Hello, I want to share my impressions from the first day of arrival, the ticket price includes a transfer that is not subject to regulatory vocabulary, if you take a group, then be prepared to stay in the heat near the airport for at least 3 hours until there are 20 people.Next, the border inspection is about 2-2.5 hours, only after that you will go to the paid hotel, if you are late for lunch, then no one will feed you here and they will shrug their shoulders sweetly saying your problems. There is a separate story about the dining room, there are no washbasins at the entrance where they could wash their hands, entrance is not allowed with bags and beach backpacks, in turn, install cells so as not to create conflict situations. The quality of the food remains to be desired, the side dishes are constantly cold, as well as the soup, everything is cooked for a break, baked pollock does not bother to clean the intestines, the salad is coarsely chopped vegetables.A screw was suddenly found in a cucumber and tomato salad, shown to a woman who monitors the food intake of vacationers, replied with a strained face that it was an accident. There was no cleaning in the nomens for 7 days, only garbage was taken out, the carpet was very dirty.Of course, another outrageous factor is that the service staff come in groups after a shift and without taking a shower splash in the pool, where there are mostly children, I do not mind, but simply take a shower in your dorm, and do not wash off sweat and dirt in the communal pool.Of course, these things upset the vacation, but the beauty of Abkhazia, the purity of the air, the warmth of the sea smoothes everything.I would like the administration to take note and eliminate annoying factors for vacationers
They were in May 2021.
The hotel itself is not bad. The building and the room stock are quite good. The rooms are fresh. If you get a big one, it will be quite comfortable. We had a room with a separate shower from the toilet. Comfortable. There are, however, strange flaws: there are no ceiling skirting boards and there are no grilles on the hoods in the shower and toilet. Of course, these are small things. But there are a number of things that can spoil your rest somewhat. And you need to know that.
The sound insulation in the rooms is weak. In the toilet and shower, you can generally hear the co-worker verbatim. You will always be aware of how often they sneeze, blow their nose and when they go to wash or take a shower and not only...
The beds are new, but with hard mattresses, which made our backs ache in the morning. There don't seem to be any double beds, single ones are being shifted, which is not very convenient... There are also difficulties with underwear for such cases. Two sheets are laid. And this is also a so-so solution...
the bed linen is changed every four days. Towels in three. But even these rare shifts are sometimes forgotten. Garbage is thrown out daily and a roll of paper is placed. And even that is sometimes overlooked. The room was not cleaned once during the 11 days of stay. Generally. Soap, shower gel and shampoo were available only on the day of arrival.
Further. The neighborhood of an abandoned old building. It is just between the first and second buildings. There is also a residential four-storey apartment building nearby. Not everyone will like it. Our room had a view of this abandoned building. The laundry for the hotel is dried on the second floor of this abandoned building... There is a car wash 24 adjacent to the pool near the new building. Yes, it is behind the fence, but still. The proximity is immediate, two to three meters. Strange, in my opinion, neighborhoods for recreation.
Taking a shower, you may well be left without water and in soap. It was like that with us. Because in the evening and in the morning, the water pressure decreases, sometimes to zero. Wi-fi works fine at the reception and in the dining area. There is almost no signal in the rooms.
There is a pack of dogs near the hotel. There are about a dozen of them. They are cute and harmless, and even bring a certain flavor. They are delicately begging in the dining room. Although the staff insistently asks not to feed them. But at night they can easily bark for an hour right under the windows and you will have to close the balcony and turn on the air conditioner... There is a TV, but it does not work. The connection is cable, via the Internet. The reception staff first explains the settings to you, and then says that there is simply no Internet right now and they are finding out why. And so it has been for two weeks. The food in the dining room is quite simple, but high-quality and, mostly, delicious. Only, unfortunately, it is monotonous. It's already getting boring in a week. By the way, a very responsive girl named Salome works there. She came to meet us more than once.
The hotel has a small and quite cozy private territory. The dining room in the old building is open under a canopy, in the new one it seems to be covered.
We liked it. For your money . There were no hungry people left. And most importantly, nature and all the sights are within walking distance. The pool is well heated. The only eviction you need to be prepared that you will have to run to the paid toilet while waiting for the transfer after the eviction.
