep and a limiter is stretched. Behind it is a zone of strong currents. It is better not to violate it, otherwise it will take you either to the sea or to the paradisiacal gardens of the royal reserve.
You can walk to the Formula One stadium. 30 minutes through the desert in which you will not even find the grave of a camel.
Or a small amusement park for locals at "space prices". 15 min on foot along the autobahn.
The interiors of the hotel itself are tastefully done. It's hard to find fault. Simple and rich.
But the coronaVirus has "reset" everything. We are waiting for the end of this show.
Inshallah
Everything is the will of the almighty.
A wonderful hotel. A beautiful shallow beach is just the thing for kids.

Overall, the service and food are good. But the sea itself leaves much to be desired. It's shallow and dirty. Food bags, bottles. I don't even understand who is throwing all this into the water.
A very decent hotel, comfortable rooms.gorgeous beds..The food is also on the level...It cannot be compared with Turkey...We are very happy with the rest...and the sea is just gorgeous...Very warm...even some people may find it hot...well, as anyone likes it)..Bahrain itself is very small, smaller than the Moscow region...therefore, the number of excursions is limited...The capital of Bahrain itself, the city of Bahrain, somewhat resembles Abu Dhabi in miniature)
It is not worth the money, the entrance to the bay of sharp stones, the pool is not large, although heated. They are constantly repairing and repairing something, making noise, forgetting about cleaning the rooms.. I don't recommend it
A good comfortable hotel, corresponds to 5 stars. All rooms have sea views, large, with a balcony (which has a couch with pillows), high-quality finishing materials and furniture.
The food is of good quality, there is a sufficient choice of dishes. There are two more à la carte restaurants on site, and you can buy alcohol in them and beach bars (prices are high).
In Manama (the capital of Bahrain) there are special duty free shops where they sell alcohol (they are searched for the word "alcohol" in Google maps or through a taxi driver).
Uber operates in Bahrain, it is better to order a taxi through it. The trip from the hotel to Manama costs about 8 dinars (the hotel offers to call a taxi for 35 dinars!).
The hotel is suitable for those who prefer a relaxing holiday or are ready to entertain themselves on their own. As a rule, there are no animators and activities on the territory, with the sunset life subsides until the morning.
The territory of the hotel is very small, limited by the coastline along the main building.
The sea is shallow, the buoys have a depth of 1.5 m.
The infrastructure around the hotel is not developed - only highways. However, in 3 minutes (400 meters) there is a supermarket, fast food and a shop with fruits and vegetables.
There you can also enter the territory of Zallaq Springs, where there is a small pond with flamingos, there is nothing else to do there.
Prices are Moscow everywhere. There are no problems changing the currency. At the hotel reception, the dinars will be exchanged for US dollars. As of January 2020, one dinar = 165 rubles.
It was in April-May 2019. I quite liked the first half of the rest. Good rooms, well-groomed though not very large territory, its own beach. A good restaurant with traditional Arabic food. But the second week of rest was Ramadan. Only Russians remained in the hotel. Everyone was transferred to the restaurant on the lower level. The former abundance of food was gone, although even then the food was good. Drinks have disappeared from the menu. They could only be ordered in the room. Even the swimming pool on the territory was lowered under the pretext of cleaning and repair, in fact, so that naked vacationers would not confuse believers in the holy month. The beach bar was also closed, of course. So if you go, see when Ramadan is scheduled. The rest is purely beach. There is nothing special to see in Bahrain. One day tour covers all the sights. Despite everything, I liked it
A stylish hotel. The rooms are spacious. For the first time I met a bathroom consisting of three rooms.
Excellent cuisine. A large selection of dishes.
The beach is not big, perhaps during the swimming season there may be problems with a place in the sun or in the shade. All additional services are very expensive, because people come here to relax from Kuveit and other emirates. There is nothing to do outside the hotel.
