We stayed at this hotel on 17.02.21.2021. Of the disadvantages, only the beach, but our travel agent warned us about this. The luxury hotel is located on the outskirts of Stone Town, a 5-minute drive from the airport. They greeted us with cold towels and glasses of juice. They provided a beautiful room, but with a view of the hotel parking lot. We asked an employee to arrange a room with an ocean view for us and after half an hour he came for us and moved us to a luxurious room (over 60 sq.m.) with a view of the pool and the ocean. We paid him $5 for it, he was happy. The room had a large bathroom with two sinks, a shower and a bathtub with gilded legs. The air conditioning system is built into the ceiling and distributes the air evenly, the control panel is located by the bed. The bed is huge and very comfortable. A large plasma panel and a lot of other furniture. The staff is entirely from the local population, they speak Swahili and English, and they learn Russian on the go. They are very friendly, everyone says hello and always with a smile. The room was cleaned every day, the bed was changed as needed. Three sets of snow-white towels were changed daily, the bathrobe and slippers could not be replaced. Shower gel, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shaving kit, toothbrushes, soap - all this was replenished constantly.
Separately about nutrition. When I went to the restaurant for the first time, I was disappointed - there seemed to be very few tables with dishes. Compared to hotels in Turkey, where there are a huge number of dishes. But it turned out that I needn't have worried. There are not many dishes, but everything is very tasty. 3-4 salads each - all edible, several side dishes, chicken, meat, fish and SEAFOOD - squid, octopus, shrimp. We were very pleased with this, seafood was served daily in different cooking options! Especially delicious fruits - watermelons, bananas, pineapples, papaya, mango and passion fruit - juicy and sweet! Juices are always freshly squeezed, different mixes!
The bar serves delicious cocktails with freshly squeezed fruits.
A beautiful blooming garden, hammocks, the scent of magnolia, a swimming pool with pleasant, not cold water.
And one minus is the beach. The local population comes there every evening - they swim, play sports, just walk and stare at tourists. The water is not transparent, you will not have beautiful photos with turquoise water there. We went to the picturesque beaches on purpose.
During low tide, the coast warms up and when the water comes, it just gets hot.
There are no animators in this hotel. Everyone has fun in their own way. But I won't say that we missed them. Beach towels are provided free of charge by card.
I recommend the hotel to visit. This is beauty, luxury, good service and food.
The city is nearby, there is a free shuttle service to and from the city twice a day.

Cleanliness and order, room cleaning every day. The staff is helpful and smiling. The pool is chlorinated every evening. Breakfasts are like everywhere else. Beautiful sunset view😍
The beach is so-so, there are better ones.

You will remember the fabulous interior of this hotel for a long time: luxurious architecture, an eclectic combination of Oriental luxury and European comfort. The standard rooms are spacious, with balconies overlooking the sea or a beautiful courtyard. The food is very varied, there are several restaurants and a BBQ area. The pool is inside the courtyard, which compensates for access to the common city beach. Immerse yourself in a fairy tale!