Four people, two adults and two children, had a rest at the Rodina Hotel in late August and early September .Rest on solid 2 or 3 .All reviews clearly describe the situation at the hotel. The food is monotonous , after a week you don 't want to go to the dining room anymore, a nighttime blackout is generally something like cavemen !There are no shelves or bedside tables in the toilet, the rooms are small, the audibility is terrible, especially in the toilet. On the territory of a pack of dogs. Also rotovirus !It turned out that one in five !Don't set foot here anymore! And I don't advise anyone!
We died in July 2022, we are not "greedy Muscovites", as some write. The kitchen may not be bad, but creating artificial queues is tinny. The TV is not working, from the word at all (the receptionist said that it does not work for anyone). They asked for a pillow for a small child, no one provided it for 5 days with the words "it is not allowed for a child, because the room is 3-seater," but we are all people and the human factor must be present. The price for damaged items is so high that it is simply ridiculous. The robes were never given out. There were not even nets on the ventilation in our room, you can hear perfectly well who goes to the toilet. The administrator is a girl with a very high self-esteem, saying that she will do everything in her power, but in the end zero.
I'm shooting stars for food!!! Recycle uneaten food for the next meal!!!!!! Well, here's an example to give you zucchini grated and sprinkled with some kind of seasoning, well, how is that? The beans were on the side dish at lunch, and the next day they made soup out of it! Horror horror and horror again!!
As for the hotel, everything is great, in a simple way the staff is polite, 2 guys work at the reception, they will always help and tell you! The manager is just an angelic woman, thanks to her for everything) There is also a female employee in the cafe area, I forgot my name (such a thin one) just a sincere person! In general, the impression is good! If we made entertainment for children, it would be wonderful, because children have absolutely nothing else to do besides the pool. We lived in the first building) the pool is clean, there are sun beds by the pool and umbrellas, the territory is clean, everything is well maintained and cleaned) the rooms were cleaned regularly, linen and towels were changed)
The hotel itself is not bad, we lived in a New building! The Internet in the rooms is not very good! The food is very diverse and meager! It's not like a buffet, it's more like a Soviet dining room! There are not even salt shakers and napkins on the tables!Complete trash! The territory is not so good either!
A good hotel for an economical holiday in Abkhazia. The food is monotonous, but satisfying. Rooms with a balcony, comfortable beds. It's a long way to the sea.
There's nothing to do with children. There is not a single playground in the area. The building itself is very old, just decorated from the outside. The TV was on for one day out of 9. (which we were there). WiFi seemed to be there. But you can say it wasn't, very poor quality. The receptionist, young but angry as a dog. It requires money for everything, and not a small one. The pool is located on the territory of another hotel, the heating worked twice and only at night. The pool is adjacent to the car wash, the water is probably from the same place. There is also one thing in the tent with excursions. Just to squeeze out the money. There is no service of any kind. The prices do not match the booklets. It's a disgusting place. Basically, like the whole of Abkhazia. Nature is only magnificent. Nothing else.
The owner of the hotel is a great fellow, he keeps the hotel in good condition. Bonus food, it may not be expensive, but the cook tries to cook everything with love, at home.
It's time to change the mattresses! But for the rest, I like it, I was there for the third time quite recently.
The hotel itself is basically normal. Clear. Comfortable rooms. There were problems with the TV. It is powered by the Internet. The food is monotonous. The complete absence of fruits.
I put 3 with a big stretch. One of the advantages is a convenient location in the center and a private beach, although not nearby. Otherwise, hello to the 90s. Poverty, devastation. We lived in a new building. The repairs there are normal. There is a shower, balcony, TV, refrigerator, air conditioner. That's all. The room has not been cleaned once. You realize that the only people who went in there were empty trash bags. No new soap supplies, no towels, nothing. There is no safe. There are no dishes except two glasses. Hot water is practically the same or very weak pressure. The pool is terribly green, without cleaning, one swamp, it's not even comfortable to be near. The dining room is like an old school. The food is disgusting, there are almost no vegetables, no fruits at all. It's better not to eat there at all. We constantly carried a septic tank with us, and everything was processed. There is a sign right at the reception that says what to do with the roto virus. And there, according to the conversation, many people had it. There are many dogs and cats walking around the territory. In general, an unpleasant impression....