We were a family from October 29 to November 10, 2018. We took two rooms. I really liked the hotel. The rooms are nice and clean. All rooms look at the sea - the view is amazing, the balconies are super- it's nice to sit and relax in the evening. The food was delicious. The cuisine is both local and European. We liked everything very much, only some kind of strange system to give vouchers for drinks at lunch and dinner. The beach, the pool - everything is great. The sea is shallow, it is fashionable to stand at buoys, so many passed through bikes to the open sea. I really liked the Jacuzzi with hot water - after swimming in the sea or pool, it is very pleasant to plunge into warm bubbling water or vice versa. The staff is friendly, and the Russian-speaking Lilya helped in the restaurant if she had any questions. The territory of the hotel is small, but well maintained. There is nothing to do outside the hotel - one small supermarket is about nothing. If you buy souvenirs, then a good dutifre at the airport.
A magical place! I accidentally got here in October 2019, during the season, and so I came back in January. A chic hotel of the French Sofitel chain, polite staff who are trying to understand Russian English :D By the way, a Russian-speaking employee at the reception!)
Very beautiful rooms (with French Lanvin cosmetics), from the upper floors there is a great view of the sea and the pool. Its own beautiful sandy beach. Lifeguards are on duty both on the beach and near each pool (for real, not for show). In October, a lifeguard rescued a child at sea, while we, vacationers, did not even have time to realize that something had happened.
About the food. I'm taking breakfast and dinner. If you also take lunch, you can not leave the restaurant at all. It's very tasty for me! Moreover, if in other southern countries you can take a dish and make a mistake, then absolutely everything is delicious here! From fruits: watermelons, pineapples (real, not canned), grapes, some kind of orange thing (I don't know the name). Ice cream. Omelets with different fillings and pancakes are served for breakfast :-) Juices are different, fresh: in addition to orange, apple, carrot classics, there are beetroot with celery and other unusual flavors.
In general, I recommend it from the bottom of my heart, I really like it here, it's just a fairy tale!
A family-friendly beach hotel, its own sandy beach, spacious rooms, high-quality service, delicious but monotonous breakfasts. There is an infrastructure outside the hotel, there is something to do, there is a shopping center with a huge food court where you can eat.
I liked everything: the service, the hotel itself, the country ...
But keep in mind, "all inclusive" is valid only on the territory of the hotel...neither on the beach, nor in the cafe by the pool 🤗

November 6, 2018
We were the first Russian tourists who arrived on a direct charter flight from Russia to Bahrain on October 26, 2018. We were pleasantly surprised by the meeting at the airport with flowers and treats. The Sofitel Hotel is located in the small, quiet town of Zallaq. The Sofitel has an oriental flavor with a large beautiful swimming pool and a private beach. We were greeted at the hotel with music, food and drinks. We were quickly checked in and checked into a room. The room is very cozy, spacious, the original design of the bathroom with a window into the living room. A room with a balcony. There is free Wi-Fi. The room has a refrigerator with a mini-bar, fruits, free water, tea, coffee and kettle, ironing board, iron and hairdryer. Very large and comfortable beds in the room. There are at least 2 Russian channels on TV. Lifeguard officers are constantly on duty at the beach and by the pool. There is an interesting children's area with a swimming pool for children. There is a gym and a sauna for adults.
The service is very good. They clean up quickly and cleanly. All the staff is very attentive. The Russian-speaking employee at the reception is responsive, does not ignore any question, is ready to help in any situation. The administrators and waiters of the Saraya restaurant are also very attentive and friendly. I would especially like to mention the waiters Roman and Liliya for their sensitivity and kindness. The restaurant administrators are always interested in whether they like everything. The range includes Arabic, Japanese, Italian and other cuisines. We were pleasantly surprised by the desire of the hotel chefs to please us with Russian cuisine: cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, cutlets...
Coral Travel organizes very interesting tours of Bahrain. Outside the hotel, you can safely walk around the town. A super market, a coffee shop, a post office, a pharmacy and small shops are within walking distance. The locals speak Arabic and English and are always friendly and smiling.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel Hotel in Bahrain!
