We lived in June 2021 at the Rodina hotel, 1st koprpus in a room with a view of the park, the location and the view from the balcony are among the advantages. Cons: food, terrible Wi-Fi (which is why the TV did not work), mold in the room, the smell in the dining room from the river, and every second towel with brown and yellow spots...
In terms of location, it's super! We had a balcony facing the backyard. There is a mountain river right under the balcony. It was impossible to exclude food and it was on the top three.
We booked the Rodina Hotel. On the last day, we were told that there are no rooms, but there are in the new building, but we need to pay extra 7800. In addition to the beautiful landscape, the reception and the pool, there are no advantages in the hotel. To catch Wi-Fi, you need to sit at the reception or in the hallway. Administrators have been "feeding breakfast" for the fifth day that they will connect the TV. The dishes are not signed in the dining room. There is no kettle in the room (which we were promised upon arrival) or dishes. In the bathroom, the shower does not close with any curtains, which is why the floor and toilet are always damp. They asked for a mop. We were told to call the maid, she will clean up. We are still waiting for no one to come, the puddle on the floor will dry up soon. There are 4 of us, we were given 3 pieces of soap. When they asked, they also told us that it was not allowed. The nature of Abkhazia is beautiful in itself. But there is no desire to return to the hotel. The expectation of what is posted on the site and the reality, alas, do not coincide.

The hotel is not bad, the food is imported, the choice is minimal. The TV in the room does not show anything. Wi-Fi in the room is free of charge. And only the surrounding nature pleases the eye.
Before booking a hotel, we read the reviews - usually positive and negative. My wife and I have been on vacation for 7 days since April 28, 2021. The cost of the voucher was 43 thousand rubles, including the flight, so it is inappropriate to compare the service with a five-star Turkey.
Advantages: the location of the hotel is close to everything: the Simon-Kananite Monastery, the New Athos cave, the Anakopian fortress on the Iverskaya Mountain, the grotto of Simon Kananite, parks, shops. The hotel is new- the rooms are clean, daily light cleaning, towel change, large swimming pool, 10 minutes walk to the sea.
Cons: there are a lot of stray animals on the territory of the hotel- cats and dogs, TVs do not work in the rooms, constant water interruptions, lack of an elevator - it is difficult to climb to the 4th floor, there is no declared buffet- monotony of food, a lot of children- very noisy and weak noise insulation in the rooms.
In general, we were satisfied with the rest - the gorgeous nature of Abkhazia and friendly locals compensated for some of the nuances of the hotel.
There are no advantages in this hotel, who gave 4 stars is unclear. The sanitary station should be sent to rest in it, there is unsanitary conditions all around and a bunch of huge dogs by the pool, dining room and all over the territory barking and running underfoot.

The operator of Pegasus Touristik did not warn that the room was on the 4th floor without an elevator, in the distance, huge steps, no one helped, my husband and I "tore off our backs", undermined our health with such a "rest". The kitchen is a dining room, without frills, and if you stay for 10 minutes, then you will not have enough of something delicious. The water does not reach the 4th floor, we need a room on the second floor, which were there when we left 10 days later. The staff of the "hotel" and the tour operator do not know where their beach is, we constantly had to pay for a mojito, a sunbed for everyone else. The staff simply shrug it off: go-and that's it, they ran away from me and my husband just not to blurt out this valuable information. I had to wait for water for 3-4 hours in the evening-and not wait. You start brushing your teeth - and when the water suddenly stops dripping, you are left with foam in your mouth and have to chase your husband down the steps to a distant store for water. Terrible noise from the parking lot, no less from the music in the cafe nearby. The Pegasus operator did not warn us that our room would have a view of the dining room-hence all the stench and sounds from morning to night. The non-Russian unfriendly reception forced me to leave the dinner in order to vacate the room. As a result, we sat outside with our suitcase for 4 hours, they wouldn't let us back in, waiting for the transfer bus, the driver of which didn't even know where to go next and we were afraid to miss the plane.

I liked the new building, the decoration of the rooms is almost all from IKEA, there is a TV and refrigerator, air conditioning, bathroom combined in the room, meals in the dining room - buffet, 5-7 minutes walk to the sea. Not far from all the sights of New Athos, I took off one star for the terrible transfer from Biblio Globus, it is best to take a taxi at the airport or find a taxi to New Athos on the Internet, and do not pay for the transfer in the tour.

Devastation. Mud. Rudeness and bad manners of the local population. It's not safe. The prices for everything, accommodation, meals and so on, are too high in comparison with normal foreign resort towns.
We rested in the month of May , the rooms are clean ,friendly staff ,three meals a day, the pool is warm , the disadvantage is stray dogs on the hotel grounds , which are fed by vacationers 🤦
In the old building, the wallpaper is stripped, the mattresses are sagged, the floors in the dining room are full of holes, the food is bland. The Internet is terrible. They don't want to solve problems at the reception. A very good place for walking, all in 5-10 minutes.
It seems normal for 3 stars is very good + there are all excursions nearby for Abkhazia, the hotel is good and so strange do not eat there is nothing there, everything is overdue
We were at the hotel in August-early September 2019. I liked everything: food, room service, staff. The only negative. There is a river next to the dining room, which sometimes smells clearly not of perfume. It looks like all the objects that it flows past are drained of feces into it.
An unfinished, ill-conceived hotel with a bunch of flaws. Cardboard walls, there are always a lot of children. The whole impression of the holiday was spoiled by the boorish staff. They communicate as if they owe them everything, and if you don't like something, they will be openly rude. For your own money. A calm and pleasant vacation is not here.
Today we have been resting for more than a week, and since the second day there has been no light in the room. We have repeatedly appealed, but no action should be taken.

what they lied about..there is no heated pool, and the view from the window in the first building (not the one on the dining room)leaves much to be desired... some kind of incomprehensible, abandoned building and dormitory...however, the walking distance to the sea and the gentrification of the territory are very pleasing.