+ cleanliness in the rooms, pools for children and adults.
- very monotonous and bland food without much choice, 2 buildings are different organizations (you can not move), there are no laundry services, the second building has terrible quality mattresses, bad Wi-Fi on the 4th floor does not catch at all.
Quite a normal hotel. It's boring in the evenings. Although they said that after 22:00 there is a disco on the beach. The food was cold buckwheat twice. A lot of things are not salty at all. And there are no salt shakers on the tables. Well, this is certainly not Turkey! My daughter still got a rotovirus infection. It's good that on the last day. And so the hotel is good for those places.
We had a rest with children in the second building in May-June 2021, the food is not varied, but everything is delicious.Excellent beds, snow-white linen (everything changes according to schedule),white towels, a white bathrobe in the pool.A polite girl at the reception, all the issues that were addressed were resolved very quickly. The water in the pool does not smell of chlorine, it is warm. The views from the balconies are beautiful, the river murmurs. There is always hot water. There are sun beds and umbrellas on the beach.Wi-Fi in the room catches well, the children watched You-tube on TV.We liked it.I recommend.
Hello. First of all, I would like to say about the bed in 1k. It's a horror, as the night is so hard labor. It's terribly tough, you can't find a place all night, by morning everything hurts even a child. We came to rest, it's not very pleasant. We've been counting the days when we get home, just because of this. Pillows are one name. Then put 2 pcs per person, they should go 2 at a time. Nutrition also needs to be improved. For 2 weeks - boiled pasta, buckwheat, fried chicken every day, stew and sometimes a cutlet. Breakfast is always the same. Coffee and cocoa are generally terrible. Vegetables are just zucchini salad and beetroot. There is no fruit at all.very sparse.
The food is monotonous , for breakfast , lunch and dinner there are always pasta , buckwheat all the time . We had such a situation that we lost a suitcase at Sochi airport, asked for a travel kit, they are not there. In one room, there was a hole in the stretch room , the beds were broken , the Internet does not catch in all rooms , the only plus is the beach nearby. I think it would be more comfortable in a tent near the beach.
We had a rest at the hotel in early July. I liked both the hotel itself and its location. We had a room with two rooms, since there were four of us. Two adults, two children. Yes, the rooms are not big, but we only came there to spend the night. The room has a safe, air conditioning, refrigerator (it works well, the milk is not sour!), TV in every room is android, which is also pleased! Upon arrival, there was soap and shampoos, but since we put out our own, we were no longer informed. The furniture is new, Wi-Fi in the room and on site without problems.
The bed was changed about once every 3 days, towels more often.
The hotel has two buildings. We lived in the first one, the dining room is on the street. The food is healthy! I will not say that it is very diverse, but there was a choice. Maybe someone doesn't like it. Vegetables and meat are stewed, not fried. Porridges and soups are always delicious. The only sweets were honey, jam, condensed milk and sponge cake. There was no fruit.
There is a swimming pool on the territory of the second building. It's for everyone.
The territory is covered, there is a park. However, a hurricane happened with us and knocked down many trees, damaged the fence and benches (((
7 minutes walk to the sea. There were no problems with sun beds, there were fewer umbrellas. But here, as they say, who gets up early ....! The sea is clear. The prices at the beach bar are quite reasonable!
The hotel is well located. On the one hand there is a waterfall (former GRES), on the other a monastery, Stalin's cottage, on the third a cave, a fortress. There is a beautiful park with swans next to the sea. We walked around everything ourselves. Nearby there are shops, a pharmacy, cafes. The prices were pleasing!!! And another important moment for our family is silence! While walking, we passed by other hotels, there is a restaurant on their territory, respectively, the music is sooo loud, you will not want to relax in the room!
In general, I recommend the hotel, I would come here more than once!!!!
We had a rest in August 2022 at this hotel.I liked everything, I won't list it one by one. I would like to express my gratitude to the manager Valentina and the administration of Leo for their attentive attitude to vacationers. Thanks to you, the vacation was a success! Thank you.The codpiece.
The nature is great. 10 minutes from the sea on roads where there are many cars. The food is weak. There are a lot of stray dogs on the territory, which the staff does not chase away. Snakes are also seen on the territory at night and the maintenance staff can't do anything either, because the staff at night consists only of women. The water and electricity are often turned off in the hotel itself. The Internet is turned off and restored for a VERY long time, referring to a common problem. But there is Internet in the cafe nearby and there is also by the pool. In the pool, the water is cleaned very rarely.
In short, they still have a lot to work on the quality of services
During the 5 nights booked here, there has never been a room cleaning. Daily cleaning consists of replacing the bag in the trash, do not count on more.
We took a room with an extra bed: it is impossible to sleep on such a mattress, it is like a hammock. They asked to replace it-they brought the same one.
Towels and bed linen were not replaced even once, even when asked.
There is often no hot water, it is barely warm.
The food is monotonous, in principle delicious.
The 1st building has a dining room on the street, by the river-it's cool out of season.
While sunbathing by the pool, an employee from the new building tried to prevent visiting the toilet, which is located in the New building, referring to the fact that we are from another building.
The management of the hotel, ow! Are you aware of what is happening under your nose?!
Good location, all the sights of new Athos are within walking distance. The rooms are clean and cozy. But the food is not varied, there is little choice, there are no fruits.
We had a rest in our Homeland this New Year. I will never go there again. The kitchen allowed the owner to cook, but he allowed him to cook very little And very sparingly there was nothing to eat. Thanks to the chefs for at least it was delicious. The promised heated swimming pool has not remained promised. They said that they turned it on on December 28th, but it did not warm up until January 5th. And in general, I doubt that someone was heating him up. There was no promised program for the New Year's banquet. There were not even animators, but the hotel staff in the role of the Snow Maiden and Santa Claus congratulated the children on this. Entertained themselves as best they could, the guests gathered talented. Thanks a lot to them for that. The banquet itself was set at home without frills, thank God it was edible. We made a very, very wrong choice. I do not recommend choosing this hotel.👎👎👎👎👎
WE HAD A REST WITH OUR FAMILY ON 31.07-10.08 . I chose a hotel for a long time, so that there would be a pool, I read all the reviews, but as I thought, it was a disappointment. I decided to write a review because I already got a lot. And now in order:
1-check-in , everything is fine here, the room is not bad, it was not cleaned often, but 2 times they vacuumed and changed the bed and towels.
The minus of the room is the terrible stench of the sewer, it comes from ventilation or from water, I don't know, but it's just terrible, like sleeping, eating, washing in the gutter.
2-territory, swimming pool
The usual small area, no special beauties, the pool is normal, only on the 8th day it became very green and no one was worried about it.
But the trip to the sea was disappointing. There are 4 roads to go through, there are no sidewalks as such, there are stalls and cars here, you can bypass them along the roadway, you run over with the children as soon as you can. It was a very uncomfortable trip to the beach and very stressful. Well, the question here is not about the hotel, of course, but about the chaos in Abkhazia and how everything is not equipped for tourists there.
3-power supply
To say that it's bad, of course you can't say, they cook edible, there is meat, there was a fish once, one side dish, mostly buckwheat, from salads-tomatoes day, cucumbers day, sometimes mixed with cabbage and crab sticks. There are usually two meats to choose from, you can eat. We stopped going to breakfast on the 4th day, eggs and sausages and porridge on the water, I just felt sick already.
There are no fruits at all, although August is the season, but no, you can do it. There are no pastries, except mannikins for dinner and for breakfast sometimes. But the most important thing is that there is no water, no juices, nothing, I'm not talking about alcohol, well, God be with him. For lunch, however, there was either compote or jelly, and both adults and children should probably drink tea. The first time I see this, we came to the dining room with our own water and juices and yoghurts. Our children ate separately in the cafe, because there was no food for them here.
4-boring, dull, not even music. That's the feeling that someone bought the buildings, hastily made, determined the minimum budget for each tourist, and like that it will do. There is no customer orientation.
5-and now the most important and filthy thing in this hotel. Turning off the lights every day or night. It's hot outside, you can't go out to sea with the children, it bakes, you think while the little one is sleeping to watch TV or on the Internet to hang out under the air conditioner. But if not, they turn off for an hour, two, three, at night they can almost stay all night, the air conditioner does not work in the heat, the refrigerator leaks, and yoghurts spoil in it, etc. As a result, you wipe the children with a damp cloth at night and they are all wet, sticky, restless nights because of this. I do not know why they do this, they don't give a damn about people at all, saving comes first.
6- transfer and border
We drove 1.5 hours to Abkhazia, stood at the border, stood back for 3 hours , a queue of cars about 5 km , people walk separately with suitcases in the heat, cars separately, there is an interrogation at the border, they look at everyone for a long time, especially children , I do not understand what a particularly important object is Abkhazia that such control is. Let them ask , but just being at the border for 3 hours with children , standing in the heat , is trash .
Transfer is a gloom, I don't understand who allows these people to transport tourist groups. To drive at such a speed along the serpentines , where there is a gorge on the right , too , on the left , cows come out all the time , but he drives , he doesn 't care . To my husband's requests to be more careful , threatening the law , the driver replied: "I am my own traffic police and the police, we have all brothers here, all our own," which means complete lawlessness. God forbid, of course, but with such irresponsible drivers in the alliance tour, trouble cannot be avoided, we were driving right under stress.
And attention for this: a canteen for the poor, constant turning off the lights, discomfort in a smelly room, a "killer" transfer, a trip to the sea, we paid 163 thousand rubles. And plus our own drinks and children's meals at our own expense, we spent 180-185 thousand rubles. It's not too bad for a 3-star boarding house with poor service.
For comparison, last year we went to Turkey in a three-piece for 88 thousand rubles all inclusive, and were so satisfied with the service and food and place, modestly but with a soul and with a good attitude to the client. And what is this, you will pay the money, and then you yourself somehow. Shame. We will not go to this hotel or Abkhazia anymore.
- The food is terrible , not of any variety , cold , not salty , they came up with a complaint - to which we were told that a lot of children are resting and everything is being prepared for them , but we can also add salt . Question is this a hotel or a pioneer camp?
- the water in the showers flowed badly
-in recent days, the reception has cleaned the tables in the lobby 🤦🏼
- there were no hangers in the room.
It's a great hotel, we lived in an old building, but I think it's not much worse than the new one. The rooms are clean, the food is delicious. The sea is a 5-minute walk away. All the sights are also nearby. We'll come here next time only
The food is scarce, the staff tries, but it doesn't always work out. Linen, towels, mattress are good. The rooms are modern. The showers are not comfortable. Bathrobes are available on request.
There is no choice of food!!! Insects in the beds! All the sun beds by the pool are broken! Everything in the rooms is old and broken from the bed to the bathtub! The rooms are not cleaned, only a towel every 5 days and then if you ask! Only nature and excursions saved the rest! We will not go to this hotel anymore! This is part of the disadvantages of this hotel!
I don't recommend it. There are more minuses than pluses. Cons: the rooms in the 1st building are very small, the TV does not work all the time, because there is no vifi (there is a very weak one) we lived on the 4th floor. From the shower cabin you go straight to the room, instead of a refrigerator, the refrigerated display case (very small) does not freeze at all. The water was turned off several times. The linen has not been changed once in 8 days. The maid was not seen. They understood that she came, because she took away the garbage and put a roll of toilet paper. There are no shelves for clothes in the closet. There are 4 hangers for 3 people. It seems that all this is a trifle, but the money was given away, but there is no desired result. It's in the first building. The second one seems to be better. PROS: we weren't hungry. It's monotonous, you can eat. The chefs tried their best. The sea is 5-7 minutes away. Convenient location. On the balcony it is pleasant to drink wine, tea, and have a barbecue in the evening.
Cosmetic repairs are already required in the New building. There are some shortcomings (there is no curtain in the shower, the garbage is standing and stinks at the exit right in the hotel).
The food is very tasty and varied, attentive chefs and waiters.
There is no place for washing personal belongings.
Otherwise, I liked everything. I'll come again.
Good. A modern hotel. The rooms are not large, but comfortable. Each room has air conditioning, bathroom, shower, hairdryer. They always clean up.Polite staff.Buffet meals are served 3 times a day.
I can say for sure that I was lucky to live in this hotel during my vacation! Let's run through the estimated facts: we went on vacation with the whole family (3 people) on a burning ticket. The room was a double room, but the hotel staff went to meet us and, instead of trying to sell us another room, they put an extra bed in an existing one. This is a big plus! The room itself was very clean and cozy, the beds were soft and comfortable, the bed linen was perfectly white and very pleasant! There was a spacious closet in the room, which had a safe (which was very useful to us). The bathroom is separate, which is also very convenient if the room is not a single room. The shower cabin is very clean, the plumbing is new and serviceable. Well, the crown of the room is a balcony! It's just a fairy tale to go out on the balcony in the evening after the sea, sit on a wicker chair and drink coffee. There was minimal cleaning in the room every day, and we also had bed linen and towels replaced once. Speaking of towels, there were two towels per person in the set (a small one for hands and face and a large one). There were also three small bottles of shampoo and shower gel in the room. There were also bathrobes, but unfortunately they were brought to us only at the end of our vacation and only after our request. And yes, they brought us 2 dressing gowns for three people, which is a minus, but not a significant one. The room had a mini-hairdryer, a mini-refrigerator, air conditioning, a TV and a kettle. I can safely give the number 10 points out of 10! The hotel also has its own outdoor dining room on the veranda, which is very convenient! There is no need to walk around the city and look for a place to have breakfast before visiting caves or climbing a mountain. But, contrary to our expectations that there would be national cuisine in the dining room, the food was very ordinary: for breakfast there were various porridges (very tasty!), omelets, vegetable salads; lunch was always hearty - soups, meat, potatoes, vegetable salads. Dinner is also soup (mostly empty chicken broth), meat with various side dishes, vegetable salads. The menu is not particularly diverse, but you can choose the portions yourself - there is a buffet. In general, I can give food 7 out of 10, I would really like to see national dishes. Another advantage of this hotel is the presence of a heated swimming pool on site. And finally, the location. The hotel is a 7-minute walk to the sea, a 10-minute walk to the New Athos Caves and from there you can climb to the Anakopian Fortress. The New Athos Monastery is a 20-minute walk away, Stalin's cottage is also there. In general, the location of the hotel is 15 out of 10! Verdict - I can definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to come to Abkhazia and chooses a place to stay!
It's a cool hotel, it opened in 2018, but everything is new there, the rooms have comfortable beds, a refrigerator, a TV and we even had a separate bathroom. All the shops are within easy reach. Nearby is a gorgeous park with swans, ostriches, geese and owls) The sea is not far away) The food was very tasty, you can choose what you want to eat from the assortment of dishes, cleaned the trash in the room every day and brought toilet paper) Cool excursions are sold near the hotel) We took a guided tour "Jipping. Seven lakes." There are a lot of impressions left))
There are some minor flaws... BUT the sea is a 5-minute walk away. The central position of the hotel - everything you want to see is located around. Within walking distance.. We liked it.
We had a rest from 08/19.
21 to 08/18.21. I'm really writing what's going on there!!
The rooms are very small!!You can't turn around in the shower!!the dining room is a separate conversation, I advise you not to go there!!!we spent the whole vacation eating at the cafe "Luck" the pool is terrible!!!!even getting your feet wet in it is scary!!very dirty!!!Money is thrown away!!!I do not recommend it!!!!!!I won't talk about the car wash next to the pool, everything has already been said below, I haven't worked a day!!!!!It's all true!!!the TV in the room did not work for a day, requests to do something were answered by a bad signal....in short, a solid two do not go there!!!
A good option, you need to go to Abkhazia not for service, but for nature. A comfortable hotel, of which there are few. The only thing I didn't like was the constant queue for food, it reminded me of a school cafeteria. Don't expect delicacies and explosive dinners, but you won't stay hungry either. The hotel itself is clean, the staff is trying their best.
